Madam White and Joanna are furious with Annie Lawrence for her past deception and her current schemes to harm Joanna. Joanna decides to take matters into her own hands, using the fact that Annie's apartment is owned by the White family to evict her and her mother, Rose Liall. Despite Annie's protests and claims of paid rent, they are unceremoniously thrown out of their home.

David Benington was responsible for discovering the residence.

Consequently, David Benington also covered the rental expenses.

While they were residing abroad, Annie Lawrence and Rose Liall had subsisted on the financial support provided by David Benington.

This arrangement continued even after their return to Closia.

Having been an entertainer since her graduation, Annie lacked alternative employment skills.

She found herself without recourse for income once she exited the entertainment industry.

Admittedly, if she were willing to endure less desirable work, securing a basic job requiring no specialized skills would have been feasible.

However, she found the prospect of stooping to such employment beneath her.

Moreover, the meager earnings from such ordinary jobs would barely suffice for a single item of clothing, a pair of shoes, or a handbag.

Those accustomed to opulent lifestyles rarely embrace a simpler existence.

Annie Lawrence exemplified this sentiment.

Under David Benington's guidance, she had briefly engaged in the entertainment industry while overseas.

She appeared in low-tier films and endorsed obscure products, accumulating some funds which were subsequently used for cosmetic surgery.

Upon her arrival back in Closia, she was practically destitute.

Initially, she had anticipated a swift path to financial success in the Closian entertainment industry.

Yet, before she could even earn money, she was abruptly expelled from the entertainment circle.

With David Benington now indifferent to her plight and her financial resources depleted, she was evicted from her rented accommodation.

Her situation had reached an all-time low.

Overwhelmed by these successive misfortunes, Annie Lawrence felt her sanity slipping away.

"Ms. Aria, you must vacate the premises immediately," the security guard stated impassively, addressing the pale-faced mother and daughter. His subsequent words carried a harsher tone, "Should we be compelled to escort you out forcefully, the ensuing situation may prove rather unpleasant."

Annie Lawrence understood the implication of their 'forcible measures'.

It meant that if she refused to leave.

The security personnel would physically remove her and her mother, unceremoniously ejecting them from the premises.

At that point.

The entire community would witness their humiliation.

Annie Lawrence, unable to stomach such public disgrace, recognized that regardless of her desires, departure was her only option.

Lifting her head, her lips pressed into a thin line, her eyes blazing with indignation and malice, she slowly rose from the ground.

"Mom, let's go!"

"But where will we stay tonight?" Rose Liall inquired, her eyes red as she leaned on her daughter for support. "We can't possibly sleep on the streets. That heartless, short-lived ghost, David, how could he do this to us?"

"Is he trying to push us to the absolute brink!"

Rose Liall also firmly believed David Benington was the instigator of their eviction.

She continuously uttered curses against David.

Annie Lawrence harbored similar sentiments.

Her gaze fixed, teeth clenched in fury, she declared, "He seeks to sever all ties with me, fearing I might jeopardize his future prospects. Since he has chosen such a cruel path, I refuse to be subjugated!"

"I will not allow him to have his way!"

Laden with numerous bags, Annie Lawrence and Rose Liall entered a taxi. Annie utilized her mobile phone to locate an affordable budget hotel nearby and directed the driver accordingly.

Her available funds were limited.

However, she possessed sufficient resources for a few nights' stay at a hotel.

Approximately twenty minutes later, the taxi halted outside the entrance of the budget hotel.

Annie Lawrence and Rose Liall disembarked from the vehicle.

Upon entering the lobby, Annie Lawrence proceeded to the reception desk for check-in.

The two young receptionists, appearing to be around twenty years old, took Annie's identification. One of them glanced at it before looking up at Annie with a peculiar expression.
