Billion Ironheart confronts the Sovereign Frozen World, a Demi-God, in a desolate region of space. The Sovereign Frozen World initiates the battle, using his Ice Authority to trap Billion Ironheart within a rapidly freezing domain. Billion Ironheart retaliates with his fire abilities, but the Sovereign Frozen World enhances his power by drawing upon his Soul Force, creating a massive frozen sphere around Billion Ironheart. Facing this escalated threat, Billion Ironheart decides to stop holding back.

Golden light erupted from my body.

The moment I released my pure Soul Force and allowed it to flow into my Origin of Fire, the golden radiance surrounding me suddenly changed. Rather than remaining close to my body, the Soul Force surged outward and began gathering above me.

Flames erupted from the golden light, rapidly taking shape until an enormous fire phoenix appeared above my body, its wings stretching across the void as crimson and golden flames rolled from its feathers.

The phoenix was enormous, and every movement it made caused the surrounding void to tremble. Its eyes burned with a terrifying intelligence, while the flames surrounding its body continued growing stronger as I fed more of my Soul Force into it.

The Eternal’s expression changed instantly.

His eyes widened as he stared at the enormous phoenix hovering above me.

"Grade Two Soul Force..."

His voice was barely more than a mutter, but I heard it clearly.

I understood what had shocked him.

Pale Golden Soul Force was only the first grade of transformed Soul Force. Above it were deeper levels of golden Soul Force, each representing a greater transformation of one’s soul foundation. I had only recently entered the second stage of that transformation.

I was about to continue feeding more Soul Force into the phoenix when the System suddenly appeared before me.

[Priority Communication Received.]

[Source: Amun.]

I immediately focused on the notification.

Amun’s message appeared.

[The plan I told you about is in motion. One of the traitors will soon arrive to assist the Eternal Demi-God. You need to hold on for now. We will come to help you as soon as possible.]

My eyes narrowed slightly.

So this was the opportunity Amun had mentioned.

One of the traitors was coming here.

I looked toward the Eternal, then at the enormous phoenix hovering above me. I had originally intended to continue pouring Soul Force into it until its power reached its limit, but I stopped.

There was no need.

If I destroyed this Eternal Demi-God too quickly, I might never get the chance to discover which traitor was working with the Eternals.

I lowered my hand slightly and waited.

The Eternal clearly misunderstood my hesitation.

The frozen world surrounding me continued expanding, spreading across the void as enormous layers of ice formed in every direction. Mountains of ice appeared from nothing, rapidly enclosing the surrounding space and pushing toward me from all sides.

I watched the expanding frozen world calmly.

Then I released the phoenix.

It moved.

The enormous creature streaked through the void like a golden-red meteor, its wings spreading wide as it released a deep cry that echoed across the desolate cosmos. The flames surrounding its body erupted outward, and wherever it passed, the frozen world melted instantly. Massive sheets of ice disappeared beneath the heat of its Origin Fire, leaving nothing behind but boiling energy and fragments of molten material.

The Sovereign Frozen World’s expression changed.

He had clearly not expected his technique to be destroyed so easily. He immediately raised both hands.

"Ice Mirror!"

The frozen world around him collapsed inward, and an enormous mirror made entirely from translucent ice suddenly formed before him. It was hundreds of miles high and wide, thick enough to resemble an enormous wall of frozen crystal.

The Sovereign Frozen World stood behind it.

Then something strange happened. The surface of the mirror reflected the approaching phoenix. But the reflection did not remain a reflection.

A second fire phoenix suddenly emerged from the surface of the ice mirror. It came flying directly toward my phoenix.

The two enormous creatures collided in the middle of the void.

BANG!!

The explosion was immense.

Fire and ice erupted in every direction, and the surrounding void shook violently as the two phoenixes tore into each other. I immediately understood the nature of his technique.

So that was his ability. The mirror wasn’t merely a defensive barrier. It could reflect an incoming attack and produce a counterattack of its own.

A defensive technique combined with a counterattack.

But my phoenix was stronger.

After a fierce collision, my phoenix tore through the reflected creature. Its flames consumed the opposing phoenix, causing the enormous fiery figure to break apart and disappear into the void. My attack had lost some of its power in the exchange, but it continued forward with roughly eighty percent of its original strength.

The phoenix slammed into the enormous ice mirror.

For a moment, the mirror held. Then cracks appeared across its surface.

The flames spread.

The translucent ice began glowing red as the heat of my Origin Fire slowly consumed it. The Sovereign Frozen World tried to reinforce the mirror with more Ice Authority, but the flames continued spreading across its surface until the entire structure was burning.

A deep cracking sound echoed through the void.

Then the mirror exploded.

The remaining flames surged forward. The Eternal’s expression changed as the phoenix finally reached him.

He raised both arms and attempted to defend himself, but there was no longer enough time. The fire phoenix crashed directly into his body.

A brilliant explosion erupted across the desolate region of space. For a moment, everything disappeared beneath the overwhelming light of the flames.

I remained suspended in the void, watching silently as the brilliant radiance slowly faded.

When the light finally cleared, the Sovereign Frozen World was still standing.

Barely.

His clothes had been completely burned away, leaving his body covered in deep charred marks. Blood flowed from numerous wounds across his chest and arms, dripping into the void as his golden Soul Force flickered around him.

He looked at me, and whatever calm he had carried at the beginning of our battle was completely gone. Fear had finally appeared in his eyes, mixed with the caution of someone who had realized that the opponent standing before him was far more dangerous than he had expected.

I took a single step forward.

Space rippled beneath my feet, and in the next instant, my body vanished from where I stood and reappeared directly behind him. I twisted my waist as my fist drew back, Soul Force surging through my arm and gathering around my knuckles. Blazing flames erupted across my fist, wrapping it in a dense layer of fire before I drove it straight into his spine.

BOOM!

The impact sent a deep shockwave through the void.

His body was hurled forward like a meteor, and the sound of breaking bones followed the instant my fist connected. I had deliberately restrained my strength, controlling the amount of Soul Force behind the blow so that his body would not simply explode from the impact. I wanted him alive.

Before he could even stabilize himself, I stepped through the space between us, preparing to continue the assault.

Then I felt it.

A faint disturbance brushed against the edge of my perception. The darkness surrounding the battlefield had rippled.

It was so subtle that an ordinary Demi God would never have noticed it, but nothing within my perception could escape me. Someone had entered the battlefield and was deliberately concealing their presence.

The traitor had arrived.

I paused for no more than a microsecond before continuing forward. If they wanted to remain hidden, I would let them believe their concealment had worked.
