Marvel: The Villain Chapter 411 Burst Into Laughter

On the other end of the line, Harley stood frozen, unable to believe her ears.
"What did you say? You found..."
"Yes, I found news of Father. He..."
Before Brian could finish, a voice suddenly rang in his ear: "Where is he?"
The siblings whirled around. There stood both their mothers, holding their phones, their bodies trembling with excitement.
"Well, I didn’t expect you to be this excited," Brian said, hanging up and leading them to sit in the living room.
Angelina reverted to her role as the quiet, well-behaved daughter, sitting silently beside her mother as she watched Brian perform.
"We tracked Tony Stark and eavesdropped on his conversation with Thor. We found out they’re looking for the Sorcerer Supreme. And something has happened to Asgard—all its residents have been moved to Earth, living at Stark’s base."
In front of Angelina, Brian had always been the one who made mistakes or acted like a fool. But today, he finally basked in the spotlight, taking his sweet time to claim credit in front of the two mothers.
After hearing him out, Harley asked, "What does any of this have to do with your father?"
Brian was ready, answering triumphantly, "We analyzed it—Asgard must have run into major trouble. Thor brought the survivors to Earth to ask Tony for help, but their combined strength wasn’t enough to solve the problem, which is why they want to find the Sorcerer Supreme."
Christine had an epiphany. "So you think the ’major trouble’ Thor ran into is your father."
Brian nodded. "Exactly. The Asgardians have a grudge against Father; he wouldn’t let them off easily. Plus, they possess Infinity Stones, and isn’t Father’s dream to collect all six?"
Though there was no direct evidence, Brian’s analysis made a lot of sense. It seemed that after two years in America, their son had grown up quite a bit.
Harley’s expression was one of relief and approval. "You did a good job with this."
Brian grinned, looking like a naive, pure-hearted boy. Even after years of acting like a king in America, Harley’s absolute authority still held sway over him.
"Mother, what do we do next?" He wanted to strike while the iron was hot, crush the Avengers in one fell swoop, and take the primary credit for the victory.
"From here on, we take over. We’ll verify the truth of the situation before deciding on a plan," Harley said.
Brian spread his hands in disappointment. "So there’s nothing for us to do?"
"No, you go back to school. Angelina will take two days off to join us in the investigation. Any issues with that?"
"Of course not. I’d be honored," Angelina said politely.
"I have an issue! I have an issue!" Brian felt wronged and began to vent his grievances. "I helped with this too. I want to participate."
Harley shook her head ruthlessly. "No! If your theory is correct, I believe your father will be back soon. The Avengers, pushed into a corner, will surely become desperate. It will be chaos, and no one can guarantee your safety."
"I don’t need anyone else. I have the strength to protect myself," Brian said angrily. "And besides, why does Angelina get to go?"
Harley replied sarcastically, "Son, this is war. Your little bit of strength won’t even make a ripple. As for Angelina, we need her magic."
"But I also want to..."
"I know, but wait until you’re grown," Harley said, exhausting her patience before her tone shifted. "Or, if you can escape from my hands, I’ll agree to let you join."
With that, she slowly reached out a hand toward her son.
"Brian, just forget it," Angelina tried to convince him to give up.
"No, I want to try!" Brian stood up, clenching his fists.
"Hmph... arrogant brat." Harley gave a cold, delighted smirk. "Old rules: I’ll only use half my strength."
The moment she finished speaking, a thunderous roar erupted in Brian’s ears, and the air in front of him began to crack into shards.
Brian was trapped within a cuboid pocket of space. He threw a heavy punch at the boundary, only to be bounced back by the hardened rift layers, his brow furrowing in pain.
"Still want to try?" Harley asked.
Brian tried several more times, but the rift layers remained as solid as ever. He couldn’t help but feel discouraged and deflated. When he was a child and his body hadn’t fully developed, it was understandable that he couldn’t break a spatial barrier. But since entering puberty, his strength had grown by leaps and bounds—yet the result was still this humiliating.
