Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven Chapter 533: Overpowering Ascendancy Power?

Boom!
The flow of time resumed its normal pace, and astonished eyes filled with worry darted around. Alissa's cry pierced the air.
Yet, Grey’s focus remained unwavering. He initiated the precise sequence he had visualized countless times. The Heavenly Dao lent its support, drawing metamorphosis energy from an unseen origin.
In the world outside, a distinct soundwave rippled outwards like a halo surrounding Grey. Frequency and soul collided, violently tearing the fabric of reality asunder. The Ascendancy projections hurtling towards him faltered and shattered, their might absorbed by the sonic phenomenon.
Boom!
The surrounding space fractured, allowing chaotic spatial currents to surge inwards. Grey’s form became one with the Axiom power, which manifested as a magnificent dragon.
"You, what is that power?" Shroud Heaven’s eyes widened in utter disbelief.
"You don't need to know," Grey’s voice crackled through the void.
As he spoke, it felt as though reality itself was unraveling.
"This…" Alan and the Spirit Ancestor exchanged glances of astonishment. "He overpowered the Ascendancy power?"
Until this moment, Ascendancy power was recognized as one of the supreme forces within the vast expanse of reality. It was now being effortlessly thwarted by this peculiar new force.
Grey’s power surged forth, taking the shape of flickering, radiant cubes that disintegrated reality as they advanced upon the Paragon.
In the subsequent instant, the cubes, forged from Axiom power, utterly corrupted Shroud Heaven. His form began to rapidly cycle between rewinding and fast-forwarding, akin to a corrupted data stream, before the cubes consumed him entirely.
Shroud Heaven’s final perception was Grey reverting to his human shape and impudently flipping him the middle finger just before his vision dissolved into nothingness.
The dwindling remnant of Ascendancy power within the Paragon was absorbed directly into Grey’s core. Swiftly, Grey relinquished his grasp on the Axiom power, realizing that even with the heavens’ backing, this energy was still too immense for him to sustain as a mere fifth-rank cultivator.
'Fragment, utilize your remaining power to assist me in forming the subsequent frequential helixes.'
He was determined to seize this unique opportunity. With the heavenly power coursing through him, he could bypass the time gate typically required for each breakthrough.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Sequentially, his Nexus cells ignited, each illuminating with vibrant frequential helixes, twenty-five forming within each cell until the last one also lit up.
However, he had one final surge of effort remaining. He channelled all his accumulated frequential energy into his very first Nexus cell and dispersed the rest into the cosmic meridian containing it. Immense pressure was applied from both extremities, forcing a merger between the cosmic meridian and the Nexus cell.
Boom!
The structure imploded inwards, and his first genuine singularity materialized. His presence intensified dramatically, sending tangible shockwaves throughout the mystical world.
"This aura… he’s emanating a seventh-rank aura." The Spirit Ancestor and Alan wore expressions of sheer astonishment.
Alan performed an even more detailed analysis. 'Seventh rank, second level.'
This was precisely the level of power Grey was now radiating. A cultivator at the fifth rank, not even at the apex of his stage, was emitting an aura capable of rivaling a true seventh-rank expert.
Sensing this magnitude of power, Alan acknowledged that becoming Grey’s disciple was unequivocally the correct path.
'Should I transition to his evolutionary trajectory?' Alan found himself genuinely tempted. He had initially become a disciple solely for access to the information layer, but he understood Grey could effortlessly breach it utilizing the Mecha race’s analytical capabilities. For the first time, he truly believed his decision was sound.
Alissa observed Grey silently, her gaze falling upon the slender, luminous barrier that enveloped her. It was Grey’s energy. Even amidst a confrontation with a formidable opponent, he had not forgotten to protect her.
She felt a peculiar emotion dawning upon her as she realized this fact.
"Is this raw power a direct consequence of the Heavenly Dao's intervention, Saint Grey?" the Spirit Ancestor inquired, uncertainty coloring his tone.
"Of course," Grey responded with a slight smile. "It’s impossible for a mere fifth-rank cultivator to naturally radiate a seventh-rank aura, isn't it?"
"That is indeed true," the Spirit Ancestor concurred, letting out a long sigh of relief. "Nevertheless, to think you managed to eliminate a Paragon clone single-handedly. I am pleasantly surprised, and it appears I significantly underestimated you."
"As the one who guided you into this domain, I wish to apologize for this perilous turn of events," the Spirit Ancestor stated apologetically. "I shall inform Helios and arrange for suitable compensation for you."
"Do not reveal my existence just yet," Grey requested after a moment of contemplation. "Maintain my anonymity from them until I achieve the eighth rank."
"Agreed," the Spirit Ancestor responded with a nod. "If that aligns with your wishes. You've secured the safety of myself and everyone present, so keeping a secret is the least I can do." Satisfied, Grey nodded. "For the time being, our priority is locating Lin Fang. He must be concealed somewhere in the vicinity." "Let's divide our search efforts. Alissa and I will stay together, as she may struggle with the world's ambient pressure on her own. The rest of you, please proceed in different directions." With swift agreement, everyone dispersed, heading their separate ways. "So, would you prefer I carry you as we traverse the skies, or do you simply wish to hold hands?" Grey inquired, turning to Alissa with a playful smirk. "Carry me," Alissa responded, casting a mild glare in his direction. "Why would you even ask? Wouldn't flying together be the more efficient method?" "Then, come here," Grey extended his arms invitingly. "I shall dutifully protect my wife." "Who asked for your protection?" Alissa huffed, taking a step forward with a slightly flushed expression. Grey promptly gathered her into his embrace, holding her securely as they ascended into the sky to commence their search. As they soared, the obscured world gradually unveiled its hidden splendor. They glided past ethereal floating islands composed of amethystine rocks, where luminous waterfalls cascaded gently into an ocean of mist. Alissa requested he pause near a cluster of crystalline trees, their leaves emitting a soft chime like miniature glass bells with the passing breeze. She was eager to capture images of the flowers blossoming along the soft, cloud-like banks. "I must show these to Miwa," Alissa murmured, her device busily recording the tranquil, pastel-hued scenery. After she had documented a spiral tower intricately formed from verdant vines, they resumed their journey, venturing into another sector for their search. Shortly thereafter, a telepathic message transmitted by Alan reached Grey. He had, at long last, discovered Lin Fang's location.
