Brian relays intel about Asgard's refugees and Tony Stark's search for the Sorcerer Supreme to his mothers. His mother, Harley, believes this indicates Brian's father is returning and orders an investigation, leaving Brian behind. Meanwhile, the Joker organization rejoices at the news of Jason's return and prepares for his arrival. The next day, Asgardian ships appear over New York, and Brian and Angelina reveal their parentage to Peter and Gwen before fleeing.

The Wakandan fleet appeared grandly over the skies of New York.

In a Mexican bakery on a New York street, the head chef and owner sat by the window with his friend, their faces etched with worry.

As the foreign invaders intruded, hundreds of Sentry Drones deployed throughout New York City were immediately activated. They streaked across the sky, whistling as they charged toward the fleet.

"I’m heading out first!" Franklin stood up from his seat and donned his new energy armor made of Vibranium. He leaped from the ventral hatch, followed by tens of thousands of Joker-class armors. The dense swarm of armors, like a plague of locusts, accelerated to intercept the Sentry Drones.

"Take them down!"

The disparity in numbers was absolute. At Franklin’s command, the Joker armors unleashed a volley of lasers. In an instant, blue beams filled the sky, erupting into plumes of fire as they struck the Sentry Drones. Hundreds of drones were reduced to ash. Franklin led the charge, his armor legion plunging straight toward the Stark base.

The thunderous explosions jolted the citizens of New York from their daydream. At that moment, they finally realized New York was under attack. That familiar feeling of helplessness resurfaced—just as it had over a decade ago.

"What do we do now?" New York was in chaos. Gwen asked anxiously as she watched the citizens flee in panic.

"Aunt May is still at home. I have to go back and get her to safety." Peter fell silent for a moment before finally making up his mind.

Gwen was slightly surprised but understood. Putting family first was only human; there was nothing to blame. Anyone with even a bit of social standing knew that the world wasn’t ruled by heads of state, but by the Joker organization based in Wakanda, Africa.

Peter might not have known the full extent, but he at least knew their terrifying power. Even with his powers, he couldn’t beat Brian; what right did he have to influence the outcome of a frontal battlefield? It was more practical to protect the common folk.

"Go on, then. I’m going to find my father. I hope the intel I have will be useful to him."

The two parted ways at the intersection, each heading home to their respective families.

Alarms blared as the Stark base buzzed with activity. Missile defense systems were engaged; tanks, fighter jets, and thousands of mercenaries armed with heavy weaponry stood at the ready.

Tony donned his nano-armor and stood alone on the roof, gazing at the distant army. Tens of thousands of Sentry Drones and combat UAVs had been launched to intercept the Joker legion in the air. But the Joker armors were made of Vibranium—on that point alone, the battle was a lost cause.

Fortunately, Tony wasn’t counting on them to win. His goal was to buy time and wait for reinforcements.

Before long, Thor and Loki appeared behind him.

"Are the Asgardians evacuated?" Tony asked.

The moment the Wakandan fleet appeared, they knew the plan had leaked. They had used the Tesseract to immediately evacuate all residents.

Thor tightened his grip on his hammer and nodded. "They’ve been moved to a deserted island in Northern Europe. With Heimdall guarding them, they’ll be safe for now—your family included."

"Then I can rest easy!" Knowing his family was safe, Tony felt the weight lift from his heart. He could fight without restraint.

The Wakandan fleet came to a halt in the sky about a kilometer from the base. Soon, figures flickered at the front, and Harley Quinn appeared within the base along with her Joker organization comrades.

"Bitch is finally here!" Tony’s expression was grim as he snapped his faceplate shut.

Even with thousands of guns pointed at their heads, the comrades remained unfazed, smirking as they sized up the trio on the roof. They clearly didn’t consider them a threat.

Harley stepped forward, her tone calm. "I’ll only say this once: hand over the Tesseract, and we’ll spare your lives."

Tony was never one to be out-quipped. "I’ll only say this once: get out of America, and I’ll spare yours."

"Heh..." Harley gave a cold laugh, her expression turning chilly. If they couldn’t talk it out, they’d fight it out.

With a wave of Harley’s hand, the space around the entire base was locked down. The mercenaries were shocked; they tried to pull their triggers, only to find they couldn’t move a muscle.

