My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 1247: New Origin Unlocked
Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
While Sovereign Abyssal Darkness continued searching the surrounding void, I remained completely still within the isolated space, my attention focused on the fragments of Ice Origin being drawn into the black hole inside my Divine Core.
The process was far faster than I had expected. Each fragment that entered the black hole was immediately broken down and refined, stripped of everything unnecessary before the pure essence was absorbed into my Divine Core. Within only a few seconds, the remaining fragments had been completely devoured, leaving nothing behind.
The moment the final fragment disappeared, something struck my mind.
It came without warning, like a bolt of lightning tearing through an otherwise calm sky.
My consciousness trembled as an enormous amount of information flooded into it. Images, principles, relationships, countless subtle changes in temperature and structure, the way Ice interacted with Space, Time, matter, and even the flow of energy itself. I did not need to consciously analyze any of it. The moment the comprehension entered my mind, it simply became part of my understanding.
I closed my eyes and remained still.
For several seconds, I allowed the enlightenment to settle.
When I finally opened my eyes again, a faint coldness lingered around me, not because I was releasing Ice Origin, but because my understanding of it had fundamentally changed.
I had gained 12% resonance with the Origin of Ice.
I could not help but smile.
Twelve percent from a single Origin fragment was already an incredible gain, especially considering that I had obtained it almost entirely by devouring the remnants of the Eternal’s connection to his Origin. It also gave me another Origin I could use in combat, although I had no intention of revealing that ability to anyone yet.
Curious about the exact changes, I summoned my status screen.

My eyes lingered on Space and Time.
Both were still at twenty-four percent. That meant I was only one percent away from reaching the next threshold.
Twenty-five percent.
The threshold for becoming a Middle Demi-God.
I had already spent a considerable amount of time meditating in the Origin Expanse, and even with all my summons continuously comprehending Time and sending their understanding back through our connection, that final one percent had proven incredibly difficult to obtain. The closer an Origin resonance came to the next threshold, the more difficult each additional increase became.
Still, twenty-four percent was already enough to make me feel the difference.
Once I reached twenty-five, my existence would undergo another transformation. I closed the status screen and looked toward the black hole within my Divine Core.
The terrifying rotation of the Abyssal Extraction Authority had already begun slowing down. After consuming every fragment of Ice Origin, the black-hole construct gradually returned to its normal state, once again becoming the silent abyss that could continuously refine Law fragments within my Divine Core.
At the same time, the final connection between the Eternal and the Origin of Ice disappeared.
The soul fluctuation I had sensed earlier weakened. Then it weakened again.
Until finally, it vanished completely.
The Eternal was truly dead this time. There was no remaining soul. His existence had been completely severed.
I looked at the empty space before me for a moment before turning my attention back toward the isolated barrier.
Outside, Sovereign Abyssal Darkness was still standing in place while waves of dark ripple spread from him trying to find me.
Sovereign Abyssal Darkness continued searching through the void, his perception spreading outward in every direction as he tried to locate the space I had isolated myself within. He moved slowly at first, examining every fluctuation and every distortion, but no matter how far his perception reached, he could not find even the slightest trace of my existence.
Then, without warning, Space behind him rippled.
I stepped out of the isolated space and appeared several hundred meters behind him, standing calmly in the void as if I had never disappeared at all. Darkness immediately sensed my presence and turned around, his black cloak shifting slightly as his gaze locked onto me.
I smiled faintly.
"Are you looking for me, or the dead Eternal?"
For a moment, he simply stared at me. Then a long sigh escaped from beneath his hood, and some of the tension in his body seemed to disappear.
"I would have never imagined, even in my wildest dreams, that you would grow this strong so quickly."
There was no longer any point in hiding his surprise. He had witnessed the Eternal’s death, felt the fluctuations from my battle with him, and now he had watched me disappear from his perception entirely before reappearing behind him. Whatever information the Eternals had gathered about me before my ascension was clearly useless now.
I chuckled softly. "So, are you going to surrender now?"
Darkness laughed.
"Surrender?" His voice carried a strange amusement as the darkness around his body slowly began to churn again. "Why would I surrender? Do you really believe you have already won?"
"I suppose we will find out soon enough," I replied, taking a few steps forward before curiosity got the better of me. "But tell me something first. Why did you betray us?"
The darkness around him became still.
Then he laughed again, though this time there was something colder behind it.
"Betray?"
He slowly raised his head, revealing only the faintest glimpse of his eyes beneath the hood.
"I have betrayed no one. I simply decided to give my service to the side that offers me greater benefits. You still think in terms of loyalty, race, territory, and some meaningless concept of right and wrong, but those things stopped mattering to me a long time ago."
He spread one hand, and the darkness surrounding his fingers slowly twisted into thin strands.
"When someone reaches the Demi-God realm, they have already stepped beyond the limitations that bind ordinary beings. We decide the laws. We decide who survives. We decide which rules matter and which ones do not. What is morality when one possesses enough power to reshape reality itself?"
His voice became increasingly calm as he spoke, almost as though he were explaining something obvious.
"Those below us call something right when it benefits them and wrong when it harms them. Why should I accept their judgment? If I choose to protect a civilization, then I am righteous in their eyes. If I choose to destroy it, then I become a monster. The only difference is whether they have the strength to oppose my decision."
He slowly clenched his fist.
"At our level, strength is the only true authority. The victor decides what was right. The defeated can complain about morality until the end of existence, but no one listens to the weak."
I listened quietly.
There was something almost amusing about the certainty in his words.
He genuinely believed that reaching the Demi-God realm had placed him above every concept that governed ordinary beings, as though power itself had granted him the right to decide what was true and what was false.
I smiled.
"Then I suppose there is one thing I should do."
