Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation Chapter 535: Lightning Vs Metal (4)

The saber in his hand vibrated intensely.
As a peak-grade spiritual weapon, it could perfectly withstand such an absurd amount of Qi. The blade, forged from rare metals and infused with ancient runes, not only resisted the lightning energy, it absorbed and amplified it.
More than that... The weapon itself amplified the lightning.
Invisible runes engraved within it began to glow faintly, revealing themselves beneath the surface of the metal. They were intricate patterns, designs that Kyrian barely understood, yet they functioned in perfect harmony with his Qi.
The Qi became even purer. Even more destructive.
A terrifying pressure spread from the blade, so intense that even the spectators seated in the highest stands could feel it. It was different from Bao Ren’s pressure. While Metal Qi cut and pierced, Lightning Qi burned and electrocuted.
The spectators felt their hearts race.
"The saber..." a man murmured, his eyes fixed on the radiant weapon.
"It’s amplifying the Qi. That looks like a peak-grade spiritual weapon!" another exclaimed.
"What an incredible weapon..." a third added, shaking his head in admiration.
Bao Ren’s eyes widened slightly as he witnessed Kyrian’s transformation. The intensity of that Lightning Qi was astonishing, especially considering that the young man had deliberately lowered his cultivation.
Even so...
He could no longer retreat.
All of his Qi had already been poured into this technique. The spiritual projection of the axe was complete, hovering above him like a golden god of war. Retreating now would not only waste all of that energy but also cause Qi backlash, an excruciating pain that could permanently damage his meridians.
He took a deep breath.
The veins bulged across his arms, as thick as ropes beneath his skin. His muscles tightened, preparing for their greatest exertion. The energy within his body reached its peak, and his entire being focused on a single objective.
Then he roared with all his might.
"Mountain-Splitting Axe!"
The ground exploded beneath his feet.
Fragments of stone shot in every direction like shattered glass. The shockwave was so violent that it created a shallow crater where Bao Ren had been standing.
His body shot forward like a projectile.
The enormous golden axe descended from the heavens toward Kyrian, carrying with it a pressure capable of crushing stone.
The wind itself was split apart.
The arena itself seemed to tremble, its stone walls vibrating beneath the force of the technique. The protective formations surrounding the arena shone brilliantly, activating automatically to contain the power of the attack.
Kyrian felt the wind against his face. He felt the crushing pressure. He felt death drawing near. And he remained motionless.
Kyrian did not move immediately.
The instant the axe began to descend...
His eyes were pushed to their absolute limit. The world slowed down for him.
The dust particles dancing in the air appeared motionless, suspended within a frozen eternity. Every spark of Metal Qi became perfectly visible, shining like stars in a golden galaxy.
Bao Ren’s muscles, tensed to their utmost limit, were visible in every detail. The trajectory of the blade. The vibrations within the technique...
Everything appeared before him with absolute clarity.
His mind analyzed thousands of details in less than a second.
The structure of the spiritual projection. The points where the energy converged. The areas where the technique was strongest. And, most importantly, the areas where it was weakest.
Then... his eyes found something.
A tiny imperfection.
At the center of the golden projection, where every stream of energy converged before spreading back through the technique, there was an incredibly small point where the circulation was slightly misaligned.
It was like a single stone placed incorrectly within a perfect arch, small enough to go unnoticed, yet crucial to the stability of the entire structure.
It was tiny. Practically impossible to notice. But it was there.
Kyrian smiled faintly.
’Found it.’
His right foot slid half a step forward.
The movement was subtle, almost imperceptible. It was neither a retreat nor a complete dodge. It was merely the slightest adjustment in position, just enough to alter the angle of his defense.
His body turned smoothly. The saber descended.
There was no exaggerated movement. No dramatic accumulation of Qi, nor any battle cry. It didn’t even appear to be a powerful strike.
It was simply... perfectly precise.
The saber’s blade struck the weak point of Bao Ren’s technique with the accuracy of a needle threading a strand of silk. Violet lightning gathered at the tip of the blade, piercing the imperfection like a spear of light.
The very next instant...
The two weapons collided.
The metallic clash exploded throughout the arena.
It was so deafening that many spectators immediately covered their ears, their faces twisting in pain. Some of the weaker cultivators even staggered backward, their balance disrupted by the shockwave.
A shockwave swept across the entire arena.
The energy unleashed by the impact was so violent that the protective formations shone at maximum intensity, nearly reaching their limit. Fierce gusts of wind scattered dust in every direction, creating a storm that obscured everyone’s vision.
Violet lightning intertwined with the golden radiance of metal.
Hundreds of sparks illuminated the battlefield, painting the air with colors that danced in chaotic patterns. The energies collided, struggled, each trying to overwhelm the other in a microscopic battle unfolding beyond ordinary perception.
For one brief instant...
No one could see anything at all.
Only light, wind, and lightning.
And the deafening roar of the collision between the two techniques.
The silence that followed was even more deafening than the impact itself.
A few seconds later...
The dust slowly began to settle.
Particles of pulverized stone drifted through the air like golden snow, reflecting the light of the setting sun. The first silhouettes became visible through the haze, dark figures gradually emerging from the storm.
Absolute silence enveloped the arena.
Everyone watched without breathing, their eyes fixed on the scene slowly revealing itself. Even the betting merchants had stopped shouting, their voices caught in their throats.
Then...
The outcome became clear.
Kyrian was still standing exactly where he had been.