John acted instantly, a chilling frost erupting from him and blanketing the surroundings. Anything it touched turned to ice—tanks, armored vehicles, and anti-aircraft missiles. The others leaped into the air to avoid being caught in the blast. David turned toward the trio on the roof and unleashed a sonic wave.

Just then, Loki pulled out the Tesseract. The hardened rift layers in the surrounding space vanished, instantly breaking the imprisonment.

Once everyone regained their freedom, Tony shouted, "Jarvis!"

The reinforced roof was shattered by a red-and-gold suit of armor. A strange-looking, specialized Mark-series suit hovered in mid-air. It was short and stout, with its arms consisting of a pair of thick, round sonic emitters.

Jarvis, piloting the suit, raised its arms and fired a powerful sonic blast.

The two sonic waves met in mid-air, canceling each other out with an ear-piercing frequency.

Free from the spatial lock, the mercenaries immediately raised their Stark-developed portable cannons, aiming at the airborne comrades and the stationary John.

One shell after another streaked through the air. Accompanied by massive explosions, the perimeter of the Stark base was instantly transformed into a sea of fire and rolling smoke.

As the black smoke cleared, the comrades were scattered around, unscathed. Without Harley’s spatial prison as a defensive barrier, they were forced to rely on their own individual prowess.

"Harley, David... hahaha! How’s it feel to be countered?" From outside the base, Franklin, who had been the first to have his powers neutralized, mocked them loudly.

Harley’s eyes were dark, her face grim.

"Go to hell!" David spat.

The energy level of the Tesseract far exceeded Harley’s Level 9 superpower. As long as Loki held onto it, Harley’s power was useless. Meanwhile, Tony’s nano-armor was the result of years of painstaking research; while its suppressive effect wasn’t as terrifying as the Tesseract, it was enough to significantly nerf David’s strength.

Did being countered feel good? Of course not. It felt absolutely miserable.

Just then, four figures appeared at the perimeter of the base. Two by two, one group arrived on the wind, the other through raw, brutish leaps.

Harley looked down and saw them clearly, her face tightening. The two riding the wind were, of course, Angelina and Brian—the latter of whom had been explicitly forbidden from coming. As for the two hulking figures leaping through the air, they were the Incredible Hulk and a transformed Captain America.

"Angelina, I think we can handle these two monsters ourselves." Having disobeyed his mother’s orders, Brian obviously didn’t want to face her right now.

"Fine, but be careful!" Angelina nodded in reluctant agreement.

"Don’t worry. We’ll take one each."

With that, the two changed direction to intercept Hulk and Steve.

"Well, it looks like we all have backup." Tony looked at the two giants—one red, one green—his expression complex. Despite their feud, Steve hadn’t gone back on his word; he had been lurking in New York, waiting for the signal. For a moment, Tony felt more gratitude than awkwardness.

Harley looked at the two "brats," a hint of worry in her heart. Hulk and Cap were heroes; surely those two wouldn’t run into trouble?

"Steve, old friend, he’s mine!" Alex stepped forward to help the kids.

Harley nodded in relief, then looked at the Tesseract in Loki’s hands. "A-Train, get the Tesseract back. Now."

"On it!"

In an instant, time seemed to stop for everyone but him. He sprinted to the roof and reached out to snatch the Tesseract.

"Wait!" A-Train looked surprised as his hand passed straight through Loki’s body.

"An illusion? No, it’s not an illusion."

To deal with the Joker organization, Tony and the others had thoroughly researched the members’ powers. They had long expected A-Train to use his speed to forcibly take the Tesseract. Thus, Loki had spent the last few days studying the artifact, finally mastering the technique of using the Tesseract to phase parts of his body into other dimensions.

As long as he maintained the effect, Loki was essentially invincible.

With the tide currently in the Avengers’ favor, Tony couldn’t wait to wipe them all out. "Jarvis! House Party Protocol!"

"Yes, sir!"

The Stark base shook violently as hundreds of Mark-series armors flew out from the armory, forming a circle behind Tony. Looking at the hideous faces before him, Tony’s tone was cold. "Take them down!"

At his word, the Mark legion surged forward, with Tony and Thor right behind them. As for Loki, he remained on the roof holding the Tesseract, responsible for maintaining the spatial stability. The Tesseract not only perfectly suppressed Harley’s power but also constantly opened portals to help the Avengers dodge attacks.

