Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven Chapter 641: Aftermath of the Chaos Realm

Soon, Grey returned to his normal form as the golden light faded from his body. Elder Tharos still knelt on the ground, his eyes filled with the same disbelief as before.
"Impossible," he muttered. "How can such a thing be possible?"
He knew this realm contained opportunities, but he never expected one of those opportunities to be obtaining the power of a Buddha and becoming capable of overcoming everyone here. It was simply unbelievable.
Grey looked down at him with a casual expression.
"Did you guys enter this place knowing that the remains of the Buddha were here?"
Elder Tharos slowly shook his head upon hearing him.
"It was never supposed to happen this early, and we didn’t know anything about what was inside. We only knew this realm contained a great opportunity."
Grey appeared thoughtful at his words.
"How did you know about this place, then?"
"One of the envoys from the Higher Realm divined the opening of this Chaos Realm," Elder Tharos explained. "We came hoping to find treasures, not the remains of a Buddha."
Grey nodded. That made sense.
On that note, the remains were not of just any Buddha, but of the original and first Buddha. However, he wasn’t going to correct them since they didn’t need to know.
He then studied the burned and beaten envoy for a moment.
"I’m sure you know why I left you alive by now."
Elder Tharos met his gaze and gulped.
"You want to know about the Higher Realm, if I’m not wrong."
"Indeed," Grey said. "Tell me everything you know about the Higher Realm and the sect you came from."
Elder Tharos took a shaky breath before speaking.
"I am from the Myriad Realms Sect, a subsidiary sect of the Zenith Heaven Sect. We act in the interests of the Zenith Heaven Sect and carry out their will in the lower planes."
Grey listened carefully to every word without interrupting him.
"I am only an outer disciple in the Myriad Realms Sect," Elder Tharos continued. "I was sent here to find promising candidates and bring them back to the Myriad Realms Sect for the upcoming sect war."
"Sect war?"
"Yes. The Higher Realm is called the Red King Realm, and the Myriad Realms Sect exists within it."
"The Red King who controls this realm is also a disciple of the Zenith Heaven Sect. The entire realm operates under Zenith Heaven’s authority."
Grey’s eyes flickered with interest at his words.
The Zenith Heaven Sect was exactly what he needed. His grandfather, Wilhelm, was somewhere in those Higher Realms.
"Recently, all of the sects there have been fighting for a spot in the Zenith Heaven Sect, and that is what caused the sect war to happen. As a result, we were sent here to find people to bring back up."
"Is that so?" Grey appeared thoughtful. It seemed like the Zenith Heaven Sect had much more influence in the Higher Realm than he initially thought.
"I want to go to the Higher Realm," Grey said directly. "You can bring me there, right?"
Elder Tharos nodded immediately.
"The realm will soon open its doors for ascension. We envoys can directly choose who enters and who doesn’t."
Grey crossed his arms at his words, clearly unconvinced.
"I’m not convinced enough. I want you to swear an oath."
Elder Tharos didn’t hesitate.
He placed his hand over his chest, and golden light wrapped around his body as he spoke the binding words.
"I swear on the Heavenly Dao that I will bring Grey Lockhart to the Higher Realm safely. If I break this oath, may my cultivation shatter and my soul scatter."
The oath soon took effect as the Heavenly Dao acknowledged it.
Only then did Grey let his guard down slightly. This man clearly feared death more than anything else, and controlling people who feared death was very easy.
Grey then turned his attention inward, examining his own body.
The short moment he spent in Buddha Mode had been powerful, but its true strength only reached the peak of the 12th Rank. It couldn’t have dealt with Elder Tharos at his full power.
Luckily, the envoy’s 13th Rank strength was sealed inside him due to the dimensional suppression. That seal made it impossible for Elder Tharos to resist Grey’s attack.
Grey also understood the limitations of his new ability.
This empty shell of the Buddha was no longer as powerful as the original. Most of its energy had been absorbed by Asura Naraka over countless eras, leaving only a small amount of dharmic power behind.
However, this clone would still be useful to him.
He could make it follow the Buddha Path and grow independently, allowing it to become stronger over time while providing him with additional protection.