Brian shook his head in a slump. "Enough. I give up!"
Harley dissolved the spatial prison, looking at her disappointed son and offering a lesson.
"Given your talent, if you had trained seriously these past few years, there would be a ninety percent chance you could break this prison. But your strength has stagnated—even regressed. I don’t think I need to tell you why."
Brian lowered his head, dejected and silent. His mother’s lesson was spot on.
He had spent two whole years living the high life in America. Aside from earning the title of "Booty-Call Prince," Brian had accomplished nothing. Even the fact that those girls were willing to hop into bed with him was largely due to the background provided by his parents and his supernatural good looks. If you stripped away those innate factors and looked at him as an individual, he had almost no achievements to speak of—a textbook example of a second-generation rich kid who only knew how to eat, drink, and be merry.
Angelina, on the other hand, had lived in a dream city full of temptation yet remained true to herself, relentlessly pursuing her dreams and honing her magical skills. Though the two siblings hadn’t fought recently, the widening gap was obvious to everyone.
"Let’s go!" Harley was annoyed and didn’t want to waste more words on her son.
The little brat thought he was all grown up and had started disobeying orders. But Harley was a "tender mother and strict father" rolled into one; she didn’t have the heart to be truly ruthless. She would just have to wait for his father to return and properly polish this stubborn stone.
Leaving Brian at the villa, the three women dove back into the Stark base.

The next morning, in the Wakanda Council Chamber.
All members of the Joker organization were gathered together. Stanfield joined the meeting via virtual projection.
Harley and Christine, dressed in formal attire, sat at the head of the circular conference table. They looked at their gathered comrades with burning eyes, their voices trembling as they spoke:
"We have good news for you. Jason... is coming back!"
The moment those words left their lips, the boisterous hall went dead silent. The members sat frozen, as if their pressure points had been struck. After five or six seconds of silence, the hall exploded into a frenzy.
"Wh-what did you say?"
"Jason is coming back!"
"When!"
"Where did the intel come from? Is it reliable?"
"Today isn’t April Fool’s, is it..."
The two women looked at each other and smiled. It had been so long since they’d seen a scene like this.
Christine waved for silence, but it took several tries before the group could suppress their wild joy and look at them expectantly. Christine organized her thoughts and relayed the events of the previous night.
After a night of reconnaissance, they had managed to piece together the truth from a late-night talk between Stark and Pepper Potts. Hearing this, the comrades were excited enough to flip the tables.
Four cosmic fleets, four Infinity Stones... They hadn’t expected that after being away from Earth for over a decade, Jason would have grown to such heights.
Jason is returning. The Joker organization would be back on track. What pleased them even more was that after conquering Earth, they would venture into the vast cosmos. This held a powerful allure for any Earthling who had never traveled far.
Once the cheers in the hall had subsided, Christine introduced the day’s agenda. Since the Avengers wanted to find the Sorcerer Supreme for a last stand, how should the organization respond? Should they strike first and wipe them out, or wait patiently for Jason’s return to decide?
It was an issue worth discussing, but looking at the expressions on these savages, there didn’t seem to be any need for debate. They looked at one another and burst into laughter.
Christine sighed with emotion. "It’s rare indeed! In hundreds of meetings over ten years, this is the first time the entire membership is in agreement."
Harley smiled. "Jason is coming back. We can’t have him seeing the people he recruited acting like fishwives, hands on hips and shouting at each other."
"Hands on hips... weren’t you the one shouting the loudest?" Someone joked from below.
Harley was furious. "Who said that! Get out here right now!"
The crowd burst into laughter.

The following morning, Angelina and Brian took their usual private car to Midtown High. In class, however, both were a bit distracted, occasionally looking up at the sky. Fortunately, they were already the type who didn’t pay attention, so the teachers didn’t notice anything unusual.
At noon, the siblings joined Peter and Gwen for lunch in the cafeteria.
"Look!"
