My Vampire System Chapter 2536 Immortui's Final Form
The entity confronting Quinn no longer possessed a human form. It resembled a grotesque amalgamation of every demon Quinn had previously encountered, yet everything fit together seamlessly as if by design. It lacked the mismatched, chaotic nature of a chimera; instead, a terrifying, integrated cohesion defined the creature known as Immortui.
'Is this his demon form?' Quinn pondered. 'No, that seems inaccurate. Immortui is the celestial who birthed all demons. This is merely the raw extent of his power!'
Moving swiftly, Quinn expanded his wings and unleashed Blood Rain. As a barrage of projectiles surged toward Immortui, the celestial vanished instantly, leaving the attacks to dissipate into empty space.
Sensing a sudden shift in the energy to his right, Quinn whipped his head around, witnessing massive claws barreling toward him. He managed to deflect strike after strike with his armored gauntlets, yet the sheer force caused his arms to numb despite his transformed state. After trading blows, the snake-like appendages coiling from Immortui's hair and the crimson crystals on his back ignited. A sequence of red energy beams struck Quinn square in the chest. While the markings on his torso attempted to absorb the impact, the raw pressure of the onslaught bypassed his defenses, forcing him to skid backward through the earth, leaving a growing trail of debris that eventually formed a mound behind him.
As he slid, a shadow portal materialized behind him. Quinn retreated through it, emerging on the opposite side.
'I didn't manifest that portal... it must have been Arthur!' Quinn realized, glancing up to observe Arthur still keeping the Divine beings at bay.
Positioned behind Immortui, Quinn raised his hands, manifesting two massive, swirling tornadoes. He hurled them forward, the trailing force tearing through the ground until the vortexes crashed into Immortui, shredding his form.
Quinn dashed forward, his gauntlets wreathed in a swirling dark purple-red aura. As he closed the distance, he saw Immortui lunge, fist striking Quinn's blood drill in a violent collision.
Upon impact, Immortui’s claw expanded drastically, mirroring the giant mist he often employed. Knocked backward once again, Quinn suffered a barrage of laser-like fire from the serpents on Immortui’s head. They struck him repeatedly, drawing blood from his mouth.
Rather than letting the blood hit the ground, Quinn flicked his arm, launching the droplets. They impacted Immortui with surprising force, driving the celestial back several inches.
Suddenly, Immortui dissolved into red mist, reappearing instantly at Quinn’s side. He grabbed Quinn’s head and slammed him into the earth, forming a deep crater. While the hair-serpents continued their relentless fire, Quinn managed to utilize his wings to shield himself from the worst of it.
Seizing the moment, Immortui vaulted into the air, spiraling his body with lethal speed until he plummeted, driving his spiked tail into Quinn. The tail pierced right through Quinn's bleeding blood wings.
"You should realize by now that my blood is lethal!" Quinn roared.
He manipulated his wings to strike at Immortui again, then attempted a second Shadow Blood Screech. The attack erupted from his throat, but met only empty air.
Another massive claw swipe raked across Quinn's chest, followed by a surge of red mist that left a deep gash. As blood sprayed, Quinn coalesced it into a sword, parrying the follow-up strike. He braced for a third, but as he scanned his surroundings, he found himself alone. Suddenly, red beams of energy manifested. Utilizing his superior speed, Quinn swung the blade, intercepting every shot.
"A valiant effort, but you have already lost," Immortui declared.
Though Quinn didn't fully grasp the meaning, the cessation of the energy beams left him with a chilling realization: he could see nothing, but he could sense a terrifying void behind him.
Wheeling around, he spotted Immortui still emitting his colorless ability, which was now rapidly encroaching upon him. Faced with no other choice, he activated his counter.
[Shadow Lock!]
This skill granted Quinn a brief reprieve. He hadn't just targeted himself; he had locked Arthur as well, hoping that moving Arthur would draw the swarm of Divine beings toward their current position.
He knew the Divine beings might not be enough to overcome Immortui, but any distraction was necessary now. Invoking Shadow Lock upon himself, Quinn vanished, entering the shadow space.
Collapsing to his knees in the dark void, he clutched his chest. His wounds were slowly knitting together, but the agony persisted, and the damage was severe.
"Every single time I corner this bastard, he finds a way to become even more powerful. Am I destined to fail a third time? This is my final attempt," Quinn muttered to himself.
Overcome by a sense of impending defeat, he looked toward Arthur, who stood ahead of him.
"Please... how am I supposed to emerge victorious?"
