MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 987: Galactical Revisitation

Previously on MIGHT AS WELL BE OP...
Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos watched in anguish as his rare friend Lucian Darkheart succumbed to death after their fierce battle, his vitality and Mana Rank fading into oblivion. Determined to defy fate, Aaaninja unleashed his Causal Nexus Control skill, manipulating causality at great personal cost—his body ravaged by blood and agony—but the effort failed against an unknown, overwhelming backlash. Turning to the sentient River Of Time for aid, he received its guidance to prioritize only Lucian's survival, forgoing restoration of his powers and injuries, as the river flooded him with unfathomable temporal energies, evolving his Eyes Of Genesis in synchronization with eternity.

Aaaninja's voice ripped across the Arcanis Galaxy;

Right as those words escaped his mouth, the Galaxy burst apart in a devastating surge of apocalyptic force and savage eruptions; entire solar systems vanished into oblivion, worlds were obliterated leaving no traces behind, the emptiness twisted into chaotic whirlpools, celestial bodies like suns and stars were extinguished and erased as if they had never shone.

The core of the Arcanis Galaxy trembled in ancient terror, fractured beneath unbearable strain, and then exploded inward in a frenzied collapse that ripped apart all and sundry at once, folding dimensions of existence in manners that challenged standard cosmic logic.

The Arcanis Galaxy was completely annihilated, along with every single thing that had ever filled its vast reaches. Even the Spirit King fell victim; timeless entities hidden in secret realms were wiped away before they could react or grasp the chaos. Now, just six souls lingered from the former vastness of the Arcanis Galaxy.

Klaus and his spouse Amara stood unharmed, their immense strength allowing them to endure a full galactic detonation without a mark. Their child Vega was perfectly guarded by their protective embrace. Anthony existed as a bizarre outlier on a wholly separate plane, guided by rules beyond normal measures. Lastly, Aaaninja and Lucian endured.

These six drifted through the scant remnants of the once-majestic Arcanis Galaxy, after Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos had obliterated it by tapping into a strength that barely belonged in this level of the Universe.

Yet in this instant, Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos was no longer the familiar figure they recognized. He hovered like the very Sovereign Of Time, his aura defying all grasp.

His mouth opened again, and his tone resonated, strangely reverberating across the barren emptiness.

When those words emerged from him, mana neither twisted nor reacted, since Authority demanded no mana. It operated independent of energy. This was a realm of might that no mana or power source could control or sway. It thrived solely on insight, mastery, and command over core concepts. And none held deeper insight into time than the River Of Time itself, which poured its endless wisdom directly into Aaaninja without pause.

Once that Authority activated, the void flickered. Rules, structure, and genesis clicked back into position like reality had only slipped for a heartbeat. The obliterated Arcanis Galaxy reformed, not bit by bit or via building, but through Aaaninja yanking an earlier version of the Arcanis Galaxy from a set moment in history and overlaying it onto now. He didn't reconstruct it; he reset it.

His power reached such heights in that precise instant.

Life bloomed anew. Energy surged across the Galaxy. Stars flared back to brilliance, suns blazed once more, moons reshaped, planets slid into their exact paths as if no catastrophe had struck. All that perished was revived under Aaaninja’s rule over time.

Aaaninja, Lucian, and the rest materialized smoothly inside the revived Galaxy. Victims of the earlier doom stayed blissfully unaware, their thoughts and perceptions never catching the destruction or its undo; for them, continuity had never broken.

The River Of Time, appearing overhead as a massive golden entity, faded swiftly. The giant eye above splintered into Temporal Motes then scattered away, as the River Of Time retreated from the Arcanis Galaxy, slipping out of sight entirely.

The staggering might and unfathomable wisdom Aaaninja had commanded disappeared as suddenly as it came. He reverted to his baseline form, no longer bolstered by ancient time-based rule. In the blink after, he dropped to his knees, drained beyond measure.

His gaze turned to Lucian, and soon a subtle grin touched his face as he saw the backlash stopped. Lucian lived. Still, he lingered as a diminished shell of his former self, his Mana Rank forever capped at SSS+ Rank.

Despite this epic feat, Aaaninja’s chest clenched in sharp sorrow. He preserved Lucian’s life but failed full recovery. The River Of Time warned it couldn't lift him back to his prior height, the backlash devouring all. This went beyond mere time reversal or state rollback. A superior power meddled, outstripping Temporal Authority.

In rescuing Lucian Darkheart, Aaaninja first razed the Arcanis Galaxy containing him. With the Galaxy's total end, the backlash deemed Lucian gone and faded. Only then did Aaaninja summon the Galaxy from history, dodging the backlash's remnants via clever paradox play.

Aaaninja felt little worry over Lucian’s frail body. They could mend his looks; plenty of items and relics served that, like the Water Of Life or the Sap Of The World Tree.

Lucian still couldn't muster words or gratitude toward Aaaninja, his weakness too profound, though he knew every detail of events. His awareness stayed keen amid the debility.

Before Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos uttered a word or moved further, a pale flash appeared at his back. No turn needed to identify the intruder. The silver hair and sharp blue stare were unique, matched by a striking visage no one else could match.

Null Anthony.

"Rest well, you have tried. I will take it from here, my friend," Anthony’s voice murmured gently in Aaaninja’s mind. A soft smile crossed Aaaninja’s face. He lacked knowledge of Anthony’s plan, yet trusted his capability. With that comfort, he blacked out right there, mental fatigue overwhelming him after such a universe-shaking feat.

Anthony’s All Seeing Eyes fixed on Lucian Darkheart. He let out a breath and gave a small head shake. For Anthony, fixing it proved remarkably straightforward.

His mouth moved as he declared;

Existence and reality wove into complex strands in his sight, chains of cause and effect peeling open before him. Anthony required no effort. He merely looked at Lucian, his azure eyes pinning the backlash strand clinging to Lucian like a leeching cord.

With a mere mental flick, Anthony broke the strand apart. It evaporated at once. The world steadied in his view, its woven strands merging back into solid form.

Moments later, Lucian sensed a known rush of power. His life force roared through his veins. His pulse thundered in his torso. His weakened build vanished as youth reclaimed him, silver locks shifting to ebony on the spot.

Mana whirled about him in a storm of growing intensity as his Mana Rank climbed, breaking barrier after barrier until reclaiming its top tier. His abilities sparked alive in his consciousness and essence as he reforged his deep links to them. His system restarted without hitch, syncing perfectly once more.

And thus, Lucian Darkheart’s eyes snapped wide. His dark stare landed on Anthony and the unconscious Aaaninja drifting nearby.

Lucian Darkheart stood fully rescued, body and soul, thanks to the united work of his sole companions, Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos and Null Anthony.
