Kyrian considered several weapons before ultimately choosing a saber, a weapon unlike any he had used before. His master, Sun Luguo, explained the saber's unique properties, forged with Deep Thunder Steel and Earth Conduction Crystal, making it ideal for lightning cultivation. Kyrian then requested saber techniques from his master, who, surprised by Kyrian's desire to learn a new weapon from scratch, provided him with a basic manual.

"Master."

Sun Luguo followed his gaze, noticing Kyrian’s interest in the weapon.

"Why does that sword seem different from the others?" Kyrian asked, his eyes fixed on the motionless blade.

"It’s still a Peak Spiritual Weapon... but it gives off a completely different feeling. There’s something about it that I can’t identify."

"Oh."

A satisfied smile appeared on the old man’s face. His eyes shone with pride.

"You noticed."

"That’s good." He walked over to the straight sword and carefully lifted it from its stand.

"Most customers don’t notice the difference. They see only a sword, beautiful, well-crafted, but nothing special. But you felt something."

He raised it in front of them, the blade gleaming beneath the light.

"This sword has an ability."

Kyrian immediately focused his attention, his eyes locking onto the weapon.

"An ability?" he repeated, his voice filled with interest.

Sun Luguo nodded, his eyes fixed on the blade.

"Whoever wields it can concentrate a great amount of Qi and release a powerful bolt of lightning in a straight line. It isn’t a technique that requires years of training. It’s an ability built into the weapon itself."

He paused, allowing his words to sink in.

"It’s practically a battle technique. But without needing to comprehend the technique. Without needing to train it for years. You only need to provide enough Qi, and the sword will do the rest."

Kyrian’s eyes lit up with understanding. He had never considered that a weapon could possess such a capability.

Sun Luguo continued, his voice taking on a more instructive tone.

"Weapons, armor... even artifacts can possess abilities. It is one of the most advanced levels of blacksmithing. But embedding a technique into a piece of equipment is absurdly difficult." He slowly shook his head.

"It requires experience, control, and forging knowledge far beyond the ordinary. A blacksmith must not only understand the metal but also fully comprehend the technique they wish to embed. They must create runes that capture the essence of the technique and structure the metal to conduct energy in a specific way."

He let out a soft, humorless chuckle.

"Even I haven’t completely mastered that field. I’ve had successes, yes, but also many failures. If you compare all the weapons I’ve forged throughout my life, those with abilities make up perhaps ten percent."

His eyes turned back to the sword.

"Of course... those ten percent were sold for absurd prices. Only truly important people in the Sky Caravan could afford them, and even then, they competed fiercely for every single one."

Kyrian observed the sword carefully, his violet eyes examining every detail. His interest in blacksmithing grew with every word.

’So this is another possible path...’

A weapon capable of granting techniques. It was an extraordinary concept, a true trump card for any cultivator. Someone with little experience could execute advanced-level attacks simply by wielding the right weapon.

The possibility was fascinating. Without realizing it, Kyrian immediately asked,

"Will you teach me how to forge weapons like this?"

Sun Luguo laughed heartily, his booming laughter echoing throughout the shop.

"Hahaha!"

"Of course I will." His eyes shone with pride.

"But first..."

He pointed a finger at Kyrian, his tone becoming more serious.

"Learn to forge ordinary weapons perfectly. Master the fundamentals, understand the metal, and feel the flow of Qi through the forge. Only then will I teach you my method of creating weapons with abilities. It’s a complex process that requires a solid foundation. Without the fundamentals, you’ll only produce failures."

He turned toward the heavy iron door, his footsteps echoing across the stone floor.

"Come." His voice was firm, filled with anticipation.

"The forge is already prepared. It’s time to begin your first lesson."

Kyrian cast one final glance at the dozens of weapons displayed throughout the shop.

Each one was a work of art, a testament to his master’s talent and dedication.

Then, he carefully stored the saber inside his spatial ring, along with the technique manual.

Without the slightest hesitation, he followed his master into the forge.

The iron door closed behind them, and the light of the shop was replaced by the crimson glow of spiritual flames.

The moment he stepped through the heavy iron door, a wave of heat struck Kyrian’s face.

The air was completely different from that of the shop.

There was none of the gentle scent of polished wood or carefully preserved metal. Instead, the atmosphere was filled with the intense smell of heated ore, spiritual coal, and freshly forged steel.

The heat caused the air to ripple before his eyes, creating slight distortions that gave the workshop an almost unreal appearance.

The space was enormous.

Far larger than Kyrian had imagined could exist behind such an ordinary shop.

Several spiritual furnaces burned brightly, each fueled by flames of different colors. Some blazed with an intense crimson, others glowed with a deep orange, while one burned with a profound blue, emitting such an incredible temperature that even the stone surrounding it showed signs of vitrification.

Anvils of various sizes were spread throughout the hall, each accompanied by hammers specifically designed for different stages of the forging process.

Shelves occupied nearly the entire side wall, filled with metal ingots, rare ores, spiritual crystals, and small bottles containing shimmering powders used during the refinement of materials.

Numerous unfinished weapons rested upon stone workbenches.

Some were still nothing more than partially shaped blocks of metal.

Others had already taken form, waiting only for their final refinement and the engraving of spiritual inscriptions.

Kyrian could feel the Qi emanating from those materials.

It was raw Qi. Heavy. Filled with potential.

Sun Luguo walked toward the largest furnace in the workshop with calm, steady steps, like someone returning to the place where he had spent almost his entire life.

His eyes swept across every tool with an almost imperceptible glimmer of nostalgia.

Then he turned to Kyrian. A broad smile spread across his face.

"Welcome."

His voice echoed throughout the entire workshop.

"This is the true heart of my shop."

He slowly rested one hand upon the enormous black anvil beside the furnace.

It was there that thousands of weapons had been born. It was there that his name had spread throughout the Sky Caravan.

And from that day onward... it would also be the place where Kyrian would take his very first steps on the path of blacksmithing.
