Yuan and his companions arrive at the Lionheart Empire's capital to find it in disarray. They learn that angels have been attacking civilians and demanding Yuan's whereabouts. Emperor Philip was severely injured when he refused to cooperate. After reuniting with Valeria's family, Yuan examines the Emperor and assures them he will recover. Yuan then reveals his intention to confront the "gods" at High Heaven the next day, leading several of his companions to join him. Meanwhile, Vanessa and others decide to stay behind.

"So... that’s the so-called High Heaven..." Long Yuyan muttered as the enormous floating island came into view.

Its sheer size was overwhelming.

It was so vast that it resembled an entire continent rather than a single island.

"This is definitely the Holy Land of the Earth Immortal Sect," she said with a bright smile after recognizing it. "I still remember what it looked like. There’s no way I could be mistaken."

Hearing those words, a smile appeared on Yuan’s face, as though a heavy burden had finally been lifted from his shoulders.

"So this really is the same place..." he murmured.

He then looked toward the floating island with a determined gaze.

"Let’s reclaim it from those pathetic so-called gods."

His voice was filled with anticipation.

"Everyone, prepare yourselves."

"I’m certain they’ll surround us from every direction the moment we arrive."

Anna Grace and the others nodded as they readied themselves for the battle that awaited them.

Before long, they drew close enough to see the angels guarding the floating island.

At the center of a vast lake stood a magnificent city filled with towering marble buildings.

A grand palace rose proudly at its heart.

"Yuan," Long Yuyan called, pointing toward a towering mountain range in the distance. "Take a look over there with your Divine Sense."

Only after looking carefully did Yuan realize it wasn’t a single mountain.

It was a cluster of five towering peaks.

The moment he extended his Divine Sense, he immediately sensed something unusual.

As he probed deeper, he discovered multiple array formations surrounding the mountains.

The formations were so powerful that they blocked his Divine Sense completely.

Realizing that probing further might trigger their defensive mechanisms, Yuan immediately withdrew his Divine Sense.

"How many layers of formations are protecting those mountains?" Yuan asked, astonishment evident on his face.

"I can sense seven layers," Long Yuyan replied with a serious expression.

"And every one of them is at least a Tier Seven Array Formation."

She paused before asking,

"Were those formations already there before you were sealed inside the Earth Immortal Sect’s treasury?"

"No," Long Yuyan answered, shaking her head.

"They weren’t there."

"The only place protected by powerful formations back then was the Holy Land located at the center of those five mountains."

"It has always been the most heavily guarded place in the entire Earth Immortal Sect."

’So someone installed those formations after the Earth Immortal Sect was destroyed...’

Yuan frowned.

’But why? What could their motive be?’

In the end, there was little point dwelling on it.

The sect had been destroyed tens of thousands of years ago.

A moment later, everyone sensed countless powerful auras rising from the city below.

"It seems they’ve finally noticed us," Valeria said with a broad grin as she tightened her grip on her sword.

"They’re a little late."

Within seconds, thousands of angels surrounded Yuan’s group from every direction, all of them pointing their weapons at the intruders.

"Blasphemy!"

One of the angels, who appeared to be their commander, stepped forward and shouted,

"How dare mere mortals trespass upon the sacred land of the gods!"

His gaze then shifted toward Nerith, Isolde, and Lilith.

His expression immediately darkened with disgust.

"You even dared to bring impure beings into this sacred place..."

"How bold."

"No... your crime is far greater than simple trespassing."

He slowly raised his golden spear and pointed it directly at Yuan.

"For your countless sins..."

"You shall all be executed."

His voice echoed through the sky, overflowing with hatred toward Yuan and his companions.

Before the angels could make a move, Selvariel stepped forward and stood between them and Yuan’s group.

Her sudden appearance left every angel frozen in shock.

"L-Lady Selvariel... Is that really you?" one of the angels muttered in disbelief.

The rest of the angels were equally stunned.

Standing before them was Selvariel—one of the most powerful Battle Angels, who had once served directly under the Goddess of Light and Justice, one of the Ancient Gods.

"If it’s not me, then who else would it be?" Selvariel replied coldly, her voice filled with disdain.

"But... how?" another angel asked, still unable to believe his own eyes. "Weren’t you declared missing along with Lord Valtheriel?"

"Missing?" Selvariel let out a cold scoff.

"Valtheriel died a long time ago."

"As for me, I didn’t disappear of my own free will."

"D-Dead?!" another angel exclaimed. "Impossible! Lord Valtheriel couldn’t have died so easily! He was one of the strongest Battle Angels serving the gods!"

"Enough," Selvariel interrupted, her expression growing even colder.

"He’s dead."

"Whether you choose to believe it or not changes nothing."

Her sharp gaze swept across the thousands of angels before her.

"What matters now is this."

