As the battle against the Shadow Soldiers began, Chu Feng, Tory Hale, and Lora Vake unleashed their full power. Chu Feng's mastery of time allowed him to swiftly eliminate opponents, while Tory Hale demonstrated incredible speed and skill with multiple Laws, even using illusions to his advantage. Lora Vake showcased her talent with the Law of Metal, though she was forced to retreat from a powerful meteor attack. The Above disciples fought bravely, proving their strength against the enemy.

Anthony remained on the deck of his airship; he didn’t move. He simply folded his hands across his chest as he watched the scene with a smile across his face. He was happy that the four Above disciples had gotten over their fear and decided to take the stage, and at this very moment, each of them shone with absolute brilliance.

After today, after this battlefield, the entire Hellinder Realm would come to know their names.

’Is this how various masters feel when they watch their disciples grow stronger and stronger?’

He thought to himself as he stood with a smile on his face.

’No wonder they love taking in only geniuses,’ he mused.

But although the Above disciples and Chaos Betroth were going rampant at this moment, it wouldn’t be the case forever. The numbers were against them; they couldn’t win against thousands, let alone millions. But Anthony wasn’t bothered. That was what the personal Shadow Soldier bodyguard he had assigned was for: to ensure each of them came back alive.

And as for the thought of Beru, Igris, Bellion, and George failing in their work, the thought never crossed his mind. It wasn’t a possibility Anthony considered, as these people had been with him right from the moment he took his very first step on the path of cultivation.

As he watched the scene and enjoyed the sight, so did the Eternal Apexes that floated above. Although they watched their disciples get slaughtered, none of them interfered. After all, it was a tactical, unspoken understanding that matters of the younger generation should be left to the younger generation.

Although that understanding could be broken easily at any moment, given the unique nature of the current events, what was the use of saving useless disciples who couldn’t even kill just four disciples from a random sect like the Null Sect?

Most of them didn’t even know these disciples until just about two weeks ago, when their various Organizations assigned them the duty of guiding them to the River Of Night Territory.

And yes, they had already investigated the Null Sect just a couple of hours ago. They weren’t stupid enough to take on an opponent without first investigating them when they had ample time to do so.

The Eternal Apexes’ eyes snapped towards Anthony; they stared at him with calm expressions on their faces. Yes, Anthony was among the Young Generation, and according to the information they had received, this guy had just ascended, and now he possessed such staggering power.

Although they hadn’t seen Anthony display any power that scaled to their level of force, as even the six Assassins Anthony had fought yesterday night were too weak, they had been able to guess that Anthony possessed Eternal Apex-level power without even stepping into that rank, given that he had withstood their combined presence with a smile on his face.

So, just like Nature’s Savant, they wanted to know what made this Human Ascendant possess the power of an Eternal Apex after just ascending barely a month ago. Although they still wanted The Lover Of Death’s treasures, at the moment, that had become a second priority for them. After all, the treasure The Lover Of Death had might only be connected to the Law Of Death.

So, this Human child’s secret by the name of Anthony was much more appealing.

Anthony, seeing their eyes, floated upwards, the airship beneath his feet vanishing as it turned into motes of light. As he floated to their level in the air, he came to a stop, his smile still on his face.

As Anthony came to a stop, he clasped his hands behind his back and watched as he spoke as though he was a man who had lived for over a million years like some of them.

"You know what’s funny about all of this?"

Anthony asked with a calm tone, his eyes moving from the Eternal Apexes to the battle happening below as people of the Null Sect were charged at like ants to sugar.

Although the Eternal Apexes didn’t reply, Anthony still answered the question, as it had been rhetorical.

"It’s the fact that it’s my birthday today."

He paused for a moment, then continued with a pleased expression on his face.

"I turn twenty-one today, and having you all gather to celebrate it with me is all I could ask for."

He shook his head as he spoke.

"And I would have it no other way."

He seemed happy, but whether he was happy that it was now his birthday or happy at the battle that was to come, none of the Eternal Apexes knew.

At Anthony’s words, the Eternal Apexes were extremely speechless. Yes, they had guessed that Anthony was extremely young, but him being twenty and becoming twenty-one today was even more outrageous. They couldn’t help but wonder what they were doing when they were twenty-one years old.

Probably fighting bandits and the likes, and not taking on Eternal Apexes.

Anthony couldn’t help but become a bit melancholic for a moment. He wasn’t lying when he said he was turning twenty-one today; it was indeed his birthday, and he wasn’t spending it with his girlfriend or his family. Although he could have just stayed at the inn, left a clone behind, and spent the day with Vega, he didn’t.

A birthday was just a birthday. It came every year, and with his current lifespan, he had billions of birthdays to celebrate, so there was nothing wrong with not spending a birthday with Vega. Although he understood that this was supposed to be his first birthday with his girlfriend, he also understood that Vega might be expecting him, since she also knew today was his birthday.

’Unless time flows differently for the Upper Galaxy she is in.’

Anthony thought to himself, not exactly sure. After all, Vega was in a different Galaxy altogether; his birthday in their own time might have been yesterday or maybe tomorrow.

As Anthony was lost in thought, a voice came from the side. It was a woman who spoke, a Higher One.

"As a fellow Ascendant, how about I give you a gift?"

She stated, a smile on her face as she simply stared at Anthony without warmth in her eyes.

She was a woman of the Zombie race, but she didn’t give off any smell of decay, nor was she brainless and wanted to chew on the nearest person next to her. Although deep down, she hungered for any part of Anthony’s body, especially his brain, as even though she could change her external appearance as a Zombie, she could never change her instincts.

Anthony arched an eyebrow, then spoke in an appreciative tone, expecting nothing at all from his Zombie woman.

"How does death for a gift sound?"

The Zombie woman asked as a grin spread across her face, her black teeth showing as her madness rose to the surface, her entire demeanor changing.

At her words and display, the other Eternal Apexes began to ready themselves to move. Although they believed that all of them making a move against Anthony was overkill, they didn’t care.

A tiger would use all its power to kill a mere bunny if the bunny had what the tiger wanted.

That was simply the way of life.
