Mated to the Triplet Alphas Chapter 3: A Shocking Discovering
Previously on Mated to the Triplet Alphas...
The door was flung open, and the triplets made their grand entrance.
“I figure we should let the other guys have a turn with the girls now and then,” Lucas commented with a chuckle as they stepped inside the residence.
They had spent the entire night out at the club, enjoying themselves with their companions, and it had nearly escalated into another disagreement.
“It’s hardly our fault that the girls are drawn to us, no matter where we go,” Levi remarked, a smirk playing on his lips.
As if summoned by their arrival, the dark interior of the house seemed to glow with their radiant, golden aura.
“Keep it down, would you?” Liam whispered, playfully tossing a soda can with incredible speed towards Levi’s head.
Levi snatched the projectile out of the air without missing a beat, chuckling at his brother. “You’re losing your edge, bro,” he teased.
Liam simply rolled his eyes, and they proceeded towards their private wing.
Lucas, reaching the imposing black door marked with the insignia of three golden crowns first, grasped the handle only to halt abruptly.
“What is it?” Liam inquired, glancing over his brother’s shoulder.
“Someone’s been in here,” Lucas growled, his voice a low rumble.
Instantly, their predatory instincts kicked in. One thing was certain: they detested anyone meddling with their possessions. Their rooms were strictly off-limits, even to the majority of the household staff.
“Think they’re still inside?” Levi questioned, a low growl escaping him.
“Let’s find out!” Lucas shoved the door wide open and stepped into the corridor, his brothers following close behind.
However, the hallway was deserted. The only lingering trace within the rooms was a faint, yet unmistakable and familiar, scent.
The triplets froze simultaneously, their eyes snapping to each other.
“That scent…” Levi breathed, his voice catching.
“It’s definitely…” Liam added, his eyes wide with realization.
Lucas was the one to finally vocalize the truth. “Hazel!”
There was no mistaking her unique fragrance; she had resided with them for many years, and they knew her scent intimately.
But today, something was profoundly different. Her scent, usually so familiar, now carried an intoxicating quality, like a potent wine, hitting them with the force of a physical blow, nearly driving them into a primal frenzy.
“She is our mate,” Lucas declared, disbelief coloring his tone.
Their inner wolves stirred restlessly, straining against their control. They had to clench their fists tightly, fighting the urge to let their wolf personas surge forth and race to find Hazel, wherever she might be.
One by one, they located her room, but a shared silence fell upon them as each triplet became lost in their own contemplation.
As identical triplets, they had always considered the possibility of sharing a mate. Yet, they had never imagined it would be Hazel.
“This completely changes everything,” Levi murmured, scratching the back of his neck. “Do you think she is aware?”
Lucas gave his youngest brother an exasperated look. “Of course, she knows. Why else would she have ventured into our wing?”
“How do you suppose she’ll react to this revelation?” Liam asked softly. “Considering…”
He didn’t need to complete the thought; the unspoken words hung heavy in the air: ‘Considering how poorly we’ve treated her in the past.’
They had made her life a misery for years, albeit initially in jest. However, observing her reaction at the venue earlier, it was evident their 'jokes' had not been amusing to her at all.
Fate, it seemed, had played the cruelest trick by deeming her their mate.
“What do we do now? She’s our mate. We can’t possibly live without her,” Liam exclaimed, his voice filled with urgency.
“What if she rejects us?” Levi added, his eyes wide with apprehension.
“We will make her accept us,” Lucas stated with unwavering resolve. “She belongs to us. She is our mate now, and we will never let her go.”
Liam’s expression turned grim as well. “You’re right. She was essentially ours even before this mate bond surfaced. And now, she is ours in an even more profound way.”
“And we never relinquish what belongs to us!” Levi chimed in, his voice firm.
A shared smirk passed between them, an unspoken pact solidifying their intent: Hazel would be theirs, no matter the cost.

~ Hazel’s Perspective ~
By the following day, I was still drifting through my existence in a state of disbelief.
