Mech: Shattering of the Galaxy Chapter 1577 - 93: Preparing to Relocate

The triumphant shouts of the White Armor Clan echoed skyward. Under the flickering torchlight, and bathed in the crowd’s reverent gazes, Mu Fan carried the girl into the White Armor Tribe’s village. Rough, stake-like dwellings came into view. Sharply pointed wooden pillars stood haphazardly in clusters, with gray-white tents scattered about, exuding a raw, powerful beauty. Some young children cautiously approached, their eyes wide with curiosity as they observed their teacher sister being held by a handsome big brother.
"Teacher sister looks so happy."
"It’s the first time I’ve seen sister this happy."
"But Teacher Sister... she was crying just now," a little girl named Keya chimed in adorably. At this moment, a dark, chubby boy suddenly hopped beside Keya, puffing out his chest proudly. "I’ll tell you a big secret."
"What secret?" Several little ones immediately perked up their ears, their eyes widening.
"The one holding Teacher Sister... that’s Brother Mu! I brought him back."
"Wow!" The surprised exclamations filled Enoch with elation, causing him to squint and puff out his chest. "Hahaha, I... you guys... hmph." However, when Enoch noticed from the corner of his eye that his group of friends had suddenly scampered off, he jumped up and down angrily. "Damn it, listen to me!"
"Hahaha, Enoch, take your time talking. We’re going to see Brother Mu." The innocent laughter of the children filled the air above the village, blending with the hearty, sincere laughter of the adults. Listening to the warm, friendly laughter nearby, and guided by Isaiah, who navigated them past the tribe’s defenses, Mu Fan’s vision began to encompass well-crafted, even somewhat familiar, brick and wood houses. Particularly striking was the tall tower at the far end of his sightline. He took a breath, the breeze carrying the salty scent of dried jerky.
Nuonuo felt a tickle in her ear from the wind’s gentle caress, instinctively looking up to find Mu Fan’s gaze fixed ahead. "What is it? Also... let me down. It’s not good for the children to see this." Nuonuo’s fair, smooth face flushed slightly.
"It seems you’re quite popular here; those children truly adore you. Everything I just heard were compliments directed at you," Mu Fan remarked generously.
"They call me ‘teacher.’ They are very respectful towards me." Perhaps only in Mu Fan’s presence did Nuonuo allow her childlike side to show.
"You’ve endured much," Mu Fan gazed into Nuonuo’s crescent-moon-shaped, smiling eyes.
"It’s not difficult when you are here."
...
"Why aren’t you speaking? Still looking at me..."
"You are the most pleasant to look at, and I can never get enough," Mu Fan replied without hesitation. Instantly, her face turned a bright crimson. Suddenly emboldened, Nuonuo retreated like an ostrich. Little fists rained down on Mu Fan.
"So embarrassing... but..."
"I do like it." That sweet, candy-like voice drifted through his heart. Mu Fan held the delicate darling even closer. This was Nuonuo, who had shown him the world’s kindness, her golden spirit warming Mu Fan’s formidable heart.
"Esteemed guest from afar, please enter." Isaiah’s robust figure stood before a large tent, lifting the flap. Mu Fan paused, scrutinizing the seemingly massive and imposing gray tent before stepping inside. As the curtain fell, the noise outside receded, replaced by a fragrant herbal scent filling the air. Isaiah, who had advanced with surprising vigor, suddenly slumped, sitting cross-legged on the rug. He pressed one hand to his wound, extracting herbs to replace them with fresh ones.
"Teacher Wang is a Goddess bestowed upon us by the Stars; the entire White Armor Tribe loves and respects her immensely."
"This situation must amuse you." Isaiah smiled calmly, tending to his wound with apparent indifference, though the occasional twitch in his facial muscles betrayed the immense pain he endured.
"Dear guest, we of the Bai Family speak plainly. While you are our honored guest, I fear we have limited capacity to host you."
"Please take good care of Teacher Wang." Isaiah calmly stated his intentions.
Nuonuo’s smile faded as she sensed the somber shift in the atmosphere. Unable to hold back, she inquired, "Uncle Isaiah, what is wrong?"
"The tribe will likely need to... migrate." Isaiah’s pupils briefly showed a flicker of desolation. The White Armor Tribe must finally depart from their ancestral lands. The vast prairie stretched endlessly; he now had to seek a new home for his tribespeople.
...
...
Boom, boom, boom. Massive figures charged across the plains. No grass was tall enough to conceal their towering fifteen-meter frames. The seven rhinoceros-like beasts, coated in mud, advanced like thundering armored tanks. A few shadows quietly emerged atop the giant broadleaf trees by the riverbank.
A streak of reddish-brown mud adorned the foreheads of these individuals.
Their vital areas were covered in crimson bone fragments, and they clutched spears etched with spiral patterns.
"It's the Rock Armor Giant Rhinoceroses, they have returned."
Whistle~~
A sharp whistle from the treetop sent a large flock of birds soaring from the distant thickets.
Amidst the sounds of flapping wings, the birds ascended into the night sky.
Those seven immense rhinoceroses slammed on their brakes, their momentum carving deep grooves into the earth before they finally halted.
The lead rhinoceros scanned its surroundings with a restless gaze.
Whoosh!
Four figures descended like leopards under the night sky, landing with practiced stability before the lead rhinoceros, their eyes fixed on the colossal beast.
"Only Rock Armor Giant Rhinoceroses... but where are the people?"
These rhinoceroses bore no visible battle scars or blood, appearing merely somewhat disheveled.
"One person per rhinoceros, let's handle these few rhinos. I will scout the rear."
The lead Spear-holding Warrior gave a casual instruction before heading towards the rear.
Spear-holding Warriors moved forward, positioning themselves in front of each rhinoceros.
Throughout their discussion, they barely acknowledged the rhinoceroses, completely unaware of the furious glint in the lead rhinoceros's eyes.
Moo!
Just as the lead Spear-holding Warrior was about to move past, the rhinoceros suddenly let out a roar towards the heavens.
Instantly, the air seemed to detonate.
Bang!
Splat!
One warrior was immediately crushed into a pulpy mess beneath its hooves.
