Grey interrogates Zarvoketh, learning about a special item sought by the Abyssal God in the Ancient Hell of Asuras and Devils. After Zarvoketh reveals the information, Grey executes him and decides to pursue the item himself. The Lesser Heaven appears, and Grey, with the help of the Fragment of the Heavenly Dao, absorbs its power. Grey and Eterna then investigate an altar, decipher its inscriptions, and open a portal to another dimension, stepping through it together.

They stepped through the portal together.

Reality twisted and warped around them as they descended through layers of dimensional space.

Then everything stabilized.

Grey opened his eyes and looked around.

The Ancient Hell stretched before them.

The sky was a deep crimson red, thick with clouds that never moved. No sun existed here, but a dim red glow came from everywhere at once, casting long shadows across the barren landscape.

The ground was cracked black stone, split by glowing red fissures that pulsed like veins. Dead trees with twisted branches dotted the terrain, their bark charred and peeling. No leaves remained on any of them.

In the distance, massive structures rose from the earth. They looked like temples built from black iron and bone, their surfaces covered in rust and ancient decay. Some had collapsed entirely, leaving only broken pillars and scattered rubble.

Rivers of dark liquid flowed through the land, but it wasn’t water. The substance was thick and viscous, giving off a faint sulfuric smell that hung in the stagnant air.

The silence was oppressive.

No wind blew. No creatures moved. The entire realm felt frozen in time, as if it had been abandoned for countless eons.

Grey frowned as he surveyed the surroundings.

"Something doesn’t sit right about this place," he said slowly. "I don’t know what exactly it is, but something isn’t right here."

Eterna nodded beside him.

"You’re right. I have a bad feeling about this as well."

She paused for a moment, her eyes flickering with data processing.

"I feel some connection to technology in this world," she added. "The Information Layer is relaying things related to robots and mechanical constructs."

Grey turned to her with raised eyebrows.

"Technology? In Hell?"

"Yes," Eterna confirmed. "It’s faint, but it’s definitely there."

Grey nodded thoughtfully.

"Let’s check it out."

They began walking across the cracked black stone, heading deeper into the Ancient Hell.

The landscape remained desolate for a long while. Broken temples and dead trees were the only landmarks they passed.

Then Grey heard something in the distance.

Sounds of combat.

Explosions and shouting echoed across the barren terrain.

Grey picked up his pace, and Eterna followed without question.

They crested a small hill and looked down at the scene below.

A group of devils were fighting each other.

Grey identified them as devils immediately. Their forms were humanoid but clearly inhuman, with horns protruding from their heads and tails swishing behind them. More importantly, he could see their cores clearly.

Each one contained a devil embryo.

But these devils looked different from each other.

One group had yellow-colored skin that shimmered with golden undertones. Their eyes burned with amber fire, and their horns curved upward like crowns.

The other group had white-colored skin that seemed almost luminescent. Their eyes glowed with soft silver light, and their horns curved backward elegantly.

The yellow devils were attacking aggressively.

"You damned White Devils!" one of them roared. "Die! You dare enter our territory!"

"This land belongs to no one!" a white devil shouted back. "We have every right to be here!"

Grey watched the battle unfold with interest.

He noticed something important immediately.

These devils were all at the 12th rank.

Every single one of them.

But he could sense it clearly. There was a far more powerful aura somewhere in this realm. Something beyond the 12th rank.

Grey thought to himself quietly.

Can the 13th rank even exist here?

He didn’t understand how Hell worked, but it certainly seemed different from the endless reality. The rules here might not be the same.

He continued watching the fight for another moment.

The yellow devils were clearly winning. They outnumbered the white devils significantly, and their attacks were more vicious and coordinated.

Grey also noticed something else.

The yellow devils felt more evil.

Their corruption was deeper, their malice stronger. The white devils, while still devils, seemed less tainted somehow.

Grey made his decision.

"Stay here for a moment," he said to Eterna.

He stepped forward and descended the hill casually.

The yellow devils noticed him immediately.

"What? A human?!" one of them exclaimed in shock.

"Kill him too!" another yellow devil ordered.

Three yellow devils broke away from the main fight and charged toward Grey.

Grey didn’t even bother activating any abilities.

He simply walked forward.

The first yellow devil swung a clawed hand at his face.

Grey caught the wrist and twisted.

The devil’s arm snapped like a twig.

Before the creature could scream, Grey’s other hand shot forward and pierced through its chest.

He ripped out the devil embryo and crushed it in his palm.

