My God domain is the endless abyss Chapter 2: World Origin
Previously on My God domain is the endless abyss...
For the past four years, Cillian Carter had gained a solid understanding of this realm.
In this world, the perception of various domains was quite straightforward. Any world possessing power sources such as magic, internal energy, or vindictive aura was deemed a Transcendent World. Conversely, worlds structured around technology or physical evolution were categorized as ordinary worlds.
However, such a classification was superficial, even nonsensical. Numerous designed worlds held immense potential, yet during the final evaluation of a graduation project, they were unjustly given failing grades merely for not conforming to the standard blueprint of what the world defined as "Transcendent."
This was largely attributable to the grading system. Each student's world had to undergo several assessments. Many worlds brimming with potential failed to impress in their initial stages, particularly concerning defensive or combat capabilities, leading most graduates to adopt a cautious approach. They focused on front-loading combat power, molding their worlds to fit a set of rigid templates and formulas.
To Cillian, this approach rendered nearly every Divine Domain uninspired and monotonous.
More significantly, among all the high-scoring graduation projects throughout the years, not a single one featured a world resembling the one Cillian envisioned.
Not even remotely.
All the Divine Domains were meticulously constructed, orderly, and controlled. No graduate had ever dared to conceive of a vast, chaotic world like the one Cillian imagined—a place that annihilated peace and drowned in sheer madness.
No one had even contemplated exploring something like the Endless Abyss.
"Wait, you're designing a Transcendent World from scratch?"
The surrounding students looked astonished upon hearing his declaration.
They assumed he was jesting, attempting to elicit a laugh before the serious undertaking commenced. After all, jokes were out of the question concerning graduation projects; they dictated one's entire future.
And constructing a world from nothing? That was a feat only the most elite prodigies would dare attempt. Cillian, though intelligent, was, in their view, far from reaching that caliber.
"Dude, even if you're messing around, just be cautious. You should choose something safe."
"Yeah, just pick a tech world or perhaps a low-magic fantasy realm. Play it smart, meet the evaluation benchmarks, and you'll graduate."
Cillian simply offered a smile. Attempting to explain would only make him appear more outlandish.
After officially registering his world's designation, Cillian was presented with a piece of world origin.
It resembled a shimmering orb, an "air mass" teeming with endless streams of radiant luminosity.
"So, this is the genesis of a world..." Cillian gazed at the glowing orb in his palm, focusing his thoughts.
"Alright, it's time to begin. System, upload the base model of the Endless Abyss."
Cillian closed his eyes and activated his Goldfinger—the support system that accompanied him upon his transmigration to this world. The system had remained largely dormant until now due to his lack of requisite materials.
However, with his divine fire ignited and the world origin secured, its functionalities were finally accessible.
"Uploading Abyss Model..."
A dull headache pulsed as a torrent of chaotic information flooded his consciousness. Innumerable theories, frameworks, and warped world mechanics occupied his thoughts.
Cillian did not falter.
Instead, he meticulously examined the foundational model for the abyss, making necessary adjustments. Then, with his eyes still shut, he channeled his intentions into the luminous orb, the very origin of his domain.
Guided by his divine fire, he commenced the fusion of the orb with his spirit, forging a stable connection between himself and this nascent world.
"So, this is the procedure for establishing a Divine Domain..."
Upon opening his eyes, he found himself immersed in absolute chaos.
No order, no structure, only swirling energies and clashing elements, all in a state of unformation. It was akin to a crucible of seething, nonsensical power.
"Very well. Time to establish the first continent."
He concentrated, drawing forth countless unformed elements. Under his command, they began to coalesce into land, utilizing the world origin as their source of sustenance. The landmass expanded, growing in breadth and depth, until it spanned hundreds of kilometers.
Next came the establishment of rules.
"Now, to define the fundamental laws of this world."
Cillian drew a deep breath.
"Within this realm," he murmured, "every well-formed domain possesses core principles, akin to the four fundamental forces of science or the internal pathways of Qi cultivation. Each world derives its structure from the equilibrium of multiple interconnected rules."
"Like interlocking gears in a mechanism," he elaborated. "Each with a distinct function, yet all integral to the same overarching system."
"But the Endless Abyss operates differently."
"This is a domain governed by a singular principle: absolute chaos."
He spoke these words as he imprinted the initial major law into the nascent world: Absolute Chaos.
The instant it took hold, the land began to fragment.
The colossal continent fractured, plunging downward—spiraling into an even deeper spatial layer. It descended into a low-latitude region, a brutal dimension where ordinary existence could not endure. It contorted, reformed, and continued its descent.
Yet, Cillian remained unperturbed. This was the intended progression of events.
With an unruffled demeanor, he commenced the construction of the second landmass, followed by a third, then a fourth...
A total of sixty-six.
Each was erected only to collapse downward, forging a multi-layered abyss that spun and fractured, shifting unpredictably.
The changes lacked any discernible pattern. Landmasses disintegrated. New configurations interlocked. Gravity warped inexplicably. Nothing adhered to conventional logic.
Not even deities could ascertain the mechanics of this world's movements.
Establishing order within this realm was an impossibility. Constructing anything stable was likewise impossible.
By Grimstone's established criteria, such a domain would be classified a complete failure upon the initial assessment.
Nevertheless, Cillian showed no hesitation.
He observed the escalating chaos with a tranquil gaze. He was in the process of creating something distinct. Something beyond their comprehension.
As the sixty-six fractured continents descended together, swirling ever downward, they coalesced into a singular, expansive low-latitude realm, one that looped eternally through strata of distorted dimensions.
This was the nascent form of the Endless Abyss.
While not yet complete, its current scale already surpassed that of a dozen Earths combined.
And as Cillian meticulously shaped it, an entity—or perhaps a presence—observed him from the encroaching obscurity.
Unseen eyes had begun to scrutinize this bizarre, unachievable world from the profound depths of the void.
