Kyrian tested four different weapons, a longsword, a spear, a saber, and a straight sword. Each weapon reacted uniquely to his Lightning Qi, amplifying, conducting, or concentrating his energy in different ways. He felt the potential of each weapon but hesitated to make a final choice.

His eyes remained fixed on the weapon.

It seemed... different. Not necessarily more powerful than the others, nor superior in terms of amplification or conduction. But there was something about it that he couldn’t explain.

It was as if it concealed some characteristic he had yet to understand, a depth that went beyond what his eyes could see.

He held it for a few moments, feeling the flow of Qi through the blade. The sensation was excellent, natural, comfortable, almost intimate.

He almost decided to choose it.

However... after thinking for a moment, he slowly shook his head.

’No.’

He had used swords for a good part of his life already. The longsword, and the straight sword, they were all variations of the same concept, the same basic form. He knew that weapon. He knew how to use it.

He had also learned to use spears during his training as a child. The spear was different, requiring a distinct approach, but it was still a weapon he had already mastered.

If he kept choosing only what he already knew, his growth would be limited. He needed to experiment, to learn new things, to broaden his horizons.

His gaze naturally returned to the saber.

’This is the one.’

The decision was clear, without hesitation. The saber was unlike anything he had used before, more aggressive, more direct, and more brutal. It was a weapon that demanded a different mindset, a different approach.

Without hesitation, he placed the straight sword back onto its stand. His fingers left the hilt with a sense of respect, as though saying farewell to an old friend.

Then he picked up the saber and carried it to the table. Its weight was comfortable, its balance perfect. The curved blade gleamed beneath the light, its silver veins shimmering like distant stars.

At that moment... the heavy iron door at the back of the shop opened once again.

The sound of the creaking hinges echoed through the silent room. Sun Luguo emerged carrying several pieces of spiritual ore in his arms, each glowing with its own light.

As soon as he saw Kyrian holding a weapon, a broad smile spread across his face.

"So, you’ve made your choice?"

Kyrian nodded, his voice calm.

"Yes."

He raised the saber for his master to inspect. The blade caught the light, shining with a deep, dark luster.

Sun Luguo’s eyes gleamed faintly as he recognized the choice.

"Good choice."

He walked over, placing the ores onto a nearby table before carefully taking the weapon. His large, calloused hands held the saber with the delicacy of someone who understood every detail of its construction.

"This saber was forged using Deep Thunder Steel mixed with small amounts of Earth Conduction Crystal." He slowly ran his hand along the blade, feeling its texture.

"Thunder Steel is a rare material, found only in regions where spiritual storms occur regularly. The metal absorbs the energy of natural lightning, making it naturally conductive."

His fingers traced the outline of the blade.

"The Earth Conduction Crystal was added to improve the flow of Qi. Without it, the conduction would be good, but not exceptional. With it, the saber becomes an almost perfect channel for electrical energy."

He lifted the weapon, examining it against the light.

"It is extremely resistant to electricity. You can pour enormous amounts of lightning Qi into it without damaging its structure. Many weapons cannot withstand the constant flow of electrical energy. Over time, the metal deteriorates and the runes wear down. This saber was designed specifically to avoid that problem."

He returned the weapon to Kyrian, a proud smile on his lips.

"On top of that, its spiritual conduction is among the finest I’ve ever forged. For someone cultivating the Path of Lightning, it will be an excellent companion. A weapon that will grow alongside you and adapt to your development."

Kyrian nodded, taking hold of the saber once more.

As he looked at the blade, another thought surfaced in his mind.

’Now I need to learn how to use it.’

With the Mirrored Third Eye fully consolidated, it would be a waste to keep fighting with nothing but basic strikes. He possessed a powerful cultivation technique, but he needed combat techniques to match it.

He raised his eyes to meet his master’s.

"Master."

"Hm?" Sun Luguo replied, curiosity in his eyes.

"Do you have any saber techniques?"

Sun Luguo blinked several times, surprised by the question.

"You don’t?" Genuine surprise filled his expression.

"I assumed you chose a saber because it was your primary weapon. Most people choose weapons they already know."

Kyrian answered calmly, without the slightest hesitation.

"I used swords and spears." He paused briefly, his eyes fixed on the saber.

"But I want to learn how to fight with a saber."

"Hahaha!"

Sun Luguo burst into laughter, his voice echoing throughout the shop.

"So you just decided to learn another weapon?" He shook his head, still laughing.

"Out of nowhere, without any experience, without any training?"

"Yes," Kyrian replied, as though it were the most natural answer in the world.

The old man simply shook his head, an amused smile on his lips.

"What a strange brat..." he muttered, though there was pride in his voice.

"You really do like challenges, don’t you?"

Still smiling, Sun Luguo reached into his spatial ring. His fingers searched through the stored items for a few moments.

A moment later, he took out a small manual with a brown cover. The pages had yellowed slightly with age, and the edges were worn from use. The title, written in ancient characters, had nearly faded away.

"It’s the only saber technique I have." He handed the manual to Kyrian.

"To be honest, it’s not even a powerful technique. It’s just a basic manual, something I used to teach a few beginners in the past. There are no profound secrets, no devastating attacks."

He paused, his expression becoming more serious.

"After all, I fight using hammers. My specialty is blacksmithing, not saber combat. But I believe it will be enough for you to learn the fundamentals. The basic movements, the proper stance, the correct way to guide Qi through the blade."

Kyrian accepted the book with both hands, a gesture of respect.

"Thank you."

He immediately stored the manual inside his spatial ring, together with the saber. He would study its contents later, when he had enough time to devote himself to it.

Then, he turned to look at the straight sword again. The curiosity still lingered in his mind, a question that refused to leave him in peace.