The yellow devil disintegrated instantly. The other two yellow devils froze in terror.

"What... what are you?!"

Grey smiled at them playfully.

"I’m your friendly neighbourhood Spider person!"

He moved faster than their eyes could track.

Two more devil embryos were crushed in rapid succession.

The remaining yellow devils saw what happened and immediately tried to flee.

Grey raised his hand.

"Divine Thunder."

Lightning descended from the crimson sky, striking down every fleeing yellow devil simultaneously.

None of them survived.

The white devils stared at Grey with wide eyes, completely stunned by what they had just witnessed.

One of them stepped forward cautiously.

It was a young woman with long white hair and silver eyes. Her horns were smaller than the others, curving gracefully behind her pointed ears. Her features were delicate, almost beautiful despite her devil nature.

"Thank you for saving us," she said with a respectful bow. "We would have been killed without your intervention."

Then she looked more closely at Grey and Eterna, who had descended to join him.

Her silver eyes widened.

"Are you both acting as Primordial Humans?" she asked with visible confusion.

Grey chuckled at her question.

"Primordial Humans? No, we are just humans. I mean the real ones. Meaning we are not devils."

Then Grey thought of something. "Wait, I’m not a human."

"Wait technically Eterna isn’t a human too."

"But we do look human don’t we?"

"Okay so, I was kinda human at the start and I still think myself as one."

As he said that, he unleashed his humanic aura.

The white devils behind her gasped collectively.

Several of them immediately raised their guards, hands reaching for weapons.

"Humans?! Here?!"

"How is that possible?!"

"They must be lying!"

The young woman raised her hand to calm them.

"Don’t be wary," she said. "He is our savior. We owe him our lives."

The other white devils hesitated, exchanging uncertain glances.

"But Lady Seraphina..."

"I said don’t be wary," Seraphina repeated with more authority. "Would you rather be dead right now?"

The white devils lowered their weapons reluctantly.

"Yes, Lady Seraphina," they murmured in submission.

Seraphina turned back to Grey with an apologetic expression.

"Please forgive their rudeness. We don’t encounter humans often, and when we do, it usually means trouble for us."

Grey waved his hand dismissively.

"It’s fine. I understand."

Seraphina studied him for a moment with curious eyes.

"You both managed to reach this place," she said thoughtfully. "You shouldn’t be ordinary individuals. The entrance to the Ancient Hell is not easy to find or access."

She smiled warmly.

"Come with me. I will take you to our world. You can rest there and we can talk properly."

Grey glanced at Eterna.

He could sense Seraphina’s intentions clearly with his Buddha Mode.

They were pure.

There was no malice or deception in her invitation. She genuinely wanted to help them.

Grey relaxed his guard slightly.

"Alright. Lead the way."

Seraphina nodded and reached into empty air.

Her hand disappeared into some kind of invisible storage space.

When she pulled it back out, she was holding something that made Grey freeze in shock.

It was an airplane.

A full-sized airplane.

She set it down on the cracked black stone, and it expanded to its proper dimensions.

Grey stared at the vehicle with wide eyes.

"What the hell?"

Seraphina tilted her head in confusion at his reaction.

"Is something wrong?"

"You have an airplane," Grey said. "In Hell?"

"Yes?" Seraphina replied, not understanding his surprise. "How else would we travel long distances quickly?"

Grey exchanged a glance with Eterna.

Eterna’s expression remained calm, but Grey could see the interest in her eyes.

"Let’s get on," Grey said after a moment.

They boarded the airplane together with Seraphina and the surviving white devils.

The interior was surprisingly comfortable, with plush seats and ambient lighting.

The airplane lifted off smoothly and began flying across the crimson sky of the Ancient Hell.

Grey watched the landscape pass beneath them through the window.

More dead forests. More broken temples. More rivers of dark liquid.

But in the distance, he could see something different.

A massive settlement surrounded by white walls. Buildings rose within those walls, and lights glowed from countless windows.

That must be where they were heading.

As they traveled, Grey decided to do something he had been putting off.

He reached into his Lesser Heaven space and retrieved the Chaos Source Codex fragments.

It was time to merge it with the new fragment.

Grey held the fragments in his hands and began channeling his energy into them.

The pieces resonated with each other, pulling together like magnets.

They fused seamlessly, becoming a larger, more complete fragment.

The moment the merger completed, something unexpected happened.

Grey’s consciousness was yanked out of his source.

Everything went black but just as quickly light returned and Grey found himself standing in a completely different place.