"Lower your weapons and stand down immediately... unless you wish to share Valtheriel’s fate."

"And I won’t repeat myself."

"If you value your lives, abandon the gods and stop opposing us."

"Their fate has already been sealed."

Her voice echoed across the heavens like rolling thunder, shaking the hearts of every angel present.

"L-Lady Selvariel... what are you saying?"

"Don’t tell me you’ve sided with those intruders!"

"Are you rebelling against our Lord... our savior?"

"T-This is blasphemy!"

Shocked cries erupted throughout the sky.

Every angel stared at Selvariel in utter disbelief.

To them, her words were nothing short of heresy.

They simply couldn’t accept that one of the mightiest Battle Angels had turned against the very gods she had once served.

In their eyes, the gods were the supreme rulers of the world.

Their every command was absolute.

Without saying another word, Selvariel released the full power of her Spirit Warrior cultivation.

A powerful pressure spread across the battlefield, making the surrounding angels struggle to breathe.

"W-What is this terrifying pressure...?!"

A chill ran down their spines as the oppressive aura weighed heavily upon their bodies, causing even their souls to tremble.

However, Selvariel’s cultivation was still too low to completely overwhelm them.

After a few moments, they gradually steadied themselves and resisted the pressure.

’I need to focus on my cultivation more seriously from now on...’

Selvariel clenched her fists.

’I used my full strength, yet it still wasn’t enough to force them into submission.’

Just then, Yuan stepped forward with a calm smile.

"You should listen to her."

"Otherwise... you’ll die."

The instant those words left his mouth, Yuan released his cultivation.

An unfathomable pressure descended upon the battlefield.

The angels’ expressions changed dramatically.

They could no longer remain airborne.

Boom!!

Thousands of angels were slammed into the ground simultaneously.

The earth trembled violently beneath the impact.

Pinned to the ground by the overwhelming pressure, their bodies twitched in agony as though an enormous mountain had crashed down upon them.

Meanwhile, deep within the High Heaven, the gods suddenly became restless as an overwhelming pressure enveloped the entire city.

Every god present was shocked by the sudden surge of power.

"Who is releasing such an overwhelming aura? Has His Majesty broken through to an even higher realm?"

"His Majesty is already the strongest god in the world. I can’t imagine him becoming even more powerful."

"Wait..." another god suddenly muttered, his expression changing.

"This pressure... this aura..."

"It’s coming from outside the city."

"And it doesn’t belong to His Majesty."

The realization struck them like a bolt of lightning.

Their expressions immediately turned grim.

At that moment, an angel came flying toward them with a terrified expression before landing in front of the gathering.

"Mariela, what’s wrong?" one of the gods asked, frowning. "What happened? And who is releasing this terrifying pressure?"

"H-Humans and demons..." the angel shouted, his voice trembling with fear.

"They’ve invaded our Divine Land!"

"What?!"

Every god present stared at the angel in disbelief.

"And... Lady Selvariel has betrayed us and joined forces with the humans and demons!"

The gods had barely begun processing the first piece of news before an even greater shock struck them.

An angel...

One of their own...

Had betrayed the gods.

For a moment, complete silence fell over the gathering.

"T-This... this is a disaster!"

"Go! Inform His Majesty immediately!" one of the gods roared.

The angel nodded frantically before flying toward the Divine Sanctuary—the palace of the God King, ruler of the High Heaven.

"Mobilize every available force!" another god ordered.

"This is a full-scale invasion!"

"And notify the Ancient Gods at once!"

The remaining gods immediately scattered to carry out their orders, preparing to confront the enemies who had dared invade the High Heaven.

Meanwhile, outside the city...

The angels slowly struggled to their feet after Yuan withdrew his overwhelming aura.

Every one of them looked humiliated.

Never in their lives had they experienced such absolute suppression.

"So," Yuan said calmly as he looked at them, "have you made your decision?"

"Will you surrender... or fight?"

"The choice is yours."

"But remember this."

"If you choose the latter, your entire race may disappear from this world."

The angels felt utterly powerless before him.

Never before had they encountered someone whose mere presence made their souls tremble.

"Hmph!"

"We are the chosen servants of our Lord," one angel declared defiantly.

"We will never surrender to the likes of you!"

"You—" Selvariel began angrily, only for Yuan to raise a hand, stopping her.

"That’s right!" another angel shouted with an arrogant grin.

"Don’t underestimate us!"

"Our gods will arrive here soon."

"When that happens, it will be all of you begging for mercy!"

"I see..." Yuan replied with a faint smile.

His calm reaction only confused the angels.

"I was originally planning to visit each of them personally and kill them in the comfort of their own homes."

"But it seems they’re coming to me instead."

The smile on Yuan’s face slowly widened.

"That saves us quite a bit of time."
