My Girlfriend is a Zombie Chapter 1335: Bloody Party

Zzzt zzzt…
The projector, linked to the computer, whirred to life, and a completely black image instantly dominated the screen.
Every individual in the Meeting Room shifted their gaze to the display, then back to Zhang Dongyao.
“Everyone, please remain calm,” Zhang Dongyao’s smile grew even more pronounced.
The young woman beside him kept her head bowed, and Anan quietly observed the screen.
Was this some kind of demonstration? But how could such a thing occur without prior announcement? Yao Haidong scowled at the secretary, who immediately adopted a look of distress.
“I…”
Yet, before any explanation could be offered, a face materialized on the screen.
Simultaneously, a voice echoed, “Just put this on, correct? Alright, alright, I see it, that’s perfectly fine.”
“Ah hem…” The face receded slightly, then a smile emerged. “Greetings, everyone.”
Yao Haidong’s eyes instantly became fixed on the screen’s inhabitant, his hands pressing down on the table as he stared intently.
The others reacted with disbelief, and the secretary instinctively covered her mouth.
The most significant reaction came from Su Qianrou. Her eyes widened in horror as she gazed at the screen, then she suddenly leaped to her feet. “Ling Mo!”
“I’m aware you’ve all known me for some time, so I’ve come today specifically to meet with you,” Ling Mo continued to smile on the screen.
“How did he…?” A senior manager managed to utter a few words.
“I’m certain you’re all curious about my whereabouts. To be honest, I feel a bit awkward. I’ve traveled all this way to your premises without formally paying my respects to the master. But upon reflection, it truly isn’t necessary, because… I am about to become the master here.” Ling Mo’s demeanor suggested he was discussing the most ordinary of matters, yet his smile was searingly harsh to Yao Haidong and the others.
“He’s here! Immediately…” The earlier-speaking senior manager had just started to rise when a hand firmly grasped him.
At that precise moment, the individual who had seized him ascended the conference table, surveyed all the present Falcon senior management, and then spoke in perfect unison with Ling Mo on the screen: “Let the meeting commence, with an intriguing turn.”
“Crack!”
A sickening snap echoed as Zhang Dongyao forcefully twisted the senior manager’s neck. Releasing the now limp corpse, he spread his arms wide with a grin and declared, “Come, hahahaha…”
Concurrently, a vibrant and rhythmic dance track erupted from the computer, effectively drowning out all other sounds within the room.
The Soldiers stationed outside the door looked towards the entrance in confusion.
“Why are they playing music now?”
“No clue. Just heard some laughter from inside.”
“Who knows what those important figures are up to…”
The two exchanged a glance, shook their heads, and resumed their guard duties.
In that same moment, unnoticed by them, as they turned away, the lock on the door mechanism rotated, and with a distinct “click,” it secured from within.
…Seizing the moment of everyone’s diverted attention, Anan discreetly moved and fastened the door's lock.
By the time the first lifeless body appeared, she was already positioned in a corner, her back turned to the assembled group.
Within her mind, Zhang Dongyao’s instruction replayed: “Count from one to thirty.”
“One…”
“Eliminate them!”
The senior management members began to draw their firearms, while Yao Haidong immediately activated his Superpower.
However, just as he was about to make his move, two piercing screams erupted near the young woman.
Midway through violent spasms, the girl withdrew her blood-drenched hands from their hearts, then pushed up her hat brim with fingers slick with gore.
A remarkably innocent face met their eyes, adorned with an unsettling smile.
“Every single one of you will perish today, not one will escape.”
Su Qianrou stared, dumbfounded, at the unfolding horror. Her reaction finally surfaced when one of the senior managers roughly shoved her aside and bolted towards the exit. Stumbling, she instinctively unleashed her Superpower.
A layer of frost instantly coated the floor beneath the fleeing manager’s feet, immobilizing him. The intense cold rapidly ascended, and in mere moments, his entire being was encased in solid ice.
“So this… is Ling Mo’s strategy?” Su Qianrou whispered.
“Ten…”
“Twenty…”
Xia Na moved like a predator among prey, each swift movement claiming a life.
Despite sustaining grievous injuries, Zhang Dongyao maintained his smile, engaging in combat with a thoroughly reckless abandon.
“Thirty…”
Anan ceased her counting; the cacophony within the room had largely subsided. Only the pulsating dance track remained.
And the distressed weeping of a woman…
“No… no… please don’t kill me.” The secretary was already huddled on the floor, the compact Meeting Room now a gruesome tableau of corpses and bloodshed. As Xia Na advanced towards her, a dark wetness spread beneath her skirt, accompanied by a faint, unpleasant odor.
“Don’t…” The words barely escaped her lips before her eyes glazed over, fixed and unseeing, because Xia Na had not delivered the killing blow; someone else nearby had.
Yao Haidong released the knife from his grasp, paid no heed to the shattered Pistol, and instead fixed his gaze on Zhang Dongyao, stating, “She showed me utter disrespect.”
With both legs now broken, he finally comprehended the profound meaning reflected in Su Qianrou’s eyes.
“I had a premonition… that Ling Mo would one day become Falcon’s greatest adversary. I truly did,” Yao Haidong murmured, shaking his head. “I should have eliminated you earlier, sparing no expense. While the zombies pose a significant threat, you represent an even greater crisis for Falcon. Alas… it is now too late. May I have a word with Ling Mo? In person.”
His plea was cut short as Zhang Dongyao’s hand seized his throat.
“Your presence is offensive,” Zhang Dongyao stated with a chilling smile before snapping his neck.
As Yao Haidong’s lifeless body crumpled to the ground, Zhang Dongyao turned his gaze towards Su Qianrou.
“How long had he been orchestrating this…?” Su Qianrou’s face was still streaked with blood. In truth, aside from flash-freezing one individual and the main entrance, she had remained largely idle, stunned by the events. However, the efficiency of these two individuals… their methods of execution were deeply unsettling.
Clinical, rapid, and entirely unarmed… All combatants were neutralized in a mere thirty seconds.
Everyone…
Except for her…
So, this was the strategy Ling Mo had alluded to… a method that wouldn’t arouse suspicion?
“He is quite remarkable,” Su Qianrou commented.
“The squirrel facilitated our access to the local network. A video will soon be disseminated across Falcon. Will you assist us?” Zhang Dongyao inquired.
Understood… Su Qianrou drew a slow, steadying breath and gradually rose to her feet.
By the time she lifted her head again, all traces of her previous shock had vanished from her expression.
Only the resolute demeanor of a Chief of Staff remained: “Consider it done.”
