My Hidden Wife is Sweet Chapter 1811 - The Qin Family Was Wrong

~2 minute read · 610 words

Gu Weiwei gazed at Mrs. Fu in shock, arching her eyebrows as she asked, “Are you sure I can do that?”

“Absolutely! Rest assured, I've already convinced that stubborn old man.” Mrs. Fu understood her concern about Fu Shengying and reassured her confidently with a raised brow.

Gu Weiwei grasped Mrs. Fu’s hands tightly. “Auntie, thank you so much. Once this is settled, Hanzheng and I will pick a wedding date.”

With him occupied handling business in A Land, now wasn't the moment to sort out their personal matters.

Mrs. Fu let out a sigh. “Won't you call me mom until after the marriage certificate is in hand?”

Gu Weiwei laughed lightly. “It's not that pressing.”

In the end, it wouldn't be appropriate for them to use such intimate terms yet.

They were chatting when the servant announced, “Madam, Miss Qin has arrived. Shall I let her in?”

Mrs. Fu smiled warmly at her grandkids, but her face darkened instantly upon hearing the Qin Family had come.

The mention of the ‘Qin Family’ made Gu Weiwei abruptly recall poisoning Qin Lv with the neurotoxin.

“Qin Lv’s poison hasn’t been neutralized yet?”

“Nope, he must've learned you're here and rushed over for the antidote,” Mrs. Fu snapped in fury.

After this fiasco, they'd cut off all ties with the Qin Family for good.

Gu Weiwei pondered briefly. Without the antidote by now, Qin Lv would've endured agony for half a month and hit his breaking point.

“Let's see her and wrap this up.”

Mrs. Fu nodded at her words and instructed the servant, “Invite her to the living room; we'll join shortly.”

Carrying the two little ones, they washed up and headed to the living room, where Qin Man waited impatiently.

Qin Man breathed a heavy sigh of relief seeing them emerge holding the children. At least their son was safe, or their family would've faced endless woes.

“Auntie, Weiwei, we're truly sorry for what occurred.”

“Save your apologies for me— I hold no power here. Beg Weiwei instead.” Mrs. Fu cradled her grandson, her face stern.

Qin Man spoke earnestly, “I'm sorry. I apologize for my nephew. Once he's better, my father and I will escort him here to your home…”

“You're here for the antidote, right?” After seating herself on the sofa with Youyou, Gu Weiwei paused thoughtfully before saying, “I don't have it today, but come morning, I'll send it over.”

“Tomorrow…” Qin Man frowned deeply. Another day meant more torment for Lv.

“Multiple antidote types exist. Hunt for it yourself or have others test them. Pick the wrong one, and you're in deep trouble. I'll arrange delivery once we're back in Pearl River,” Gu Weiwei stated coolly.

Qin Man pressed her lips together. Knowing her family was at fault, she refrained from pushing further.

“Fine, I'll await your word tomorrow.”

Without confirmation that the child was returned and Weiwei unharmed, she wouldn't have braved asking for the antidote.

Realizing she overstayed her unwelcome at the Fu residence, Qin Man departed after achieving her goal.

Gu Weiwei glanced at Mrs. Fu. “How should we handle the Qin Family now?”

“The Fu Family pulled every project with the Qin Family—we're done dealing with them forever,” Mrs. Fu declared furiously.

Gu Weiwei could hardly believe it.

“You've shared friendship for decades; it's not necessary to…”

“Qin Lv solo would've been tolerable. But Qin Feng's role means our families can never link up again.” Mrs. Fu huffed disdainfully.

Besides, the blame lay squarely with the Qin Family—no one could fault the Fus for ruthlessness.

Fortunately, their grandson returned unscathed; else, the fallout would've been far graver.
