Anthony battled Queen Yuvak, who sentenced him to life imprisonment. Despite her attacks and the Merfolk's immortality, Anthony proved too strong, overpowering Yuvak repeatedly. Even after being sliced apart, she regenerated due to a powerful blessing, prompting Anthony to escalate his assault.

"MY QUEEN!!!" The Merfolk screamed as they raced through the water and rushed towards their Queen.

This was the first time they were seeing their Queen like this, after all, she had always suppressed invaders from the outside world and come out victorious every time. Seeing her in danger, they rushed to protect her, even when they knew she couldn’t exactly die.

Anthony didn’t attack anymore, he simply stared at these Merfolk with a small smile as they surrounded Queen Yuvak, their presence immense as they were ready to attack at any time.

Queen Yuvak stared at Anthony with nothing but coldness in her eyes, but she dared not make any move. Although she hadn’t used all her abilities, she dared not believe her opponent had also used all his cards. Anthony’s eyes shifted towards the golden trident in her hand, then he shook his head.

He didn’t have time to exchange words with these people, so he simply turned around and swam away as he raced towards the building where he had met Queen Yuvak. Reaching the building, he swam to the same top floor. Against the wall of the room was a huge shelf. Anthony didn’t waste his time pulling or pushing it, he simply phased through it as he appeared behind a hidden compartment.

The moment Anthony entered, he looked around. He appeared to have entered a short hallway of some sort. He didn’t stand around, he simply walked forward, various flame torches hanging on the walls and illuminating the path ahead.

Anthony heard the mechanical shelf compartment outside open, his senses picking up Queen Yuvak, but he didn’t bother with her anymore. If she continued being stubborn, then he would truly kill her despite her low-budget resurrection ability or whatever that was.

He came to a stop before an open space, and within this space was a long purple Trident that seemed very ancient. Just by looking at it, Anthony knew that this purple Trident was a weapon at the Genesis Grade, and not just some randomly created Genesis Grade weapon. After all, even amongst weapons and artifacts, some were still more powerful than others.

The purple Trident floated in the air, bound by various chains that were linked to the walls as though stopping it from escaping.

Anthony turned his head slightly as Queen Yuvak could be seen standing behind him and just staring, as she was now in her Human form. She didn’t speak, she didn’t rant or try to stop him, she just watched as though expecting something to happen.

Anthony immediately touched the Trident, the moment he did, he felt a force invade his consciousness and pull him to another place. Anthony opened his eyes, his gaze landing on what seemed to be still water below him, which he stood upon. Above him were moving white clouds as everywhere seemed serene.

"Human," a voice echoed through space, "what are you doing here? The Trident Of Dawn isn’t meant to fall into or be touched by Human hands. Leave or die," the voice stated in finality.

Anthony stood in silence, his head turned to the side as he tried to follow the voice, but there was no one here. But Anthony wasn’t one to go around playing hide-and-seek with unknown people.

"I choose death," he stated in an indifferent tone as, the next moment, his Thought Conception activated. At that moment, the owner of the voice appeared before him, kneeling.

Anthony’s eyes fell on the being kneeling before him, it was another Merfolk, a Merman to be specific. Just by looking at him, Anthony didn’t need to guess to know that this man was probably the last wielder of the Trident Of Dawn, but had sealed his soul here so that maybe, when someone of the next generation came, he would either take over their body or deem them not qualified.

"I don’t know why the dead and old don’t like staying dead," Anthony spoke aloud.

The man immediately frowned at Anthony’s words as he understood that he had been seen through. He tried to speak, but he couldn’t, as Anthony didn’t have time to listen to some old man speak. Authority Of Severance activated the next moment, and with the pull of a single thread, the man’s soul instantly exploded into motes of grey light.

The soul of an Eternal Apex was destroyed like it was nothing, and with the death of the owner of the realm, the realm itself collapsed and vanished. Anthony’s consciousness flickered back into reality, his sky-blue eyes shifting towards Queen Yuvak, who was frozen in place by Infinity as her golden trident tried to bypass it and stab through his brain.

Seeing Anthony turn towards her, she immediately blurred backwards, her hand tightening around her trident, as a look of shock could be seen on her face.

"How did you survive?" she asked as her surprise turned into a frown.

Of course, she knew what was within the purple ancient Trident, it was why she never tried to use it despite being the current ruler of the Merfolk, as all who had tried had died. Although she was sure that Anthony was going to die too, she decided to actualize that fact with her own hands rather than wait for the schemer within the Trident to act.

Anthony didn’t reply, his attention turned towards the Trident and, with a gentle pull, the chains shattered as he pulled the Trident free. Before Queen Yuvak could even speak, the Trident vanished into Anthony’s system inventory.

Anthony turned around to leave, not bothering to spare Queen Yuvak a glance. She could only stand there, rooted to the spot as she couldn’t believe what she had just witnessed. She clenched her fist, the Trident Of Dawn was an ancient treasure passed down from the very first Ruler until now, something their race had protected through countless generations.

Although their race had declined and submitted to The Lover Of Death to ensure their survival and the return of their race to the top, it didn’t mean she would just watch someone walk away with something that had been passed down for generations.

She would rather die than watch that happen, well, she couldn’t, so she would stall her enemy for as long as possible, even if their battle lasted years. She spun on her feet and raced towards Anthony, who had stepped into her office chamber.

Anthony stared at the Merfolk who were staring at him and simply moved to swim away. But before he could even move, Queen Yuvak’s voice came from behind.

"Human, we cannot allow you to walk away with the treasure of our ancestors," she stated, her voice hardening as determination burned fiercely in her eyes.

Hearing her words, the remaining Merfolk frowned as they understood what Anthony had done, and they surrounded him again, completely unafraid of death.

Anthony sighed as he spoke, "You know... it’s been a while since I fought an enemy and let them live, but I spared you people because I was the one invading your City," he stated. He turned and gazed at Queen Yuvak as he stated in finality, "but it seems you all think the power of your so-called Master is what is keeping you alive."
