Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven Chapter 642: Three Months Till Higher Realm And 10th Rank

Soon, all of them reached the Nexus Domain.
As soon as they reached the place, Elder Tharos pulled out a communication crystal, his fingers moving swiftly across its surface.
"I will now summon the other envoys and have a talk with them," he said. "Give me a few moments."
Saying that, he went out and began talking with the other two outer disciples from the Myriad Realms Sect. Compared to the other two, he was far inferior to them. His senior sister, Seraphine, was someone who was already eyed by many figures in the sect. She was just sent here for training and recruitment.
After transmitting what had happened in the Chaos Realm and telling them about Grey’s plans, they agreed to come.
Within moments, two more figures materialized in the Nexus Domain as Elder Tharos sent them the coordinates.
The first was a woman with flowing white hair and calm silver eyes, her aura radiating wisdom and tranquility. This was Seraphine, the master of Lyris and one of the most respected figures in the Higher Realm. She excelled in Dimensional Conquest.
The second was a tall man with a scholarly appearance, his robes covered in strange runes that shifted constantly. This was Varen.
Grey led everyone to a large meeting room inside the tower.
The table was massive, able to seat over twenty people with ease. Around it sat representatives from every major faction present.
The Celestial Covenant took one side with Patriarch Aurelius and Lyris. The Mind Collective representatives sat nearby.
Alan and Alissa positioned themselves close to Grey, while Ouroboros lounged in her chair like she owned the place. Joestar and Isolde had arrived moments earlier, taking seats near the back.
The three envoys studied Grey with careful eyes.
Unlike Tharos, Elder Seraphine and Elder Varen showed no hostility. They had already heard about his deeds in the Chaos Realm and how he had faced the Asura alone and survived.
Such a feat demanded respect.
"Hey, kid," Ouroboros said with a thoughtful look on her face. "I really didn’t expect you to encounter the remains of the Buddha."
Grey turned to her with curiosity.
"You know about the Buddha, Senior?"
"Of course I do." Ouroboros leaned back in her chair. "The Buddha was a formidable figure. His dharmic power was so absolute that a specific layer of Hell was created because of him. Even the concept of Asura was realized after he achieved transcendence."
She tapped her finger against the table.
"Only those who follow the Buddhist path can transform into an Asura by giving in to their emotions. For others, they would need to find different methods."
"There are all sorts of Asuras," she continued. "Some are devoted to combat, while others are devoted to bloodshed and killing. Most often, these Asuras excel in their chosen fields. If they claim second place, no one dares claim first."
Grey nodded slowly at her explanation.
"Have you been to the Higher Realms, Senior?" he asked.
Ouroboros existed above the normal scales, on the same level as the God World itself. Places like Zenith Heaven were beneath her domain.
"Well, yeah." Ouroboros nodded casually. "I have indeed visited the lower Higher Realms before. Their scale is pretty vast."
"I see." Grey filed that information away for later.
Then he stood up and grabbed everyone’s attention.
"Today, I called everyone here to discuss the Higher Realm," he announced. "For starters, I want to know when access will open up."
"If everything goes according to plan, roughly three months from now," he said. "We have been preparing to take the current batch of talents from here. Once we return for more, competition will be fierce."
He glanced at his fellow envoys.
"We were among the first to enter this plane due to a special artifact. But other sects must have realized this by now. They are likely preparing to send their own forces down."
Grey nodded at this information.
"What is the minimum requirement to ascend?" he asked. "What life level does one need?"
"At minimum, you need to be at the ninth rank," Elder Seraphine answered gently. "Tenth rank is preferred for stability during the transition, but ninth rank will work fine if there is someone to support them."
Grey appeared thoughtful upon hearing this.
That meant the people who could ascend with him would be limited. Only he, Alissa, and a few others met that threshold.
But that was fine.
He wasn’t planning to stay in the Higher Realm for long. Once he reached Zenith Heaven and found his grandfather, he would figure out a way to bring everyone else up.
After that goal was achieved, he doubted he would need to remain there.
"Alright." Grey moved on to his next point. "I also formed this meeting because I wanted to discuss the Devil’s Court, the Eternal Dominion, and the Throne Alliance."
His eyes swept across the room.
"Now that their leaders are gone, I believe it’s my right to take over those domains. Does anyone object?"
Silence filled the chamber.
Patriarch Aurelius was the first to speak.
"The Celestial Covenant will support this decision," he said firmly. "We will even assist in the transition if needed."
No one else raised any objections.
With that settled, the meeting dispersed.
Grey left the tower with a specific destination in mind.
There was a universe he needed to visit, one that had stolen a name that rightfully belonged to him.
He traveled through the Chaos until he reached the so-called "Nexus Universe."
The ruler of this place was a peak twelfth-rank expert who had lived for countless eras. When Grey arrived, the man refused to cooperate.
"You want me to rename my universe?" The ruler laughed arrogantly. "Who do you think you are?"
Grey didn’t bother with words.
He simply attacked with Buddha Mode.
The battle lasted less than five minutes.
By the end, the ruler lay beaten on the ground, his power completely suppressed by Grey’s Dharmic Power.
"Fine!" the man spat out blood. "I’ll change it! Just stop!"
Grey smiled pleasantly.
"Good choice."
Together, they traveled to the Central Hub.
The ruler registered the name change with the Universe Management Bureau, his face twisted with humiliation the entire time.
Grey walked out with satisfaction, the name "Nexus Universe" now officially belonging to his domain.
On his way back, he stopped at the Chaos Mine.
Mining bots continued with their work, harvesting stones at a steady rate.
This mine would be crucial for his universe’s growth.
He planned on expanding his influence across this entire plane of existence. To do that, he needed resources, and this mine would provide them indefinitely. Later, he would also get the mines of the other domains he had just conquered.
He would continue overseeing this world with his clone.
With everything in order, he returned to the Nexus Domain.
Three months remained until the Higher Realm opened.
But for now, it was time to research the 10th rank.
