Cassandra explained, "People who can use weapons like these more or less possess Isu genes. It’s like a key. Without it, you can’t activate the weapon.
"Although such people are rare, there were still quite a few in my time who had absolutely nothing to do with the Isu of the First Civilization. As for those who could use them, if they were lucky enough to obtain an Isu weapon or piece of equipment, they could usually make quite a name for themselves.
"A few even earned impressive titles and became famous heroes or mercenaries. You said yourself that you’re an alien, so I imagine you don’t have any Isu genes. This result is only natural.
"The only exception..."
Cassandra’s gaze drifted toward the other Eternals.
As if showing off, Kingo picked up another serpent-shaped sword from the crate. A strange halo immediately rippled across it, with arcs of electricity occasionally winding around the blade.
Henry exclaimed in surprise, "All Eternals can use Isu weapons?"
The three Eternals nodded. Cassandra added, "Because they could use them too, I initially thought they were somehow connected to the people of the First Civilization. That caused quite a few misunderstandings."
Henry took the serpent sword from Kingo’s hand. Just like with the first short sword, the moment it changed hands, the electric arcs on the blade immediately died out.
Not at all discouraged by his inability to use it, Henry asked, "Do the Eternals have Isu genes? Or is there some other connection between the two?"
"I have no idea," Kingo said. "Of everyone here, you’re the most likely to figure it out. We’re only good at beating people up."
Looking at the guy proudly advertising his brawn, Henry helplessly said, "All right."
He turned his attention to the contents of the crate and asked, "Do the other pieces of equipment still work?"
Cassandra didn’t guess. Instead, she picked them up one by one and carefully sensed them.
"I can feel that although they’re weakened, they’re still alive."
Henry put the two swords back into the relatively intact crate and said, "Good. We’ll leave the Isu equipment for later. Let’s deal with the other things first."
One major reason Henry had stopped salvaging was that the contents of the more than ten crates they’d brought up had nearly covered the entire yacht’s deck. Although several crates had turned out to be duds, the rest contained valuable treasures and artifacts.
"Hmm. How are you planning to clean all this up?" Kingo asked.
He had volunteered to handle the non-artifacts that nobody wanted to keep, but with everything scattered across the deck like this, even he had no idea where to start.
After thinking for a moment, Henry said, "Sort everything first. I’ll go find a few crates."
"How are you going to—"
Before Kingo could finish, Henry had already used his super-speed to enter the cabin and change clothes, then shot straight into the sky!
"...Oh, right. I forgot you could fly. I’ve got to say, that ability is way too unfair."
Kingo gazed into the distance and muttered.
The other two Eternals nodded heavily in agreement, while the Spartan woman stared in shock.
"He can fly?"
"He can do a lot more than that. About the only thing he probably can’t do is have children. Hmm... do male Kryptonians have uteruses?"
Kingo suddenly turned to the others.
Gilgamesh laughed and cursed, "How the hell would I know what a Kryptonian’s reproductive system looks like? I’d love to see you ask him that question and find out whether he beats you to death."
"Forget it. Saying that out loud makes it sound like I want to have children with him. Just thinking about it makes me sick."
The group continued sorting through the items while joking among themselves.
When Henry returned to the yacht carrying several large crates on his shoulders, only a few minutes had passed. Everyone had barely finished separating the artifacts intended for museums from the valuable items they wanted to keep.
Most of the artifacts they’d found were made of metal or other hard materials that could withstand being knocked around, so Henry simply tossed the sorted items into the crates.
He also left a note inside and casually wiped away any fingerprints or other traces that might be used to track them. Then he shouldered several crates and, according to the origins of the artifacts, delivered them to museums in Italy or Greece.
The items Kingo wanted were sent to his mansion in Mumbai, India. The things Henry intended to keep were placed in his Manhattan building in New York.
Running back and forth across the world like this took less than half an hour. Most of that time was spent packing everything from the yacht’s deck.
After watching the alien fly around and use his super-speed, Cassandra had long since stopped being amazed. She was already completely accustomed to it.
When Henry was washing down the deck, as though putting the finishing touches on the cleanup, one crate containing the Isu equipment remained. He had simply placed another outer crate around it.
Cassandra asked, "You’re not taking it back to New York?"
"Eh, we’ve still got several days of vacation left. I can’t wait to tinker with this stuff. If I take it back, what am I supposed to play with?"
Henry answered with a smile.
"All right. I don’t mind."
Cassandra spread her hands and headed to the helm.
"So, shall we head back?"
As Cassandra started the yacht’s engine, Henry asked, "Hmm. You don’t want me to push us back?"
"No. We’re close enough that normal sailing will get us back to the island before dinner. Besides, since you’re such a good swimmer, why don’t you catch some seafood along the way and have the island’s chefs prepare it?"
Kingo immediately jumped up.
"Should we catch a swordfish?"
"No. Surely you know that swordfish have such high levels of accumulated heavy metals that many countries have banned their fishing. Eating one occasionally isn’t a big deal, but around the Aegean, the real delicacy we’re after is eel."
"Ah-ha! I can get behind that too. Henry, the fishing is your responsibility."
At the same time, Kingo took several bottles of beer from the yacht’s mini-fridge and tossed them to the others.
Henry caught a bottle as well and didn’t object to having another job added to his list. When it came to food—especially good food—he was always remarkably easy to persuade.
Fishing was naturally no challenge for anyone aboard this yacht. Cassandra had spent a considerable amount of time wandering the seas. Although she had mainly operated around the Aegean as a mercenary hunting the Order of the Ancients, she was no less capable than a professional fisherman.
Once they located a school of fish, Henry didn’t even need proper equipment. He simply jumped into the sea and caught them with his bare hands.
In particular, there was a gigantic moray eel more than three meters long.
Moray eels didn’t hunt like snakes, wrapping themselves tightly around their prey and killing it through constriction.
But this one latched onto Henry’s head with its jaws, its enormous body clinging to the Kryptonian.
Henry simply used his flight ability to leave the surface of the sea, carrying the enormous creature with him, and landed directly on the yacht.
The sight made Gilgamesh and Kingo burst out laughing.
"Henry, are you catching the eel, or did the eel catch you?"
Using his super-strength, Henry pried open the eel’s jaws and freed his head.
The first thing he saw was the two women desperately trying not to laugh.
Henry gave them a pair of dead-fish eyes and said in an utterly flat tone, "If you want to laugh, then laugh. Don’t hold it in. It’s bad for your health."
The Kryptonian got exactly what he wanted...
