Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven Chapter 463: Back me up, Grey Lockhart
Across the vast starry sky, Tian Yuan was a figure known to every soul—an ancient and horrifying existence.
Once regarded as one of the cosmos's supreme divine forces, he turned to ruthless experiments on humans and various races to pursue his ambitions. In time, the Daoye Palace became labeled a heretical sect.
Yet his name lingered in memory because even the eldest, mightiest ancestors of the starry sky proved powerless against him. Rumors even swirled that one such supreme human ancestor had been his disciple long ago!
"Heretic Tian Yuan!" Grand Arbiter Matthew bellowed in utter disbelief.
"Hey, don't call me a heretic, or I'll break your legs," Tian Yuan shot a icy glare at Matthew. This insignificant pest dared label him a heretic? Hadn't he realized that in his home universe, Tian Yuan commanded utmost reverence?
"It turned out to be him," Anderson murmured, his face twisting into profound confusion.
"You know him, Dad?" Grey inquired casually from his relaxed seat, viewing the chaotic spectacle with a blank expression.
"Yes, I know of him. Your grandfather specifically cautioned us about him," Anderson replied in a stunned, quivering voice.
Suddenly, Angela dashed ahead and enveloped Grey in a tight embrace, leaving him utterly puzzled.
"Don't worry, Grey. You'll be safe. You're protected with your mother," Angela assured him, her tone brimming with grave certainty. "Your grandfather instructed us to avoid him at all costs. If we encounter him, we flee right away. He's an unbeatable force across the starry sky. Even now, the Daoye Palace endures because no one can conquer him."
A furious roar shattered the heavy tension in that moment.
"End this nonsense! You wretched Abyssal God! What are your real motives?!"
Errol was the one who uttered those words. He leaped up from the dragon section, his face flushed with fury and supreme arrogance.
Yet the moment his voice rang out, the whole stadium plunged into a stifling, deathly hush.
Bzzt! Whrmm!
Reality warped savagely. Within the blink of an eye, Errol found himself yanked right before the Abyssal God and Tian Yuan.
Before a soul could react, the Abyssal God lifted his foot nonchalantly and smashed it onto Errol’s face without a hint of emotion.
"Arghhh!"
Errol wailed in utter, degrading torment as his skull fractured. That effortless stomp carried not just physical force but layers of profound conceptual might that pulverized all in its way.
----
From their secure VIP room, Alissa, Miwa, and Juli observed the live broadcast, their faces etched with deep bewilderment.
Juli and Alissa witnessed the savage display with conflicting feelings. Errol struck them as a haughty foe who had boldly insulted Grey. Thus, they harbored zero sympathy as his arrogance crumbled into the dust.
Still, the attacker was a far more monstrous presence.
"You! Cease this at once!" The Dragon Patriarch surged from his golden throne, his weathered features contorted in wrathful murder.
"Do you want to die too?" the Abyssal God questioned, swiveling his glacial gaze onto the Patriarch.
Rage warped the Patriarch’s face. But before he could commit some reckless act like offering his throat to Azathoth, Tian Yuan clapped his palms lightly. At once, an unseen, oppressive power hurled the Patriarch back into his seat, clamping his jaws sealed.
"Oh?" Azathoth cocked his head with faint curiosity. "Why the effort to shield these oversized reptiles, Tian Yuan? Experimenting on them, are you?"
"That's not your business, #####," Tian Yuan replied icily, reality itself brutally blanking out his pronunciation of the true name. "I suggest you depart now. Breaking this Null Zone won't take me much time."
"Relax. Didn't I mention I'm only here for the tournament? It'll end soon, and I'll go."
"Come on, Grey Lockhart. Speak up. You've been lounging there like it's some trivial drama show for too long." Azathoth gradually shifted his focus to the Arclight VIP section, a sly, wicked smile spreading over his features.
As the Abyssal God turned his stare, every gaze in the stadium tracked it. Billions of eyes locked onto the youth seated calmly, surveying the nightmarish scene with total impassivity.
"Huh?" The crowd collectively stiffened.
Anderson and Angela went ghostly pale upon seeing the dread Abyssal God fixate straight on Grey.
The Emperors, Arclight family members, Grand Arbiter, Jeremiah, Jason, and the three girls on the screens all gawked at Grey in raw, utter astonishment.
For one torturous instant, all held their breath in total incredulity.
"Me?" Grey jabbed a finger at his chest, mimicking a utterly perplexed feline. "I think you've got the wrong person. I'm Grey Arclight."
"?" Azathoth blinked at the brazen denial. Grasping the sheer ridiculousness, he pivoted slowly to Tian Yuan.
"Is this fool really pretending to be feeble? Last time he stormed the Abyss, he wiped out at least five planets for good."
"But isn't he feeble?" Tian Yuan shot back with scorn. "He couldn't fend off that worthless dragon under your boot from earlier today."
"G-Grey?" Angela couldn't stop herself from calling to her son, who had risen smoothly from his chair.
All eyes bored into Grey. To cosmic observers, he appeared merely as a mundane, untalented seventeen-year-old human mired at the pitiful 4th Rank. The Lost Heir—the youth scorned covertly or overtly since landing on the Origin Planet.
"I'm positive you've mistaken me for someone else," Grey batted his eyes innocently.
The Abyssal God just laughed off the obvious falsehood. Seizing the signal, a young Abyssal fighter on the arena erupted with his shadowy aura.
Origin Manifestation, 11th Level!
With zero notice, the fearsome Abyssal talent soared upward, targeting a fatal blow at Grey’s neck.
"Grey, careful!" Angela shrieked in panic, lunging desperately to shield him.
Yet just as she stirred, Grey scoffed at the approaching foe.
Boom!
A horrifying, choking aura exploded from Grey’s form. The pure, unchecked force surged from 4th Rank, blasting beyond 5th Rank in a split second, utterly dominating the whole Origin Manifestation realm!
The space itself wailed as a sea of dense silver-purple energy surged through the stadium. Astonishingly, against all cosmic principles, his fundamental life tier stayed locked at 4th Rank!
"W-What is this?!" Uncle David’s mouth fell agape in total shock. "Such monstrous strength... how does a simple 4th Ranker wield this level of sheer might?!"
The 11th-level Abyssal attacker never neared the balcony. Grey’s aura’s immense conceptual pressure struck the prodigy like a plummeting star, smashing him nose-first into the arena ground. The Abyssal star was flattened instantly, immobilized under the crushing force, not even twitching a digit.
"Why drag me into your mess, you two?" Grey heaved a deep sigh.
To the utter dread and stupefaction of all onlookers, Grey strode ahead casually, treading the void just as Tian Yuan had. He disregarded the God Relic’s Null Zone suppression entirely.
"I'm just here reuniting with my folks after ages. Can't you take your petty power play elsewhere?" Grey continued, locking eyes with the universe's deadliest duo.
"#####, you just had to show up and wreck my break."
"!!!!!?"
The stadium, Emperors, his smug siblings, the idols, the dragons, and even his parents saw their thoughts implode. The 'frail' Lost Heir had effortlessly crushed an elite Abyssal talent, defied a God Relic, and boldly swore at the Abyssal God to his face!
....And even uttered his name.
