Participants in an arena test begin to break free from a mental seal, regaining partial control over their bodies and senses. While some focus on their Qi and inner essence, Kyrian delves deeper, seeking to understand the true nature of lightning by recalling past experiences and grasping its underlying principles, eventually causing a spark to appear around him.

In the stands, the spectators also began to notice the changes, whispers spreading through the crowd.

"Have three hours already passed?"

"Yes."

"Then only one hour remains?"

"Exactly."

"But no one has completely broken the seal yet."

"Not even one?"

"None."

A man frowned.

"This is much harder than I imagined."

A cultivator sitting beside him replied:

"Of course it’s difficult. Do you think they would create a simple test to decide who receives a Secret Technique?"

"But some have already managed to recover their movements."

"Recovering part of the body doesn’t mean breaking the seal."

"Then who will succeed?"

No one answered immediately, their gazes sweeping across the arena. Some participants were sitting, others were still standing, several showing signs of extreme exertion.

The young man in gray robes, who had managed to partially recover his hearing, was sitting cross-legged, his Qi slowly escaping his body and forming a thin gray mist around him.

The black-haired woman had small streams of light-blue Qi wrapping around her arms. Another participant, a burly man, possessed a red energy that occasionally exploded outward from his body. None of them had broken the seal, but all of them were making progress.

"Perhaps that young man can do it."

"Which one?"

"The one in gray robes."

"I don’t think so."

"Then who?"

"Kyrian."

"Again him?"

"He finished all the previous tests first."

"But this is the final."

"So what?"

"He’s too young."

The discussion began to grow again, voices rising in speculation.

"Experience should matter."

"But comprehension doesn’t depend solely on age."

"You’re forgetting that there are cultivators who have spent decades studying their paths."

"And yet none of them have broken it."

"Maybe we need to wait."

That was exactly it: wait.

Kyrian continued immersed in his own comprehension. Another fifteen minutes had passed, and the lightning intent around him became increasingly intense.

’Crack!’ A small discharge traveled along his arm, then another.

’Crack! Crack!’ The lightning began appearing more frequently, not because Kyrian was trying to release his energy, but because his comprehension was growing so rapidly that his Qi was beginning to respond spontaneously.

Lightning danced around his body, small sparks traveling across his shoulders, an electric current passing around his waist and disappearing, another appearing near his feet.

Kyrian continued standing, his figure a beacon of electric light amid the arena. Around him, however, many participants were already sitting, some completely covered by their own Qi. The young man in gray robes had a layer of energy enveloping his entire body, his liquid nature causing the mist to move slowly.

The black-haired woman trembled slightly, her Qi beginning to escape uncontrollably, small waves of energy emerging from her meridians and disappearing into the air.

A man near the center of the arena was in an even more obvious situation, his red Qi continuously exploding.

’Boom!’ A small explosion appeared around his body, and he immediately tried to control it.

’Boom!’ Another explosion, his face turning red.

"Control..." He tried to concentrate, but the more anxious he became, the harder it was to control the energy. The Qi began escaping through his pores like an uncontrolled flame.

Another participant had golden Qi flowing from his body in small streams, having regained movement in both arms but seeming unable to completely control his energy.

The scene was impressive, forty-five people facing the same seal, yet each having a completely different experience.

"Only thirty minutes remain!" The voice of a spectator echoed from the stands, and the information quickly spread.

"Thirty minutes?"

"Already?"

"And no one has succeeded yet!"

"Will no one really break it?"

"That would be impossible."

"Then who will it be?"

"I have no idea."

"Look at them!"

The crowd’s attention returned to the competitors, most of them now pushing their energies to the limit, having realized that time was running out. They could no longer progress slowly; they needed to try.

One participant sent an enormous amount of Qi toward his blindfold.

The blindfold trembled, and a small crack appeared on its surface.

"It’s cracking!" Someone in the stands shouted, and several people immediately looked in that direction.

The competitor noticed the change and began sending even more Qi, his intent also exploding.

’Crack!’ Another crack appeared, and he clenched his teeth.

"More!" His Qi became even more violent, and the blindfold continued trembling. For a few seconds, it seemed that he would be the first.

But then... The structure stabilized, and the crack stopped growing.

The man became completely motionless.

"No..." He had gotten close, very close, but it still wasn’t enough.

Another participant began showing similar cracks, then another. Before long, several blindfolds were displaying small fissures, and the stands erupted into an uproar.

"It’s started now!"

"Look at that blindfold!"

"It’s almost broken!"

"Who will be the first?"

"Maybe him!"

"No! Look at that other one!"

"Everyone is almost tied!"

It was impossible to say who would win; the competition had reached its most intense moment.

Fifteen minutes. That was the time remaining. Almost all the participants were now using their strength to the fullest, Qi surging throughout the arena. Some people were trembling, others were sweating, and some blindfolds had deep cracks. But no one had managed to destroy them.

Kyrian remained different. He had not tried to break the seal during that period, his attention completely focused on the lightning.

Then.

’Crack.’ Lightning appeared around his body. Then, another.

’Crack!’ This time, the discharge was larger, the energy traveling through his arms, crossing his shoulders, and disappearing above his head.

Kyrian remained motionless, his mind completely silent. He had finally comprehended something. It wasn’t the aura, not yet, but he was close. Extremely close. That proximity alone was enough to cause a terrifying change in his comprehension.

Then.

’BOOOOM!’ An intense sound exploded throughout the arena, and all the participants trembled.

The spectators raised their heads, and a bolt of lightning seemed to have emerged from the very sky, a massive column of electricity descending toward the center of the arena.

"AH!"

"Lightning?!"

"How?!"

"The sky is completely clear!"

"Where did that come from?!"

The people rose from the stands, some cultivators even instinctively assuming defensive positions. But the lightning had not come from the sky; it had emerged from Kyrian. The electric energy burst from his body and violently surged toward the open ceiling of the arena, forming a column of light that illuminated the entire space.

’Crack! Crack! Crack!’

Lightning danced around Kyrian, a spectacle of light and power that hypnotized the crowd.

Then everything became silent, and Kyrian finally opened his eyes. His violet eyes shone with an inner light, a spark of comprehension that he had never experienced before.

’I believe that’s enough.’
