My Rich Wife Chapter 3: Get Him Back Here

Previously on My Rich Wife...
Yan Ruoxue rushes the unconscious Qin Yu to the hospital, brushing off invitations from the mayor and chamber of commerce while ignoring her secretary's teasing and her own worsening cough. In a dream, Qin Yu encounters a domineering man who reveals himself as his father, lamenting his son's incompetence before bestowing ancient medical knowledge, cultivation techniques, and a surge of Qi energy upon him. Awakening in the hospital, Qin Yu meets his rescuer, Yan Ruoxue, who suffers from chronic asthma unresponsive to medication; despite mockery from the attending doctor, she reluctantly allows Qin Yu to attempt a hands-on treatment, requiring him to place his hand on her chest.

"You punk! How dare you make such an insolent request?" the doctor roared furiously right away.

In their minds, everyone saw Yan Ruoxue as an idol. To them, she resembled a sacred angel. So, they refused to let anyone tarnish her, particularly a loser like Qin Yu.

Yan Ruoxue's bodyguards even rushed ahead, attempting to surround him completely.

Yet, Yan Ruoxue gazed at Qin Yu without any emotion.

Following a moment of thought, Yan Ruoxue eventually consented to allow him a chance.

She reflected inwardly that if he turned out to be a fraud, it would give her a solid excuse to reject the entire engagement.

Once she lay down on the bed, Qin Yu caught sight of Yan Ruoxue's pale yet full breasts.

His face turning red, Qin Yu approached Yan Ruoxue.

He whispered, "Please forgive me, Miss Ruoxue."

With those words, Qin Yu extended his hand and softly laid it upon Yan Ruoxue.

The beauty of Yan Ruoxue was beyond imagination. Su Yan couldn't hold a candle to her.

Her curvaceous body was flawlessly alluring, impossible for anyone to ignore.

From the side, the doctor and bodyguards' eyes almost bulged out in shock.

Without Yan Ruoxue holding them back, they would have torn Qin Yu apart and ground him into pulp by now.

Qin Yu suppressed his desires and pushed aside his impure ideas to steady himself.

Next, he adhered to the guidance from the sacred medical scrolls in his head, circulating his Qi—formed like a soaring dragon—in his dantian and directing it outward.

Afterward, a soothing warmth gradually flowed from Qin Yu's palm into Yan Ruoxue's form.

Yan Ruoxue felt warmth spread through her immediately. Soon after, a burning sensation engulfed her whole body, like immersing in a steaming hot spring.

As moments ticked by, sweat began to bead on his brow.

In the flash of an eye, ten minutes had elapsed.

Yan Ruoxue's face darkened. "There's only so much advantage you can take of me! Stop it now!"

Moreover, besides the warmth inside her, Yan Ruoxue sensed no other changes.

On the contrary, breathing became hard for her, with a heavy tightness in her chest that sparked an intense need to cough, heightening her irritation.

She shook her head, thinking, "Grandpa must have overestimated him."

Right then, Qin Yu withdrew his hand from Yan Ruoxue's body.

As he wiped away the sweat, he said quietly, "Miss Ruoxue, your treatment is complete. Full recovery should happen in about ten minutes."

Rising from the bed, Yan Ruoxue sneered, "Fully recovered in ten minutes? Do you think I'm an idiot?"

Moments after her words, Yan Ruoxue erupted into a fierce coughing fit, her complexion draining to pale gray.

Witnessing this, Qin Yu froze in place, his anxiety leaving him unsure how to react with his hands.

"Miss, allow us to end him!" the muscular bodyguards shouted together.

Yan Ruoxue dismissed them with a wave, eyeing the wall clock. She announced, "Fine. You've got ten minutes."

In reality, Qin Yu harbored doubts about whether it would succeed.

He couldn't discern if the bizarre event before was genuine or merely a fantasy.

Suddenly, the bodyguards marched up to Qin Yu, encircling him lest he attempt to flee.

Before long, nine minutes had flown by.

Glancing at the clock, Yan Ruoxue asked flatly, "Seems you lied to me. Well, how did it feel? Enjoy the touch?"

A bitter smile crossed Qin Yu's face inevitably. He realized excuses would fall on deaf ears, dismissed as pretexts, so he chose silence.

As the bodyguards advanced to grab him, Qin Yu stayed composed, not a trace of fear in him.

At this stage, death could mean freedom, given his utter lack of prospects in life.

"Let it go," Yan Ruoxue said, flicking her hand.

"For matters I prefer not to reveal, I'll spare you once. But stay out of my sight from now on," she continued icily.

Staying quiet, Qin Yu stood and offered a bow to Yan Ruoxue.

"Goodbye, Miss Ruoxue," Qin Yu stated, then departed.

"Miss, you're really letting him walk away like nothing happened?" the bodyguards asked unhappily once Qin Yu was gone.

Yan Ruoxue looked at them and paused briefly.

"Think of it as settling the debt to his father," Yan Ruoxue murmured with a sigh, her face etched with letdown.

Prior to arriving in Jiangcheng, her grandfather had praised Qin Yu endlessly and lavishly, elevating him to divine status. She anticipated greatness from him.

"Grandpa, you misjudged him," Yan Ruoxue lamented.

Suddenly, a surge of warmth coursed through Yan Ruoxue.

Before reacting, she coughed hard, expelling a black, murky goo from her mouth.

"Miss, are you okay?"

"What did that jerk do to you? I'll haul him back immediately!"

"I'll kill him for sure!"

Overhearing their outcries, Yan Ruoxue halted them.

Upon pressing her chest, she marveled that the oppressive sensation plaguing her for years was gone. The scratchy, irritating throat ache had vanished completely too.

"He spoke the truth after all?" Yan Ruoxue remarked in bewilderment, puzzled by her sensations.

"Bring him back at once!" Yan Ruoxue ordered.
