Mated to the Triplet Alphas Chapter 139: Forever Begins
Previously on Mated to the Triplet Alphas...
As the grand cathedral doors swung open, the resonant wedding march enveloped the atmosphere. I felt my grandfather’s arm, my anchor, steady beneath my hand as we paused at the threshold. The spectacle that unfolded before my eyes rendered me speechless.
The aisle, a path adorned with pristine white rose petals and softly flickering candles nestled in glass holders, stretched onward. High above, countless miniature lights twinkled like a celestial tapestry from the cathedral’s vaulted ceiling, bathing the entire scene in an ethereal luminescence.
Though I had surveyed the cathedral during prior rehearsals and the bustling setup, it had never possessed the same magical aura as it did in this very moment.
At the far end of this enchanting aisle, they awaited—my three intended husbands, standing vigil at the altar.
Lucas occupied the central position, his impeccable posture evident in his sharp black tuxedo, his emerald eyes fixated on mine with a captivating intensity that sent a jolt through my heart. To his right stood Liam, a radiant smile gracing his features, his eyes shimmering with an unshed tearfulness. And to Lucas’s left, Levi practically vibrated with anticipation, his characteristic grin instilling a sense of weightlessness within me.
Positioned behind them, Leo and Callum stood as groomsmen, both exuding handsome charm in their tailored suits. Leo’s countenance was carefully controlled, yet I perceived the tender softness in his gaze when it met mine.
“Ready, little one?” my grandfather’s voice was a low whisper.
I could only manage a nod, my voice seemingly lost.
The music swelled, providing a soundtrack as we embarked on our solemn walk.
Members of the pack arose from their seats, their faces lit with welcoming smiles as we proceeded past. So many familiar faces—Sophia, beaming from her place among the bridesmaids; Matilda, dabbing her eyes with a delicate handkerchief; even Alpha Joseph of the Ironhound pack offered a respectful nod. While his daughter’s reaction was less gracious, she at least maintained a silent decorum, refraining from any overt displays.
With every measured step, the triplets drew nearer, their expressions undergoing a palpable transformation from sheer awe to profound adoration. Lucas’s jaw visibly tightened with a surge of emotion, Liam’s smile quivered, and Levi appeared on the verge of abandoning all decorum to dash down the aisle and embrace me.
Upon reaching the altar, Percival gently placed my hand into Lucas’s outstretched palm.
“Take good care of her,” he implored, his voice resonating through the hushed cathedral. “All of you.”
“With our very lives,” Lucas pledged, his voice encompassing the sentiment of all three.
The pack elder advanced, and I took my position between my destined mates. His voice, clear and strong, carried throughout the cathedral as he commenced the sacred ceremony.
“We convene today under the benevolent gaze of the Moon Goddess to solemnize the union not merely of two souls, but of four, destined by fate itself.”
The entirety of the ceremony unfolded in a breathtaking, dreamlike sequence. We exchanged our solemn vows, and midway through, Levi became overwhelmed with joyous tears. When the moment arrived for the rings, each brother bestowed a platinum band upon my finger, complementing the engagement ring they had previously gifted me at the beach house.
“By the sacred authority vested in me by the Emberfang Pack and the Moon Goddess herself, I now declare you united as mates in the eyes of all werewolf kind,” the elder proclaimed. “You may now kiss your bride.”
Lucas initiated the exchange, cradling my face tenderly before pressing his lips to mine in a kiss that conveyed both profound tenderness and an undeniable sense of possession. As he drew back, Liam moved forward, his kiss warm and sweet, imbued with unspoken promises. Then came Levi, who, with a dramatic flourish, dipped me before claiming my lips in a kiss that was both playfully passionate, eliciting chuckles from the assembly.
“Esteemed guests,” the elder announced, gesturing for us to turn and face our assembled company, “I present to you the Alpha couple of the Emberfang Pack!”
The cathedral erupted in a thunderous ovation of cheers and applause as we descended the aisle, irrevocably bound.
The subsequent reception unfolded within the expansive gardens adjacent to the packhouse, meticulously transformed into an enchanted realm. Delicate fairy lights adorned the trees, miniature crystal chandeliers dangled from branches, and tables cloaked in elegant white linen were artfully arranged across the lawn. A dance floor, illuminated by a canopy of lights mirroring the star-studded night sky, served as the central focus.
“I truly cannot comprehend how you all managed to achieve this,” I confided to Liam in a hushed tone as we greeted guests during the receiving line. “The decorations are precisely as I envisioned them in my drawings.”
“Lucas insisted on absolute perfection,” he responded, his fingers tightening around mine in a reassuring squeeze. “And Leo, though he’d vehemently deny it, felt the same.”
A laugh escaped me, knowing the veracity of his statement. I had observed Leo subtly directing the decorating crew on multiple occasions, each time feigning mere casual observation.
Following the conclusion of dinner, the triplets rose to address the assembled guests. Lucas gently tapped his glass, instantly commanding the full attention of the gathering.
“On behalf of my brothers and our cherished mate,” he commenced, his deep voice resonating throughout the garden expanse, “I wish to express our profound gratitude to each and every one of you for gracing us with your presence today.”
“Some of you have been part of our lives since we were mere pups,” Liam continued, his warm smile unwavering. “You have borne witness to our growth, our occasional missteps, and, we hope, our eventual lessons learned from them.”
“Mostly mistakes, in my case,” Levi interjected with a grin, drawing hearty laughter from the crowd. “But the single most significant decision we ever made was finally recognizing what had been right before us all along.”
Lucas’s arm encircled my waist, a gesture of unwavering connection. “To Hazel, who perceived beyond our imperfections and bestowed upon us a chance we scarcely deserved. Our mate, our very heart, our sanctuary.”
“To Hazel!” the collective voice of the crowd echoed, their glasses raised in a unified toast.
“Drink up and eat until you can’t move!” Levi bellowed. “That’s an Alpha order!”
More laughter erupted from the assembly as the music began anew. The triplets descended from the platform, each one ensnaring me in an embrace as they came near.
“Happy?” Lucas inquired, bestowing a kiss upon my temple.
“Happier than I had ever imagined possible,” I confessed.
Levi spun me around. “Just hold on until tonight, my love. The true festivities commence when we are secluded.”
A flush warmed my face at his suggestive remark.
“Levi, act properly,” Liam chided, though his gaze mirrored the same intense desire.
“When do we depart for our honeymoon?” I inquired, suddenly yearning for solitude with my mates.
We had selected to go back to the vacation residence the triplets had acquired for me as a birthday present. It would be the ultimate secluded beach getaway. I cherished so many joyful recollections from that place, and it felt like a complete circle, for that was where the triplets had popped the question.
“Tonight,” Lucas affirmed, his voice a low rumble. “The private jet is prepared for departure whenever we are ready.”
Leo materialized beside us, a flute of champagne in his grasp. “Congratulations,” he uttered, his tone nearly genuine. “The ceremony was not entirely dull.”
“High praise indeed, coming from you,” I quipped, extending my hand towards his free one.
“We are journeying to the island villa tonight,” Lucas informed him. “You are welcome to accompany us.”
Leo’s eyebrows sprang upward in astonishment.
