My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 1163: Viserys
Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
It would be a lie to say I wasn’t surprised by what I saw. I had imagined the Twelfth Soul Current as some incomprehensible force, perhaps a vast river of living Soul Force or an endless current flowing between dimensions. I had never considered that it might possess a physical form.
Yet the greatest shock wasn’t her appearance.
She was alive.
There was no mistaking it. She wasn’t a manifestation, a projection, or a consciousness existing within someone else’s soul. She possessed a living body, a living soul, and an existence that felt disturbingly similar to mine. Somehow, a living being had existed within the Null Realm for an age beyond anything I could comprehend.
As though she had heard the thought, her black eyes shifted toward me and remained there.
She tilted her head slightly, studying me with an almost detached curiosity.
"A living being within this realm?" she murmured. "That does surprise me."
Her gaze lingered upon me for another moment before her expression gradually hardened.
"And yet you are not the only curiosity standing before my door."
Her eyes moved across the others with unmistakable disdain. She examined the Dragons, the Astrals, the Elves and the remaining Saints as though she were looking over a collection of particularly troublesome insects that had somehow wandered into her territory.
"You have brought quite a gathering."
The woman slowly turned her head toward the enormous battlefield behind us, her expression becoming increasingly irritated.
"How long has it been since I last saw the surface?" she asked, though it sounded less like a question directed at us and more like a thought spoken aloud. "Long enough that I had almost forgotten the scent of those who dwell beyond these walls."
She sighed softly before looking back toward us.
"And where is that insufferable ape?"
There was genuine irritation in her voice now.
"The stupid creature has surely not sent another group of fools to my doorstep."
Before anyone could answer, she casually raised one hand.
The space beside her fingers cracked.
It wasn’t an attack.
The very fabric of reality simply fractured under the movement of her hand, spreading outward in enormous spiderweb-like cracks. Beyond those cracks, something else began appearing.
Shelves.
Books.
Floating staircases.
The endless library.
The same impossible structure we had entered after passing through the first gate began forcing its way into reality, as though she were tearing open a passage to another dimension by sheer will.
Several Saints immediately tensed.
I didn’t.
The woman didn’t even look at us.
She simply watched the library emerge with the detached expression of someone opening a door to retrieve something she had misplaced.
Then a familiar voice suddenly echoed across the battlefield.
"Oh, Lady Viserys."
Macaco appeared beside one of the fractured sections of space, looking considerably less cheerful than usual. He adjusted his spectacles with an awkward smile before giving her a small, almost apologetic wave.
"You know you’re not supposed to escape."
Viserys slowly turned her head toward him. The irritation in her eyes intensified.
"I had wondered how long it would take you to appear."
Macaco’s smile became sheepish.
"I do try to give everyone a little privacy."
He clasped his hands together.
"But unfortunately, the rules are the rules."
Viserys stared at him for several seconds before looking back toward the expanding library.
"You know there will come a day when you won’t be able to hold me back."
"Yes, I am aware."
Macaco smiled.
Then he clapped his hands. The sound was remarkably small.
Yet the effect was immediate.
The cracks spreading across space sealed themselves as though they had never existed. The fragments of the library began dissolving into countless particles of light before being pulled backward through the closing dimensional fracture. Within moments, the floating staircases, endless shelves and books had disappeared completely.
The battlefield returned to normal. Macaco gave Viserys an apologetic bow.
"Please don’t make me do that again. I am an old man."
Before she could answer, his figure vanished.
The silence that followed was almost absurd.
Viserys slowly lowered her hand and stared at the empty space where the library had disappeared. Her expression was cold enough to freeze the air around her.
Then her black eyes returned to us.
For the first time, there was something more than arrogance in them.
There was anger.
Not the explosive anger of someone preparing to attack, but the restrained fury of an ancient existence who had spent far too long being denied something she believed was rightfully hers.
"You have come here seeking me."
Her gaze settled upon me.
"I presume you did not endure those trials merely to exchange pleasantries."
A faint, humorless smile touched her lips.
"Very well."
She folded her hands behind her back once more.
"Tell me, little living one."
Her voice remained calm, almost dismissive.
"What precisely do you intend to do with me?"
Every surviving Saint turned toward me.
For a moment, I said nothing. I had expected the Twelfth Soul Current to be an ancient force without a fixed identity, perhaps something so fundamentally different from us that giving it a name would have been meaningless.
Yet she had just introduced herself as Viserys. Somehow, the entity we had spent so long calling the Twelfth Soul Current possessed a name of her own.
My thoughts briefly returned to the rules Macaco had given us. We had crossed the trials to earn the right to stand before her, but that did not mean she would willingly accompany us. If we wanted to take her from this place, we would have to subdue her first. The simplest approach would have been to ask for her cooperation, but after seeing the contempt in her eyes, I already knew how unlikely that would be.
Viserys seemed to grow impatient with our silence.
"I asked you a question," she said, her tone carrying the same aloofness as before. "Why have you come here?"
Before I could answer, something changed.
The darkness surrounding her suddenly expanded.
It was the same presence we had sensed beyond the door, except now there was nothing separating us from it. The horrifying aura poured from Viserys and spread across the entire dimension, swallowing the battlefield beneath an invisible tide of malice.
My body instinctively reacted.
Soul Force surged around me as I reinforced every part of my existence.
The pressure was suffocating.
It wasn’t merely an oppressive aura. It carried emotions that seemed to have been accumulated over an eternity. Hatred, despair, rage, loneliness and an overwhelming desire to destroy flooded into my perception.
I could hear screams echoing inside my mind, countless voices crying out from somewhere beyond my understanding. The air itself seemed to carry the stench of blood and death, despite there being nothing physical around us that could produce such a smell.
Several Saints staggered.
I clenched my teeth and took a step forward.
