Brandon was intimate with Ravene and Elize. The next morning, Selene explained how their father became a god and fought other gods, and how he and Aunt Rheanne helped everyone else become gods to achieve longer lives. Jiyeon, a normal human, wondered if she could become a god too.

Selene continued speaking as she stood in front of the long couch.

"Papa never really recovered from those years,"

"Even after Mother stopped aging and the others began to change... something in him stayed guarded."

"Mother told me he was still carrying the weight of everything that happened before Aunt Rheanne returned."

The women listened in silence.

At that moment, soft footsteps approached from the hallway.

Camille and Lisette appeared at the entrance of the living room.

Both of them paused when they saw the gathering.

They were dressed simply, clearly having just woken up and come looking for everyone else.

Camille’s eyes moved across the couch before looking atSelene "You’re telling them about that time?"

Lisette stepped further into the room and glanced at Selene, then at the seated women, and gave a small nod before moving to stand near the side of the couch.

Selene looked at the two of them and smiled "Aunt Camille and Aunt Lisette were already there during those years," she said.

"They saw what Papa was like when the lesser divinities kept coming and how far he was willing to go to protect the people around him. And also during Mother’s tough times."

Camille folded her arms loosely, leaning against the wall near the doorway.

"He didn’t sleep properly for months... Lisette and I stayed close to Lady Freya during those times. We thought we were going to lose her."

Lisette’s gaze lowered slightly.

"She tried to hide how bad it was," she muttered softly. "But near the end... she could barely walk without help."

"Lord Kael would carry her to the balcony every evening so she could still look at the city. He never said it out loud, but we all knew he was preparing himself for the worst."

A heavy quiet settled over the room.

To shake off the mood, Selene glanced at Camille and spoke "Aunt Camille, with your illusion skill, show Papa’s fight with the Lesser Divinity."

Upstairs Bedroom

Sunlight filtered softly through the half-drawn curtains, casting a warm glow across the large bed.

Rheanne was lying on her side, completely naked beneath the light sheets.

Her long white hair spilled loosely over the pillow and across Brandon’s chest.

With gentle fingers, she played with his longer black hair, slowly threading the strands between her fingers, smoothing them back from his forehead, then letting them fall again.

A few moments later, Brandon woke up.

He exhaled slowly before his hand shifted under the sheets and found the curve of her waist almost on instinct.

His fingers rested there for a second, feeling the soft warmth of her bare skin, before he tightened his hold and pulled her fully on top of him.

"Ah~" Rheanne let out a quiet breath of surprise as her body settled over his body.

She adjusted slightly, straddling his hips more comfortably as she rested her weight on him.

Her long white hair fell around both of their faces like a curtain.

Brandon’s hands slid up her bare back, then down again to settle on the curve of her waist and the upper swell of her ass, holding her there.

Rheanne lowered her head and rested her cheek against his shoulder.

"...Morning,"

Her lips curved faintly "Morning, Kael."

"You slept deeper than usual," she said quietly. "Did they tire you out that much last night?"

Brandon gave a small, dry huff of amusement, and his hand on her waist slid higher along her back, pulling her a bit closer under the sheets.

"Something like that."

Rheanne’s eyes softened. She leaned in and pressed a slow kiss to the corner of his mouth, then another just beneath it.

"They’re downstairs," she said quietly. "Selene is telling them about the years after I left."

Brandon’s eyes opened a little more fully at that "I see... well, I guess it would have been slightly awkward to say it myself."

Rheanne brushed a strand of his hair away from his forehead again, "Do you want to go down and join them? Or stay here a little longer?"

He turned his head slightly and pressed a slow kiss to the top of her head, breathing her in.

"A little longer," he said.

They stayed tangled together beneath the sheets.

Rheanne began placing soft, unhurried kisses across his skin.

Her lips moved to his collarbone next before trailing further down across his chest.

She paused over his chest, kissing the skin there, then continued until her mouth found one of his nipples.

Brandon’s hand rested on the back of her head, fingers moving absently through her long white hair as she kissed him.

After a while, Rheanne lifted her head just enough to look at him.

Her chin rested lightly against his chest.

"What are you going to do from now on?" she asked softly.

Brandon was quiet for a moment, staring up at the ceiling as he considered the question.

"I’m not sure either. For now... I just want to live with everyone for a while."

He exhaled slowly. "Maybe look at the Academy a little later."

Rheanne’s gaze lowered.

The quiet contentment in her expression dimmed slightly as she remembered the condition of his body.

For some unknown reason his body is deteriorating rapidly, and that’s why he has to sleep during his time in the Divine Realm to preserve his body. (Chapter: 577)

Her fingers, which had been resting against his chest, curled slightly.

She didn’t speak the thought out loud. Instead, she leaned down again and pressed another soft kiss against his skin.

She doesn’t know the reason why his body is decaying like that.

Even after he became her apostle, his body was still deteriorating.

They tried to make him a Lesser Divinity, but the world consciousness is not recognizing him.

’I will surely find some cure for you... no matter what it takes.’

Brandon’s hand continued stroking her hair, unaware of the exact direction of her thoughts, simply holding her against him as the morning light continued to fill the room.
