Kyrian continued to deepen his understanding of lightning, perceiving its dual nature. He experimented with his Qi, communicating its essence to the seal on his blindfold, causing new cracks to appear. Other participants struggled with the silence and darkness, some panicking while others found fleeting glimmers of hope. Kyrian remained focused, realizing that lightning intent stemmed from comprehension, creating a virtuous cycle. After two hours, Kyrian felt a profound change and allowed his lightning intent to circulate, causing the seal to react violently. He could feel he was close to breaking it, but a final piece was missing: the connection between energy, path, and intent. Meanwhile, other competitors also showed signs of progress, but no one had yet completely broken the seal, leaving spectators to speculate about who would be first.

Another hour had passed, and the atmosphere inside the arena had changed completely.

At the beginning of the test, the forty-five participants had remained motionless, each trying to understand the strange seal that held them captive, their minds immersed in absolute silence. Now, however, some changes were clearly visible, small cracks in the wall of immobility that had dominated the arena.

A young man with brown hair, who until not long ago had remained completely motionless, finally managed to move his right hand, his fingers trembling with the effort.

It was only a small movement, almost insignificant to an outside observer, but to him it represented an enormous breakthrough, a victory over the silence that had imprisoned him.

"I did it..." His voice came out hoarse, a whisper that could barely reach his own ears.

He had regained part of the control over his own body, a crack of light amid the darkness. It was not enough to break the seal, but it meant that his comprehension had reached a new level, that his mind had found a path through the barrier. The young man immediately closed his eyes and began to concentrate again, determined to expand that small victory.

On the other side of the arena, a woman with black hair also showed a change, her left arm moving a few centimeters. She had regained part of her sense of touch and, at the same time, could vaguely feel the existence of her own muscles, an awareness that had previously been completely absent.

She could not completely control her body, but she was no longer completely imprisoned, her mind finding cracks in the seal’s armor.

Another man managed to regain his hearing, his ears once again catching the distant sounds of the stands, although everything seemed muffled and distant, as if he were inside a deep cave.

"Finally..." The man almost smiled, a spark of hope in his eyes.

However, instead of trying to stand up, he remained seated, focusing all his attention on his own Qi.

He knew that this small breakthrough did not mean that he had won; it was only the beginning. Some of the participants who had regained part of their movements did the same thing, sitting directly on the ground.

Unable to rely on their senses, they realized that remaining standing offered them no advantage. The true battlefield was within their own minds.

Thus, several competitors began cultivating in silence, not to increase their strength, but to understand their energy.

The Qi began to circulate slowly through their bodies. Some possessed Qi similar to mist, ethereal and diffuse; others had a heavy, almost solid nature. There was extremely sharp Qi, Qi as hot as fire, Qi as cold as ice, and even energies that seemed to possess a quality similar to wood or water.

Each person began exploring what they possessed, diving into the depths of their own essence.

The test did not require them to be stronger; it required them to understand themselves. And this task was far more difficult than simply fighting.

Kyrian remained different from everyone else. Ever since he had discovered that his lightning intent could affect the seal, he had stopped trying to break it repeatedly, realizing that each attempt revealed something new.

But if he continued simply sending Qi and intent against the blindfold, his growth would be limited. Kyrian wanted to understand more, much more.

He completely closed his eyes, and the darkness became absolute. Even though he could see through the blindfold, he decided to abandon that advantage, as he could not rely on his eyes in this test. He had to understand lightning by himself, through his own essence.

His mind sank deeply, and the Qi began to circulate, a small electric current traveling through his meridians. Then another, and another. Kyrian mentally observed every movement, every pulse of energy. Lightning was not merely a manifestation of energy; it was a force, a path, a nature.

He began to recall something that had happened previously, the battle against the lava lizard. At that moment, Kyrian had been facing a life-or-death situation, his body surrounded by extreme heat, his life threatened every second.

He did not understand what aura was or know how it worked, nor did he even know that what he was feeling could be called aura. But, in that extreme moment, his mind had surpassed a barrier, and he had comprehended the aura of ice.

Not because he possessed an explanation, not because someone had taught him, but because he had been placed in a situation where he needed to comprehend or die.

At the time, it had seemed like a miracle. Now, however, Kyrian began to realize something different: he had already comprehended the aura of ice. Later, he had comprehended the aura of fire. And now he was trying to comprehend lightning. This meant that his previous experience could serve as a bridge.

He already knew the sensation of touching the essence of a path and already knew what it felt like to surpass the superficial comprehension of an affinity and truly feel its nature.

So, instead of searching only for the Qi of lightning, he began searching for the essence hidden behind it. What was lightning really? Speed? Destruction? Explosion? Precision? Kyrian realized that all of those answers were correct, but none of them were complete.

Lightning could be extremely fast, but speed without direction was merely chaos. It could possess a terrifying destructive force, but an uncontrolled discharge had no precision. It could be explosive, but it could also concentrate all its strength into a single point. There was order within the chaos, a structure hidden within the violence, a sequence, and a connection.

Kyrian began to realize that lightning did not simply appear; it accumulated. Tension increased, energy found a direction, and then it exploded. The comprehension slowly appeared in his mind, not as information, but as a sensation. As if a door had been opened only a few centimeters.

Kyrian remained motionless, his Qi continuing to circulate. His lightning intent became clearer, sharper, and deeper. And then something happened, a small spark appeared around his body.

’Crack!’ The spark disappeared immediately, but Kyrian did not move. He simply continued comprehending.