Even though the Joker organization had superior raw power, under these circumstances, they could only manage a stalemate.

Just then, a mass of black clouds erupted in the distant sky, sweeping toward them at incredible speed.

"Damn it, the guy finally decided to show up!" Harley, caught in a hard fight, grumbled at the approaching cloud.

The latecomer was the Joker organization’s resident troublemaker—Voldemort.

Voldemort didn’t get along with the others and rarely participated in the organization’s decision-making. Ever since he had been taught a lesson by the Sorcerer Supreme, he had been drifting around the world, creating Horcruxes while trying to steal the magic of this world. Harley had informed him of the plan in advance, but he had still arrived late.

A hideous, contorted face appeared within the black cloud, looking down at the masses below and letting out a chilling laugh.

"This guy..." Tony frowned. "Careful, he’s a magic user!"

Thor looked up at the dark clouds and immediately raised Mjolnir. "First time I’ve seen a wizard this ugly."

Bolts of lightning flickered, striking deep into the dark clouds. However, Voldemort had used some unknown magic to temporarily shed his physical form, appearing as an intangible mist. Thor’s lightning had no effect. Voldemort let out a cold laugh as he dived from the clouds.

His upper body gradually solidified while his lower body remained a swirling mist, looking like a living person equipped with rocket boosters. Voldemort pulled the Elder Wand from his robes and pointed it at the God of Thunder.

"Stupefy!"

A streak of green light shot from the tip of the Elder Wand. The beam was incredibly fast, hidden amidst the lightning and black mist. But Thor’s mother was also a sorceress, and he had been in a love-hate relationship with Loki for a thousand years; he was all too familiar with the tricks of magic users.

Voldemort looked like trouble, so Thor didn’t dare be careless, diving to the side to dodge.

"Avada Kedavra!" Voldemort hovered in mid-air, casually following up with a Killing Curse.

Thor was pinned down, forced to dodge passively, while Voldemort gave him no room to breathe, hurling spells like they were free.

With Thor—their strongest combatant—occupied, the pressure on the other organization members was instantly halved. Before long, John, having frozen all of Tony’s high-priced mercenaries into ice statues, joined the main battlefield.

The weight on the organization’s side continued to grow, and the tide of the battle began to turn. The number of destroyed Mark-series suits climbed rapidly. The once-confident Tony began to frown under the immense pressure. He was worried, because if he lost this battle, he’d lose everything.

Thinking of this, Tony began to regret helping Thor—and he cursed the mysterious powerhouse who was still nowhere to be found, as well as the Sorcerer Supreme who was only a name and never a face.

But as the saying goes, when it rains, it pours.

At the perimeter of the base, Franklin’s Joker legion had crushed Tony’s Sentry Drones and was now flying toward them. At the sight, Tony’s face went pale, his fists clenched.

"Where are those armors flying?" Loki asked in confusion from the roof.

Tony looked up to see tens of thousands of Joker armors streaking past the base and heading into the distance.

"Jarvis!"

"Sir, an unidentified object has entered the atmosphere."

"What! Is it Jason’s fleet?" Tony asked. If it was, he was truly fucked.

"No... it’s just one person!"

One person! In his memory, the only person capable of traveling through space alone was Jason.

"Loki!" Tony didn’t hesitate, preparing to make a run for it. "Hurry, get us out of—"

A deafening roar erupted from the horizon. Everyone turned to look as countless Joker armors exploded in the sky.

"What..." Tony was cut off.

A blonde woman in a blue suit, radiating a blinding light, plunged through the atmosphere and slammed into Earth. The Joker armors tried to stop her, only to be smashed into fragments by the impact.

"She... she’s the powerhouse Nick Fury knew!" Tony’s eyes were wild with excitement. To be able to easily smash Vibranium Joker armors into pieces—this woman’s strength was terrifying. With her joining the fray, there was no way they could lose!

As the armors continued to explode, the expressions on the Joker organization members’ faces soured. Needless to say, this woman was with the other guys. Things were not going well today; was this whole operation about to fall apart?

The woman touched down over the Stark base and asked calmly, "Sorry to bother you. My name is Carol Danvers. Does anyone know where Nick Fury is?"