Grey’s thoughts shifted to the escaped Asura.
"That Naraka guy is only going to get stronger from now on."
It wasn’t his style to let enemies go, but he had no choice at that moment.
Not to mention, the Asura had fled into Hell itself. Grey had no idea where to even begin searching for him.
For now, the best he could do was grow stronger and hope Naraka wouldn’t attack him.
It was clear that the Asura was interested in his power related to the Nexus.
Just then, two Reality Ships appeared in the sky above the stupa.
Alan’s vessel arrived first, followed closely by Joestar’s Helios ship.
The moment the doors opened, a figure shot toward Grey at full speed.
Alissa crashed into him and wrapped her arms around his body.
Grey smiled warmly and hugged her back.
"Are you no longer afraid of showing affection in public?"
Alissa’s face turned bright red. She quickly let go of him and stepped back.
"I was just worried," she mumbled while looking away.
Grey chuckled at her embarrassment.
Nearby, Lyris watched the scene with curious eyes. A strange light flickered in her violet gaze as she observed Alissa standing close to Grey.
Joestar walked over with a complicated expression on his face.
"Hey, Joestar," Grey greeted him casually. "Fancy seeing you here."
Joestar’s lips twitched.
"You’ve really outdone yourself, friend. I sensed that attack from the other side of the realm."
"You’ve grown stronger in such a short amount of time. But I guess it’s expected from you."
Grey simply smiled at those words.
Isolde stood behind Joestar, her eyes studying Grey with a mixture of respect and wariness.
The power she had witnessed today completely shattered her understanding of him.
She had once regarded him as an arrogant Earth transmigrator, and now he stood above her.
Alan approached next, his expression carrying genuine gratitude.
"Thank you for sparing the Mind Collective, Master Grey."
Grey waved his hand dismissively.
"I knew they had some sort of connection to you, which is why I let them go."
"Still, I must thank you," Alan said with a bow.
The Mind Collective members stood nearby with bewildered expressions.
Their eyes darted between Alan and Grey repeatedly.
The creator of their evolutionary path was calling an 18-year-old his master. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
One of them leaned toward another.
"Did Senior Alan just call that boy Master?"
"I heard it too, but it can’t be right."
Grey ignored their whispers and addressed everyone present.
"Let’s go. There is nothing left to see here for now. We need to discuss more about the Higher Realm."
He then turned to Elder Tharos.
"Can you bring the other envoys to my universe as well?"
Elder Tharos nodded quickly.
"I can contact them. They will come if I explain the situation."
"Good," Grey said. "Make sure they understand the terms. Cooperation will benefit everyone."
Patriarch Aurelius of the Celestial Covenant stepped forward with Lyris at his side.
"Young man," he said with a respectful tone. "I must thank you for protecting my daughter during your time together."
Grey glanced at Lyris briefly.
"She helped me as well. There is no need for thanks."
Lyris’s cheeks flushed slightly at his words.
"Elder, I mean, Grey," she corrected herself. "Did you know you would win here?"
Grey simply shrugged at her words.
"Who knows? Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t."
He didn’t elaborate since that would ruin the whole mysterious expert persona.
Lyris nodded, a small smile appearing on her face.
Patriarch Aurelius placed a hand on his daughter’s shoulder.
"The Celestial Covenant will remember this day. If you ever need our assistance, do not hesitate to call upon us."
Grey accepted his words with a nod.
"You guys are coming too, right?"
They naturally nodded.
The events of today had changed everything.
He had gained the Buddha Mode ability, a powerful clone that could grow independently. He had also secured a path to the Higher Realm through Elder Tharos.
Most importantly, he had learned about the Red King Realm and the Myriad Realms Sect.
His grandfather was somewhere in those Higher Realms, and now Grey finally had a way to reach him.
Alissa moved to stand beside him again.
"What are you thinking about?"
Grey turned to her with a smile.
"Just planning our next steps. We have a lot of work ahead of us."
Alissa nodded, her blue eyes filled with determination.
"Whatever comes next, I’ll be right beside you."
Grey reached out and gently took her hand.
"I know you will."
They boarded Alan’s Reality Ship together, leaving the stupa behind.
