Quinn destroys the planet where Immortui resides, successfully eliminating the Celestial of Death and bringing an end to his threat. In the aftermath, a massive change ripples through the universe as demons and vampires alike begin to lose their powers and revert to human-like forms. As Quinn confronts the consequences of his victory, he learns that the price for peace is high, realizing he has become the final vampire in existence.

A strange vitality had ebbed away from the vampires, leaving their hearts to pulse with an unfamiliar rhythm. The atmosphere against their skin felt revitalized, yet their sensory perception—from vision to scent—had significantly dulled.

Panic rippled through their ranks as many struggled to comprehend this sudden transition. For a multitude of them, their existence had never known what it meant to be human. They were experiencing these visceral sensations for the first time, and the change felt terrifying, akin to a creeping affliction.

This transformation wasn't limited to the vampires alone; their subclasses, those entities forged by them, were also reverting to a mundane state. The undead wights felt their hearts stutter back to life, experiencing existence in a completely novel capacity. For some, it felt less like a loss of power and more like a profound metamorphosis.

Peter found himself among those affected. He flexed his arms, clenched his fists repeatedly, and traced his fingers across his skin. Reaching up, he wiped droplets of water descending from his face. "My sense of touch, my heartbeat... everything has returned!" Peter was practically bursting with euphoria. How long had it been since he truly felt alive? He harbored gratitude for his time as a wight, having supported Quinn throughout their journey, but he hadn't realized just how much he had missed the simplicity of humanity. Perhaps because his emotions had been suppressed for so long, the intensity of this restored vitality brought him immense joy. "Is this reality? I can finally experience my life... the way it was always intended to be," Peter murmured.

"So I suppose I'm destined to remain armless for eternity, then," Hikel quipped. Although his body had mended, his arms remained absent. "Well, a bionic replacement is always an option," Edvard suggested, though he appeared deeply anxious about his own predicament. He understood that removing his armor would signify his end. While his vampire nature had seemingly vanished, the armor’s potency remained sufficient to sustain his current form.

The ancient vampires, who had endured for millennia—the originals included—reverted to human forms corresponding to the age they were when they were first turned. On that fateful day, their lives had taken an abrupt detour; now, it felt as though their suspended humanity had finally resumed. Even Chris, examining his own frame, could sense his blood flowing with a new rhythm; the supernatural alterations that once defined him had dissolved. "I suppose that confirms Quinn succeeded... he actually did it. But doesn't this imply... he is trapped there?"

A primary realization hit the vampires as they mingled with the surrounding humans: their insatiable craving for blood had evaporated. Layla worked tirelessly, trying to rally the more composed individuals to calm the chaotic rest. She struggled to rationalize the events, especially now that her own abilities were completely obliterated. A flicker of movement to her right caused her heart to race, but as she regained her composure, her pulse steadied.

"It is all gone," Vincent noted as he approached. "It is identical for me—the capacity to manipulate blood, the thirst, even our aversion to sunlight. It is not just us; all the subclasses are affected." Layla was relieved to see Galen alongside Vincent. She had been worried about his whereabouts, though his shadow-shifting abilities had provided some measure of comfort. However, that was another change; when Layla attempted to tap into her telekinesis, she found nothing remained. Much like a human's MC cells shifting upon turning, the process had repeated in reverse. They retained the potential to pursue new abilities, but they would have to start from the beginning.

Minny, too, had been rendered human, losing her mastery of the Shadow. Amidst the swirling chaos, they hovered between laughter and tears, while humans holding various abilities scrambled to support the reeling populace. "Hold on, every vampire has forfeited their essence?" Russ mused, observing his surroundings. He discovered he still possessed his prowess. "Does this mean Quinn has been stripped of his? Given Sil’s grave condition and the wolf’s lost abilities, does that elevate me to the most dominant force in this realm?" Russ smirked to himself, already savoring the possibilities.

As Layla tended to Galen, she spotted him pointing toward someone behind her while he stammered a few words. "Dad!" Galen cried out. Layla and the others whipped around to witness a glimmer of white energy dissipate, leaving Quinn Talen standing in the clearing. "Blast it, they departed immediately before I could glean further information," Quinn muttered, scratching his head. Taking a deep breath, he scanned the crowd eyes fixed on him. Most importantly, he was reunited with his kin. He witnessed Layla’s tears, his daughter Minny’s reaction, and the triumphant grin on Galen’s face. "Did you folk think I had perished? I promised I would return," Quinn said, kneeling to embrace the three of them.

The moment was bittersweet, a reunion nobody wished to conclude. As Quinn held them, a realization dawned: he could scent them, he could perceive the blood coursing through their distinct, now-human veins; they were fundamentally different from him. Russ fixed a gaze upon him, and for a fleeting second, Quinn’s eyes glowed crimson as he stared back. Quinn rose to his feet. "Dismiss any concern for those situated underground," Quinn declared, referring to the souls remaining in the lower chambers. "They have passed on." He could discern it from afar. The vampires who hadn't escaped the rubble were now in an eternal slumber. There was no method to restore them; they were human now, and their hearts would never beat again. The vampires in those chambers had accepted their slumber as a final rest, and Quinn had to find peace in that. "This marks a... new beginning for us all," Quinn smiled.
