MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 1005: Quantum Manipulation Versus Omniedit

Previously on MIGHT AS WELL BE OP...
In a fierce sparring match, Anthony overwhelmed Aura Nova with a torrent of precise sword strikes, recognizing her innovative internal Sword Intent enhancement but deeming it insufficient against his superior speed and power. Despite her illusions, velocity, and rapid regeneration from severe wounds including a severed arm, Aura Nova struggled to keep pace as Anthony's deceptive maneuvers dislocated her jaw and later severed both her hands. Teleporting away after her tactical sword throw failed, she confronted the vast gap in their abilities, while Anthony, relying solely on his natural perception, acknowledged her intelligent strategy yet remained untouched.

Aura Nova stayed quiet for a brief instant. In the following second, her cut-off hands grew back perfectly, with skin and skeleton knitting together flawlessly, but she stayed still. She had already grasped the truth facing her; any attempt at hand-to-hand fighting against Anthony proved utterly pointless.

Her skills with the sword? Even if she wouldn't say it out loud easily, she no longer felt sure she could harm Anthony using them. After all, Anthony excelled in straightforward swordplay. Just his command of Sword Intent overwhelmed everything, honed to an extreme that felt almost dictatorial. And it seemed very probable that his self-invented sword moves were far from ordinary either.

That gave her just a single workable choice, her inborn power; Omniedit.

"Finished so soon?" Anthony questioned in a relaxed manner. His voice stayed easygoing; he wasn't belittling her. He was just poking fun at her like he would with a good buddy. "If that's the case, then unleash your Omniedit. I'm curious if your innate ability or my unique ability comes out on top," he continued, that same relaxed grin on his face.

The unique ability he mentioned was Quantum Manipulation.

The previous occasion he'd employed that power came during his fight with a bunch of Angels, where he'd turned them into demons via total control over living forms.

Starting now, it would pit Omniedit against Quantum Manipulation.

Aura Nova gave no spoken reply. She had never been one for chatting much when her survival hung in the balance. She didn't inquire about which unique ability Anthony referred to; learning it beforehand wouldn't change the result. She could question him once their fight ended.

Saying nothing more, her mana burst from her mana core like a massive wave ready to wipe out a whole star system from the cosmic chart. It didn't just flow out, it thundered forth with devastating purpose.

Anthony only let out a quiet whistle at the spectacle, observing keenly without letting loose his own mana.

The second the order escaped her mouth, a vast amount of mana exploded from Aura Nova’s form. The atmosphere shook fiercely, like it might break apart any moment. Temperature started climbing rapidly. The lovely azure heavens shifted to a fierce red. Even space started to melt.

Next, a massive flood of consuming blasts ripped out with boundless power. The energy in that outburst could incinerate stars and rip planets apart like simple paper.

The whole isolated dimension appeared ready to fold in on itself. Space, atmosphere, noise, breeze, forests, peaks, all burst into dazzling bursts of light. Existence howled beneath the strain of the warping.

Anthony smiled broadly, sliding his katana into its sheath with fluid motion as his own mana surged from his core. His mouth opened, and his words rang out steadily over the crumbling realm.

As soon as the order sounded, his mana flooded out with insane force, seeping straight into the weave of existence.

Right away, Aura Nova’s doomsday strike stopped, curling back on itself before crumbling away. Then it disappeared completely, as if it had never been there.

The warmth faded. The red heavens returned to normal. The massive ruin reversed and vanished. It wasn't stopped. It wasn't fought off. It was undone.

Anthony had nullified her Solar Eruption without any trouble.

Yet Aura Nova wasn't done yet.

A subtle grin touched her mouth. If there was one thing she really loved, it was pushing Omniedit to its absolute limits.

Her mana throbbed once again, though now it rushed downward. It shot out from under her feet and crashed hard into the ground, digging in like it hunted the deep layers of the isolated dimension, assuming those even were there.

In the following moment, eruptions from volcanoes stretching millions of megameters blew up all at once. The power choked and destroyed everything. Streams of molten rock shot up in huge columns.

Noticing the lava ready to swallow him, Anthony jumped skyward. But as he rose, the heavens above cracked apart. A giant rift split the sky, showing the tops of countless volcanoes hanging overhead. Through that gap, seas of lava cascaded down, fiery flows that could dissolve reality.

Anthony grinned as his form turned into a streak, dodging smoothly amid the falling blaze, acting like he savored a playful spin instead of fleeing doom.

Mana burst from his core anew, wrapping around him like loyal offspring yielding to their maker. A mysterious violet force gathered in his hand. Its size grew with each tiny bit of time.

Then he launched it without holding back.

It felt like a giant gun had fired. The shot ripped through the void and broke sonic walls like brittle panes. It hurtled at Aura Nova with planet-shattering might.

Her mana churned wildly once more, but her clear blue gaze stayed fixed on the approaching force.

In that instant, the area near her flipped like twisting bits of glass. Pieces of space gathered in front of her, building a unbreakable shield that resembled a mirror. As the last piece of space locked in, Anthony’s Energy Blast smashed into it with a frenzied blast.

The nearby space quaked hard, on the brink of falling apart from the unknown power's strain. A fracture appeared on the shield, but Aura Nova quickly added more mana to it, strengthening its build. Then, the force faded as the strike ended.

With no delay, Aura Nova waved her hand forward idly. The Spatial Wall Frame charged on like a massive moving stronghold. Anthony just smirked, throwing a punch ahead loosely, like hitting junk. That one blow made the whole Spatial Wall Frame fall apart.

Not due to weakness, but since all its held power had already gone into blocking his Energy Blast. What she aimed at him was merely an empty remnant of its prior might.

Anthony flowed right into his following strike, not letting up the drive.

Space and mana quivered together. The area around Anthony’s fist split, exposing the emptiness past being. The emptiness spilled out, twisting around his limb. A huge, rotating whirlpool appeared, a gravity pit that devoured air, glow, and noise all the same.

Grinning, Anthony bounded ahead and struck. The Black Hole rushed out like a turning orb of destruction. Anywhere it went, being was wiped out completely.

Her mana surged forth with end-world fury and smashed right into the onrushing Black Hole.

Existence twisted savagely, and then the Black Hole broke into countless tiny, glowing blue butterflies. They drifted up to the heavens, safe and nearly pretty.

Aura Nova skipped taking time to look at her work, shifting straight to her next order.

Existence flickered near her shape, and then from her very form, hundreds of duplicates burst out. They encircled Anthony fully. Every duplicate had the same feel, same energy, same mana mark, as if each was the true one.

All of them voiced together, their tones blending into one echoing harmony. Their mana burst out at the same time. In the instant after, shining light lashes appeared in their grips. They whipped ahead, encircling Anthony’s whole frame, his sight, skull, limbs, torso, midsection, binding him all over. Restraining power flowed through the lashes, trying to lock him down completely.

But it proved useless.

As the order rang out, every bit in the isolated dimension seemed to halt, then they detonated. A massive wave of destruction and being-erasure poured out. Aura Nova’s duplicates blew up from within, powerless to protect themselves. Their shapes broke down right away.

The restraining lashes fell into void.

As for the actual Aura Nova, the blast from Particle Disruption flung her back hard. Her own strikes turned to nothing, while Anthony remained unharmed at the center, Untouched.

Her form spun in the air as she steadied, floating way up high.

Anthony raised his sight to the heavens.

Their gazes locked.

Fighting spirit flared between them again, reaching its max as they looked at each other over the broken stretch of the isolated dimension.

The real showdown had barely started.