"What is that!"
"Oh my God!"
Suddenly, the garden became bustling as every student looked up at the sky. On the distant horizon, a multitude of strange black objects appeared, dense and blotting out the sun.
The siblings looked at each other, strange smiles appearing on their faces.
"Those are... ships!"
Peter’s vision was far beyond that of a normal human; aside from the siblings, he was the only one who saw clearly.
"What!" Gwen looked out in surprise but could only see a mass of black objects.
"I’m not wrong. They’re ships," Peter said with a frown. "Strange, I’ve never seen designs like that. Are they a secret military weapon?"
Angelina gave him a nudge, urging, "Stop looking. Follow me."
Peter looked at her in confusion. "What’s wrong? Do you know about these ships?"
Brian hooked an arm around his neck. "If you want to live, don’t ask questions. Run!"
The four scrambled off campus as the piercing wail of air-raid sirens began to echo.
Pedestrians on the street looked at the sky, utterly baffled. These people... they were too complacent. It had only been a little over ten years since the New York incident, yet their alertness to danger had dropped to this level.
Hearing the sirens, Peter hesitated for a few seconds and then reached into his backpack, preparing to change into his Spider-Man suit.
"What do you think you’re doing?" Brian snatched the backpack away.
"Brian... something’s happening to New York! Give me my bag!" Peter said, his face frantic.
"Whatever is happening to New York has nothing to do with you. Do you really think you’re a savior? Like I said—if you want to live, follow me." Brian gripped the bag tightly.
Peter seemed to sense something, questioning him with a stern expression: "What’s going on with those ships... what do you know?"
"Peter! Stop asking questions. We won’t hurt you. Just let’s go!" Angelina urged.
Peter finally stood his ground. He dodged Angelina’s hand and stepped back. "No. I’m not going anywhere until you explain. Who are you people?"
Angelina and Brian looked at each other, their faces filled with hesitation.
"They are the children of ’The Joker,’ Jason Walter. Those ships are the fleet of the Joker organization!" Suddenly, Gwen, standing nearby, revealed the secret.
"You..." Brian was shocked, though Angelina’s expression wasn’t as surprised.
"Sorry. I did some research... I wasn’t entirely sure... but your behavior just now confirmed my suspicions," Gwen said with a serious face.
"You guys are actually..." Peter’s eyes went wide with terror.
"Fine! Gwen is right. We are Jason’s children," Brian said, raising his voice. "What? Does Mr. Spider-Man want to enact justice?"
"I..." Peter was momentarily speechless.
Angelina said, "Peter, Gwen, think rationally. In the two years we’ve been classmates, have we hurt you even once? Have we used violence against any other student?"
"No, I know, but you guys..." Peter was nearly in tears.
He had never imagined that the goddess who had occupied his thoughts for two years was actually the biological daughter of Jason Walter, the arch-villain he despised most. His life truly was a tragedy, even with superpowers.
"My father is my father, and we are ourselves... Though I can’t agree with some of his actions, when it comes to interests and our lives, I stand with my parents," Angelina said with a sad tone.
"I couldn’t agree with that sentiment less," Gwen said, her face solemn.
Seeing Gwen’s resolute expression, Brian’s face stiffened, and he shook his head with regret. Angelina looked at the two of them, her gaze gradually turning cold.
"I understand how you feel, but I hope you abandon your fantasies and see reality for what it is. If you ultimately choose to stand against us, I swear I will show no mercy."
Those words struck a sharp pain into Peter’s heart, and his face showed a look of deep conflict.
"It seems you won’t be able to wrap your heads around this anytime soon. Fine. Even if you don’t come with us, with your skills, as long as you stay away from the battlefield, you won’t die," Brian sighed with resignation.
"Then we’ll say goodbye here. I hope we don’t meet on the battlefield!" Angelina was far colder than her brother.
With that, she waved her arm, and elemental orbs appeared in the sky. A gust of wild wind blew, and the siblings vanished completely.
