"Grey... are you there?" All eyes were currently fixed on him, filled with worry.
His Crown of Finality had just materialized out of nowhere, and he had been staring blankly at the wall ever since.
"I was conversing with Finality," Grey stated in a low voice.
"Speaking of Finality," Melissa exclaimed suddenly. "The light also tasked me with finding Finality and taking its crown. It said it would bestow upon me a Paramount Ascendancy Valor for my efforts. Ah..."
Melissa trailed off as her gaze fell upon Grey’s crown.
"That crown... Little Grey. Is that truly the Crown of Finality?"
Everyone present was equally astonished.
Grey offered a wry smile at her reaction.
"Indeed. This is the Crown of Finality," Grey confirmed. He had never openly displayed the Crown of Finality before, and most were unaware of its existence.
"It really is." Melissa was utterly dumbfounded, left speechless.
Alissa silently observed Grey’s halo. It suited him remarkably well, noticeably enhancing his aura.
Of course, she wouldn’t voice this thought aloud; it would be far too embarrassing.
Then, a new inquiry surfaced in her mind.
’Is this where your power originates from, Grey?’ Alissa scrutinized him intently. Her lips parted slightly.
As a True Dragon, she found herself unable to match Grey’s strength. While she couldn’t pinpoint the exact reason, it seemed intrinsically linked to this.
"In any case, let’s return to the main topic," Grey interjected.
"I urge all of you to remain vigilant—Julie, Dad, Mom," Grey’s voice adopted a serious tone. "We are the pawns that the paragons intend to use to reach the fragmented Core."
"Should we permit this, the Core will be pilfered, and the consequences for the entirety of reality remain unknown."
More significantly, he had no intention of letting the paragons seize it. The Core rightfully belonged to him.
"That Core," Finality interjected suddenly. "Even if it falls into the wrong hands, they will never uncover its true essence."
"It requires Nexus energy to function," it elaborated. "You are the sole being capable of utilizing it. Your ability to harness it signifies that no one else in this world can, apart from you. Even if you were to hand them the schematics, it would prove futile. That is, unless someone discovers a loophole or eliminates you."
"Is that so?" Grey expressed his astonishment.
This revelation carried immense weight. Initially, he had opposed the dissemination of Nexus energy due to the Heavenly Dao and his desire to keep this superior energy for himself. However, to learn that it would be unusable by others, even if shared, was quite unexpected.
"Shouldn’t we inform your grandfather about this?" Angela and Anderson inquired, their voices laced with concern.
"He will be alright," Grey responded. "Still, it is peculiar. He managed to reincarnate into our world as an outsider. He is no ordinary individual."
"For the moment, our priority is ensuring everyone’s safety."
With that, he steered the conversation in a new direction.
"Furthermore, we must arrange suitable accommodations for the gods."
"Gods?" Angela and Anderson looked utterly perplexed.
"Yes, the individuals who returned with me on the spaceship are gods," Grey replied with a slight smile.
"What?!" Everyone else erupted in disbelief, with the exception of Valeria and Alissa.
"Ah, yes. I neglected to introduce you." Grey gestured towards Lia. "This is my girlfriend, who also happens to be the ruler of the God World."
"..." For a fleeting moment, absolute silence descended upon the room.
"Um... it’s a pleasure to meet you." Lia offered Angela and Anderson a small bow, a hint of embarrassment in her expression.
She was being formally introduced to Grey’s parents, and naturally, she wished to make the best possible impression!
Nevertheless, she suspected her parents-in-law might not object to their eventual union. After all, they already had Little Hong.
"Please, d-don’t bow, Miss Lia. You are a god," Angela stammered, almost too awestruck to speak coherently.
This reaction was entirely understandable. The ruler of the God World was her son’s girlfriend? It far surpassed her wildest expectations.
Every parent desired a suitable daughter-in-law, but this was beyond anything she could have imagined.
"Haa... a man of your caliber. Your father is immensely proud, Grey," Anderson declared, clapping Grey heartily on the shoulder, his voice thick with emotion.
Shortly after, Grey departed from the room. Angela, however, drew Valeria, Lia, and Little Hong to her personal quarters within the tower, eager to spend more time with the young women and get to know them better. They were, after all, her potential future daughters-in-law. Julie also accompanied them.
Only Alissa remained.
She gazed into the now-empty room, a moment of quiet contemplation passing before she awkwardly took her leave.
"It is time to enter the Creator Space and initiate the process for rank six cultivation," Grey mused to himself.
With recent developments, remaining weak was no longer an option. The creation of the sixth rank was imminent.
But prior to that, he intended to visit the space to meet his fellow authors.
Whoosh!
Although the standard method to access the Creator Space involved a virtual machine, Grey possessed the ability to directly transfer his consciousness to the data node. This difference, however, ultimately made no impact on the outcome.
Upon arrival, his vision swam into focus, revealing a vast expanse. Numerous research centers, each bearing a distinct name, dotted the landscape. These included centers such as "Frequency Martial Arts Research", "Fire Meridian Explosion Path Research", and "Runic Evolutionary Path Research", among many others.
A constant stream of individuals moved in and out of these facilities. Access to this domain wasn't restricted solely to the elite; even the assistants of higher-ranking citizens were permitted entry.
Grey also had the option to bring others along, but he deemed it unnecessary. While many depended on a multitude of people, he chose to operate independently.
At that moment, a system interface materialized before him.
[The Esper author is conducting a small lecture class on the Aetheric Evolutionary Path. Would you like to join?]
A palpable buzz rippled through the crowd around him.
"The author of the Esper path has finally completed their research?" The surrounding scholars expressed their excitement, their voices filled with anticipation.
This particular path had become the subject of widespread discussion within the Creator Space, and everyone was eager to gain a deeper understanding of it. Now that the Esper path's author was hosting a live lecture, it signaled the culmination of their study.
With a flurry of activity, everyone eagerly selected the join option, causing their forms to vanish as they were teleported away.
"The Esper author, you say?" Grey mused, a slight smile gracing his lips. "Let's see what insights they possess."
He harbored a keen interest in this enigmatic Esper author and their perspective on this path. Without hesitation, he also selected the join option.