‘This cannot be real! There’s no way the triplets could be my mates! Surely, the Moon Goddess cannot be this heartless.’
For years, those three had been my absolute tormentors! All I ever wished for was an escape from them, a way to finally be free.
And now, fate was attempting to chain me to them for all eternity!? A tight knot formed in my throat, my heart pounding erratically.
I mechanically went through my daily chores, my mind a whirlwind of a million thoughts. My primary objective was clear:
‘I absolutely must avoid the triplets at all costs!’
I could not possibly face them today; I wasn’t prepared. Once they discovered I was their mate, their fury would be inevitable.
How could a mere maid like me be destined to be their mate? They would undoubtedly reject me. The mere thought sent waves of utter despair through my heart.
With a heavy sigh, I tightened my grip on the mop bucket and continued towards the next section of the packhouse requiring cleaning.
As I rounded a corner in the hallway, I nearly collided with someone. With a startled yelp, I stumbled back, terrified I had splashed dirty water on them.
In my position as a maid, almost everyone within the pack held a higher status than me. Such a mistake could easily earn me a severe reprimand or even physical punishment.
“I am so, so sorry!” I exclaimed, my eyes darting down to ensure no water had spilled. “It was entirely my fault. I wasn’t paying attention to where I was—”
My gaze shot upward, meeting the eyes of the very last person I wished to encounter. Jessie.
“You’re absolutely right! It’s all your fault, you wretched girl! Why weren’t you looking where you were going!?” she shrieked at me.
With a weary sigh, I replied, “I’ve already offered my apologies.”
“Will spilling dirty water on my shoes be fixed by an apology? Do you even realize the cost of these shoes? They’re worth more than your miserable life, you filthy maid!”
“The water didn’t even touch you!” I cried out. “I made sure of it.”
“You are not the one to decide if my shoes were splashed or not! Get on your knees and clean them with your tongue!” she commanded.
My jaw fell open in disbelief. “You cannot be serious!”
“You dare to test me,” she hissed. “Get on your knees, you insignificant creature!”
“I will do no such thing!” I retorted. “The water never touched you. And while I may be a maid, I still deserve to be treated with basic human dignity!”
“Are you talking back to me, servant? It appears you’ve forgotten your proper place within this pack! Allow me to remind you,” she declared.
What she intended to do next remained unknown, as the sudden sound of approaching footsteps reached our ears.
The unmistakable scent of a mate hit me even before they appeared—our commotion must have roused one of the triplets! A surge of panic coursed through me. I let go of the bucket, hitting the floor with a thud, and bolted as if I were a terrified animal.
“Where in the blazes do you think you’re going? I’m not finished with you,” Jessie yelled after me, clearly bewildered by my abrupt flight.
Just as she was about to pursue me, she spotted Levi descending the stairs. Her entire demeanor shifted instantly. The icy fury drained from her face, replaced by an artificially sweet smile.
“Oh, hello there, Levi!” she cooed, placing a hand on his chest. “What a surprise to see you here.”
Levi barely gave her a passing glance, roughly brushing her hand away from his body. A flicker of shock crossed her features, though she quickly regained her composure.
Giving a low smirk, she moved closer once more. “I was just giving that foolish Hazel a little lesson before you arrived. If you’d gotten here mere seconds sooner, you could have enjoyed the spectacle,” she said, letting out a laugh.
She looked at him expectantly, anticipating him to join her laughter as he usually did. However, she was met with a chilling, furious gaze that silenced her.
“Don’t you ever—” he growled, taking a menacing step forward.
Jessie flinched, stumbling backward. Fear flashed in her eyes.
“—ever, in your entire life, dare to speak ill of Hazel again!”
A tiny squeak escaped her lips. She spun around and fled the scene as fast as her legs could carry her.
Levi reached into his pocket, retrieved his mobile phone, and dialed a number. The moment the call connected, he bypassed any formalities.
“We need to have a discussion,” he stated decisively.
