Marvel: The Villain Chapter 321 321 Goodbye

"AHHH!!!"
Jason gave up trying to counter the absorption, his arms straining with all his might to break free. But Ancient One's palm, which looked weak and fragile, possessed a gravitational strength that was impossible to escape.
Jason was on the verge of a total breakdown. He finally understood how Thor felt when facing him just moments ago. First came the fear... then the despair... and finally, even the will to resist vanished entirely.
The Ancient One was faster, stronger, and possessed a mastery of magic that was nothing short of divine. She was crushing him from every conceivable angle. What was even more bad was the fact that the pendant on her chest—the Eye of Agamotto, the Time Stone—hadn't even been used yet.
This kind of power had no visible boundary. You couldn't even see the gap between you, let alone a direction to strive toward. It was devastating. It was like a man in a small boat trying to challenge the ocean; even with his life's effort, he only manages to see a tiny corner of the sea. The so-called storms and waves were merely the ocean playing a game. You had to give your absolute everything just to survive her kind teasing.
How could such a profound sense of powerlessness lead to anything but despair? That was Jason's reality right now.
Seeing his wilted expression and lack of resistance, the Ancient One asked curiously, "Ready to give up already? That doesn't seem like your style."
Hearing this, Jason gave a helpless smile. "At my level, I can accurately judge the strength of both sides. Finding a way out of a desperate situation or fighting to the death only works when the power gap is small. But you... forget it, just have mercy. I've given it my all, while you're just playing around with me."
"Very good!" The Ancient One unclenched her fist and placed her hands behind her back, offering praise. "Accepting defeat voluntarily is nothing to be ashamed of. Letting go is a higher dimension of courage. It shows you see yourself and your enemy clearly. Only then can you grow."
Jason rubbed his wrists, seriously mulling over those words.
"Well then, since you've admitted defeat, accept your fate. Call your comrades back and say your final goodbyes."
"Final... goodbyes..." Jason let go of his wrist, his expression darkening with sorrow.
Ancient One asked, "Regrets?"
Jason nodded with a self-mocking grin. "It's strange. I've gone years without seeing them before, but it's never felt like this... this heartache... this reluctance."
The Ancient One was more detached. "Humans are always like this; they only learn to cherish what they have once it's lost. But unfortunately, I will not change my mind. Cherish these final moments."
Jason didn't expect that a few sentimental words or a couple of tears would get him off the hook. If the Sorcerer Supreme were that easily moved, she'd be the Saint Supreme instead. He raised his hand toward the sky and fired an energy sphere.
Bang!
The energy ball exploded in the sky like a firework, turning into a canopy of shimmering light. A second later, Harley appeared by his side with the rest of the group.
"Honey!"
"Boss!"
The gang immediately swarmed him, their voices thick with concern and anxiety. Jason gave a tragic smile and said, "Sorry, guys. I lost."
The gang was struck with horror. Jason had always been the pillar of the organization. No matter the difficulty or the enemy, he was always the one left smiling at the end. Through countless trials, this had become an objective truth for them.
But now, Jason was actually saying he lost! This was the first time in all these years they had seen him admit defeat so sincerely, without a hint of defiance.
John glanced at the Ancient One and whispered, "Maybe we should all attack together."
David nodded in agreement. "Right. Let me disorient her with ultrasound first, then John can freeze her, and finally, Boss can shatter her into ice chips."
Jason shook his head with a light laugh. "Forget it. It's useless. Even if she stood there and let us attack, we wouldn't be her match."
A-Train was shocked. "She's that strong?"
Jason sighed. "She's on a completely different dimension."
Franklin looked worried. "So... Boss. Is exile really the only way?"
The gang looked at him expectantly, but Jason had to disappoint them.
Christine suggested, "If we can't use force, why don't we beg her? Tell her we'll voluntarily dissolve the Joker organization and stop doing evil. We could even leave the U.S. and go to Africa."
Jason cut her off. "The Sorcerer Supreme is the protector of Earth. If she's acting personally, she has thought this through. She won't change her decision with a few words."
Harley's eyes were wet, but her expression was fierce. "I won't... I absolutely won't let you leave."
With that, she grabbed Jason's hand and activated her superpower. If I can't fight you, I can damn well hide from you.
The group was instantly teleported over ten kilometers away.
"Yes! It worked!" Harley shouted excitedly.
Just then, a sparking ring of orange fire appeared in the dark night sky. The Ancient One stepped out of the portal. "Jason, time is running out."
Heh, figures. Jason's expression went dark. He gave up completely.
"Harley, stop wasting your effort. The Ancient One is a Sorcerer Supreme who has lived for thousands of years. So-called superpowers are like children's games to her."
"I don't want to leave you!" Harley grabbed Jason's collar, buried her face in his chest, and sobbed.
Jason felt a pang in his heart, but he forced himself to be strong. "Everyone, after I'm gone, the Joker organization is in your hands. Think more, discuss more, and be less impulsive."
"From today on, the Earth will undergo world-shaking changes. All sorts of inconceivable people and events will emerge. Staying calm and adaptable is the only way to survive a chaotic world."
"Before I go, I'll give you an old proverb: Build high walls, store grain widely, and be slow to claim kingship."
The group of uneducated thugs stared at each other blankly. Only the well-read Christine spoke up: "I understand. Don't worry."
Jason smiled with relief and continued his instructions. "And another thing. Those two kids are still young. You, as their mothers and uncles, must educate them well. They shouldn't be troublemakers, unlearned, or spoiled brats. Looking back now, the reason I ended up like this is because I lacked an education."
Scenes from the past flashed through his mind. Looking back at the road he had traveled over the years, Jason couldn't help but feel sentimental. "Alright, that's all I have to say. Take care of yourselves."
Jason steeled his heart, pulled Harley out of his arms, and walked toward the Ancient One. "You only punish the ringleader, not the innocent?"
Ancient One replied, "They are not innocent, but their sins are not for me to punish."
That was exactly what Jason wanted to hear. "As long as you don't act, no one on Earth is qualified to punish them."
The Ancient One remained noncommittal. She traced a circular portal in the air. "Go. This is your place of exile."
Jason stepped closer to look, but saw nothing but a void.
Harley wiped her tears and walked forward bravely. "Where does this lead?"
Ancient One shook her head. "I don't know. It could be a black hole, a star, a cosmic battlefield..."
Harley said coldly, "How sinister. They're all places of death."
The Ancient One's expression became solemn. "I swear on my honor as Sorcerer Supreme: Jason's place of exile is completely random. Life or death, blessing or curse—it all depends on his luck."
"I believe you." Jason let out a heavy sigh and turned back to look seriously at everyone's face one last time.
"Everyone, goodbye."
With that, an energy shield flared around his body, and he dove headfirst into the portal.
