Kyrian observes the bustling square before the Sky Tower, where cultivators and merchants gather. He reflects on possibly seeing Gao Ziyue for the last time before his departure. Elder Lio Han approaches Kyrian, informing him that the pills he left for auction have sold for a significant profit. Kyrian also remembers leaving formation plates and plans to retrieve them later. Lio Han asks about Kyrian's interest in the grand auction, and Kyrian confirms his interest in a comprehension artifact. As a massive auction stage rises from the ground, the crowd anticipates the appearance of the Heavenly Heiress, Gao Ziyue, but an elderly steward of the Sky Family appears instead, causing confusion.

The questions began to multiply, a chorus of speculation. The elderly woman remained motionless, her expression calm. Then she slowly raised one of her hands, placing her index finger in front of her lips. She did not need to say anything.

The next instant, a terrifying pressure descended upon the square.

’BOOM!’ An invisible wave spread out, the wind exploding in all directions. Everyone’s clothes began to sway violently, and some weaker cultivators paled. The voices disappeared, and the entire square fell silent. Tens of thousands of people remained completely motionless.

Kyrian narrowed his eyes, feeling the pressure on his shoulders.

’What powerful pressure.’ It was different from anything he had felt before, it was not aggressive, but it was absolute, a presence that allowed no opposition.

But, just as it had appeared, his eyes quickly nullified the pressure.

Sun Luguo, however, let out a low laugh.

"Looks like that old woman has become even stronger."

Lio Han looked at him, surprised.

"You can still laugh?"

"Why not?" Sun Luguo crossed his arms.

"I’ve known that woman for many years."

Kyrian continued observing the elderly woman, his attention completely focused on her. She then removed her finger from her lips, her voice finally echoing across the square.

"I am the steward of the Sky Family."

Her voice was not particularly loud, but everyone could hear her perfectly.

"As many of you have already realized, the Heavenly Heiress will not preside over the final auction."

Some people began murmuring again, but the pressure still lingering in the air caused their voices to be muffled.

The woman continued, her voice calm.

"The young miss has entered closed-door seclusion to advance her cultivation."

The information caused a small commotion, whispers of surprise spreading.

"Seclusion?"

"So she’s trying to advance?"

"Now?"

"Does that mean she probably won’t appear today?"

Kyrian remained silent, processing the information. So Gao Ziyue really would not appear. He hoped she would succeed in breaking through, the barrier that restrained her had loosened, and perhaps that seclusion was the opportunity she needed.

The elderly woman continued, her voice maintaining its calm tone.

"For this reason, I have been entrusted with presiding over the final event of the Heavenly Descent Festival."

She paused briefly, her eyes sweeping across the crowd.

"Now I will explain the rules."

The woman raised one of her hands, and, in the next instant, thousands of points of light appeared above the square.

’Whoosh!’ Small jade plates appeared, one for each person. They hovered for a moment before slowly descending, each finding its intended recipient.

One of them stopped in front of Kyrian. He extended his hand and grasped the plate, it was completely simple, without any special symbol, number, or name.

The elderly woman explained, her voice carrying authority.

"These plates will be used to place bids."

"You will not need to speak. You will not need to raise your hand either. When you wish to offer a certain amount of spirit stones, simply send your thoughts to the plate."

Kyrian looked at the object. Interesting.

The woman continued.

"The bid will be recorded immediately. But no one will know how much the others are offering."

This provoked a stronger reaction, voices rising in surprise.

"We won’t know the others’ bids?"

"Then how will we know how much to offer?"

"This is completely different from the other auctions."

The elderly woman remained indifferent.

"Exactly."

She explained.

"Each item will remain available for bidding for five minutes. During those five minutes, you may increase your own bids as many times as you wish. The moment the five minutes end, the item will belong to the person whose plate has recorded the highest bid."

The square fell silent again. Now everyone understood there would be no open bidding, no one would be shouting amounts, and no one would immediately raise the bid after hearing someone else’s amount. Each person would have to decide for themselves how much they were willing to pay.

Without knowing who was winning, without knowing whether their offer was enough, without knowing whether, at that exact moment, someone else had just offered ten thousand more spirit stones. It was a true blind competition.

A man in the crowd murmured.

"This means that if I really want something, I’ll have to offer much more than I think the others would."

"Or you could waste spirit stones."

"Exactly."

"So you need courage."

"No. You need a lot of money."

Some laughter arose from the crowd, but the tension remained palpable.

The elderly woman waited until the voices died down.

"The items presented in this auction were gathered from the four great auctions held during the Heavenly Descent Festival. Some of them are treasures you have already heard of. Others have never been seen by the outside world."

The expressions of several cultivators changed, greed shining in their eyes.

The final grand auction had finally begun.

The woman raised her hand again, and the runes on the enormous circular stage began to glow.

"There will be no unnecessary intervals. When an item is sold, the next one will be presented immediately. If you are interested, place your bids. If you are not, watch."

She looked at the crowd, her voice becoming slightly deeper.

"But remember, you will have only five minutes to decide."

Kyrian held the jade plate between his fingers, feeling its cold surface. His violet eyes swept across the stage, his mind working. He was not particularly interested in treasures, no matter how rare they were, nor did he want to waste his spirit stones without reason. But there was one thing that had awakened his curiosity, the comprehension artifact mentioned by the elder from the competition.

If it really was as useful as the silver blindfolds, perhaps it would be worth spending a large amount of spirit stones. Kyrian still did not know how much he was willing to pay, he would first need to see the artifact.

Beside him, Sun Luguo watched the stage with his arms crossed.

"Prepare yourself."

Kyrian looked at him.

"For what?"

"To spend money."

Kyrian remained silent, and Lio Han began to laugh.

"He’ll probably spend more than you imagine."

Sun Luguo looked at Kyrian.

"You really have that much money?"

Kyrian replied calmly.

"I have some spirit stones."

"Some?" Sun Luguo looked at Lio Han.

"This kid says ’some’ when he’s probably carrying a fortune."

Lio Han laughed again, but Kyrian simply ignored the two of them, his attention completely focused on the stage.

The steward of the Sky Family walked a few steps, and behind her, a structure began to slowly rise. A circular table with several ancient symbols engraved on its surface. A dark cloth-covered object was placed upon it.

The crowd immediately fell silent, everyone knowing what this meant.

The first item would be presented.

The steward stood before the table, her hand extended.

"This is the first item of the final grand auction."

She grasped the edge of the cloth.

And then pulled.

The cloth fell, and an object appeared before everyone’s eyes. Tens of thousands of people held their breath at the same time.

Kyrian also narrowed his eyes.

Finally. The grand auction had begun.
