Marvel: The Villain Chapter 322 322 Still

The circle slowly closed and vanished. Jason had officially left the Earth he had lived on for over thirty years. Whether he would live or die, or if he would ever reunite with his comrades, was a question no one could answer.
Harley covered her face and sobbed, Christine's face was etched with sorrow, and the expressions of the remaining members were grim to the extreme. With Jason gone, how were they supposed to navigate the road ahead?
Her mission complete, the Ancient One traced a new portal to leave. Before stepping through, she left them with a final warning: "I will not interfere with whatever the Joker organization does next, but there are two red lines you are absolutely forbidden from crossing. First: the Infinity Stones. Second: Tony Stark."
Not touching the Infinity Stones was understandable. But Tony Stark? Why did that war profiteer deserve the protection of the Sorcerer Supreme?
The group was baffled, but Christine focused on the most important detail. "If we go into space to search for Jason, you won't stop us?"
The Ancient One smiled. "Of course not. I only hope you can find him."
With those final words, she departed. In the middle of the desolate wasteland stretching for miles, only the members of the Joker organization remained.
While Jason's departure was a crushing blow, they forced themselves to rally. After all, Jason was only exiled, and the Ancient One had left them a sliver of hope.
A-Train asked, "What's our next move?"
Franklin added, "Yeah, what did the Boss's proverb actually mean?"
Everyone turned their gaze toward Christine. Although Harley had the highest formal education among them, her expertise was in psychiatry and psychology.
"Build high walls, store grain widely, and be slow to claim kingship," Christine repeated. "Simply put: Keep a low profile, build up our strength, and don't do anything stupid."
"Oh!"
With such a layman's explanation, the group suddenly understood.
David asked, "So... does that mean we're going back to Africa?"
Acting leader Christine nodded. "Absolutely. No matter how you look at it, we lost this battle. We lost our leader and our strongest combatant. Once the government recovers, they'll launch an unprecedented crackdown. The Joker organization's assets within the U.S. will be purged. We aren't strong enough to go head-to-head with them right now."
"So, my plan is this: abandon the peripheral members as bait. We'll leave only core members inside the U.S. to keep making money. Harley and David, you two proceed to Africa. There's an important project waiting for you there."
After Christine's analysis, the fog of confusion lifted. Shifting their focus to the African continent had been Jason's policy before he left anyway. Their job was to keep walking that path until Jason returned—or until they couldn't walk anymore.
"Understood. Let's split up. We need to handle this quickly while the government is still too battered to organize a purge."
On the other side of things, Thor had returned to New York at full strength, and the scales of victory finally began to tilt. He flew to the roof of Stark Tower, raising Mjolnir high to summon the lightning and blast the Chitauri army out of the sky.
Tony, still completely bewildered, flew over. "Thor, you might not believe this, but a woman in a cloak just showed up and took the Tesseract."
Thor, of course, believed it. "I know. She gave it back to me."
"What? Is she an acquaintance of yours?" Tony guessed, unable to understand why a stranger wouldn't leave the Tesseract with him.
"I know her, and I don't," Thor replied, reflecting on the encounter. His reaction time was a bit slow, but he had guessed the identity of the Sorcerer Supreme. Whenever they discussed Earth, his father Odin mentioned her, though Thor had never seen her face until now.
"Who is she?" Tony asked urgently.
"Uh... let's talk about that later," Thor hesitated. He wasn't sure if he should reveal the identity of the Sorcerer Supreme just yet.
"Fine. What about Jason and the Scepter?" Tony had a lot of questions.
"Stark, can I finish wiping out the Chitauri army first?" Thor said helplessly. He hadn't even figured out how to answer those questions yet.
"OK, do your thing. I'm just glad you're back."
Rumble!
Thor raised Mjolnir, and the sky instantly filled with dark clouds. Bolts of lightning crashed down onto the Chitauri forces. Warships that shells couldn't even dent disintegrated under the thunder. Tony donned his new armor and dove into the fray, while the ground forces, seeing the God of Thunder's return, launched a total offensive.
Under the combined pressure, the Chitauri began to collapse. But with the portal closed, where could they run? Within half an hour, the army was annihilated. The alien war—which had cost over a hundred thousand civilian and military lives—finally ended in a victory for Earth.
With eyes like a hawk, Thor found his younger brother in the chaotic crowd. Loki was flattened in seconds. To prevent another escape, Thor placed Mjolnir directly on Loki's chest. With Odin's enchantment, Loki was pinned to the ground, unable to move an inch.
The war was over, and the rescue work began. In New York, the military took charge, airlifting massive amounts of medical equipment and personnel into the city.
Meanwhile, SHIELD's Helicarrier moved over the site of the Joker organization's base. After the repeated bombings, the area had become a wasteland where nothing grew for miles. SHIELD was there for one reason: to find Black Widow and Captain America. Their tracking devices were destroyed, and things looked grim.
The Helicarrier's sensors scanned for life signs below. With every passing meter, the agents grew more tense. If there was no result, the search would have to be turned over to ground recovery teams for bodies.
Fury gripped the railing, his heart in his throat. At a massive cost, they had finally won. He wanted Natasha and Steve to be there to share the joy.
"Sir! I have a life sign!"
That shout sent a wave of excitement through the agents. Fury immediately ordered, "Send the rescue dropship!"
"Yes, sir!"
The Helicarrier's side bay opened, and a rescue craft carrying a medical team descended rapidly. The signal was coming from twenty meters underground. The team jumped out and began digging with professional tools.
"Found it! It's the Captain's shield!" A rescuer shouted a few minutes later.
"Great! Keep digging!"
A few more minutes passed, and they hit something hard. Once the dirt was cleared away, they revealed a suit of iron armor—one that had lost all power.
They pried open the faceplate. Steve was still breathing.
