Six Above disciples died in the Sleeping Hollow, prompting Null Nathaniel and the Core Elders to discuss compensation and how to handle the situation. Nathaniel also foresees a surge in applications to the Null Sect due to their rising prestige, warning that spies from ancient organizations will likely infiltrate the sect. They plan to use Anthony's power or their own methods to identify and deal with these infiltrators.

Outside the Sect Master hall where the Core Elders gathered, Anthony, Chu Feng, Jerry, Lora Vake, and Tory Hale were standing on the ground, as Anthony had already erased the airship with a thought. They stood before the building as they discussed amongst themselves in low tones so as not to disturb the others.

"What do you think the Fifth Core Elder is telling the Sect Master?"

Jerry asked as he stared at the huge doors.

Lora Vake didn’t even turn to him as she replied with her gaze fixed ahead.

"Isn’t it obvious? She is informing the Sect Master of everything that happened since the day of our departure, even our sleep schedule and the likes."

Her tone was flat as she stood with her arms crossed against her chest.

Jerry gave a small smile; he was simply asking an innocent question.

"Not only that."

Anthony’s voice echoed through the air, drawing attention to himself.

As they stared at him, Anthony proceeded to speak in a revealing tone.

"The most important question or information isn’t about what happened since the day we came back till we returned. It’s the question of whether any of you were possessed and taken over by someone or something from The Lover Of Death’s Inheritance Realm."

Anthony stated this, as he had seen Chaos Betroth reading each of them from the moment they stepped out from the Inheritance Realm. Even when they returned to the Inn from the skirmish with the Eternal Apexes and the rest, she didn’t stop reading them for a moment, stopping only when she entered her training chamber.

Anthony’s words left them stunned for a moment. Although they had all expected and anticipated that some Old Man or Old Woman would try taking over their bodies, they didn’t know that the Fifth Core Elder was reading them.

"Well... I guess that is understandable."

Chu Feng stated with a flat expression. At his words, everyone nodded their heads, although a voice echoed in the background of their thoughts and minds with a singular question: was any of them possessed?

"Well... no need to worry. None of you are possessed or anything of the sort. If you guys were, I would have known and killed whoever was pulling such stunts."

Anthony followed up as he could read their thoughts from their eyes and facial expressions. He had to keep them calm and not allow them to doubt each other.

Chu Feng’s lips twitched. He felt like he was somehow targeted by Anthony’s words despite Anthony not addressing him specifically. But he said nothing. What could he possibly say to someone who could see through his Master’s Soul Manifestation Technique?

At Anthony’s words, Lora Vake, Tory Hale, and Jerry heaved an internal sigh of relief. It would be bad news if any of them had anything latched onto their bodies or souls.

Tory Hale decided to change the topic, speaking on something else, but still related.

"After entering and leaving an Inheritance Realm, I would have suggested we compare our rewards and gains, but with Anthony’s ridiculous treasures from The Lover Of Death’s Vault, it won’t be interesting."

He sighed as he spoke, as Anthony’s immense treasure had defeated the entire purpose of showing off.

Anthony turned his sky-blue eyes towards Tory Hale as he replied with a smirk on his face.

"You only say it’s not interesting because your reward pales to mine. If yours were better, I’m sure you would have been looking forward to showing off."

At Anthony’s words, Tory Hale remained silent, not replying to anything, as he knew Anthony was stating the truth.

Anthony turned his gaze away from Tory Hale as he continued in a calm tone.

"Besides, the most interesting thing is you and Chu Feng fighting for Rank 1 on the Above disciples ranking, after all, that ranking also determines the resources you guys receive."

A smirk appeared on his lips as he spoke. It was going to be quite a sight, and he was ready to watch the battle unfold.

At Anthony’s words, both Chu Feng and Tory Hale froze for a moment. Instinctively, they looked at each other as they recognized the challenge the other posed, after all, they had both been hiding their strength till now.

"I guess I will be falling to Rank 3."

Lora Vake couldn’t help but speak, as she had been at the second rank till now, and for a couple of years, but now she was about to lose her rank.

Jerry didn’t even talk; his lips twitched. He was the weakest here, what could he possibly do or say?

The next moment, Chu Feng seemed to remember something. He turned to Anthony as he spoke.

"Why are you talking like you aren’t an Above disciple like us? You will be Rank 1, unless you have another plan you aren’t telling us."

At that moment, it dawned on everyone and Anthony himself that Anthony was indeed an Above disciple like them.

Anthony stood in silence for a moment. He had only spent a couple of months as an Above disciple, so he had even forgotten he was one to begin with.

"Ahem! I’m stronger than all of you combined. Why should I bother about the ranking? Me taking the First Rank is simply taking away the rank that would provide valuable resources to you people who need them."

He cleared his throat as he spoke like he had thought of this from the beginning.

The others looked at him for a moment, not knowing what to say, as what he had said made complete sense. He was stronger than all of them; why should he care about the ranking?

After a moment of silence, Jerry, who had been silent, spoke in a calm tone.

"Well, it’s not like you guys would be fighting immediately. You guys would need to enter seclusion and digest your gains from the battle, then also spend your contribution points on various resources like Law Notes and Law Lands and the likes. So, you all have to do this before you officially fight anyway."

His tone was calm as he had thought about it. Whoever fought now and won didn’t really win. Months of personal training would determine who was truly the strongest amongst them.

And as for him, Jerry, he could only watch these three fight it out.
