Furthermore, this expanse of Starfog lacks the safeguard of golden patterns. Logically, it ought to succumb to that warped Dao, yet astonishingly, this Starfog remains undefiled. Although diminished, it is untainted and unsecured, as if destiny decreed it remain in its original state. While other Starfogs are either corrupted by the twisted Dao or shielded by Daluo, only this particular Starfog perseveres in its pristine form.
"Could this be reincarnation... Is it the might of Reincarnation that preserves our Star River's original essence, unburdened by the need for golden scriptures and impervious to distortion?" Su Tu's initial hypothesis centered on reincarnation. This element, he believed, was the pivotal force shaping the Star River and likely the root cause of everything unfolding.
He fixed his gaze upon that mass of Starfog, his mind adrift in contemplation. The universe, along with all the myriad realms, was far grander than his prior comprehension; setting aside that colossal world, even the innumerable surrounding Starfogs dwarfed this Star River in sheer power. Why then did the Immortal Divine and the Daluos deem it fit to bring the Human Race to this particular Star River? What intrinsic quality makes this Star River so extraordinary?
What makes it so exceptional that the Daluos would collectively intervene, orchestrate a contingency, and even bind the entirety of the Star River's epochs into a cyclical rebirth? Were they in pursuit of a means to defy those dire existences, and could such a world, reliant on its own capabilities, truly achieve that goal? These were entities that even the Daluos found intractable!
Su Tu delved into profound contemplation, his hand involuntarily finding its way to rest upon that very Star River. Abruptly, a shard of silver light pierced his vision, drawing his gaze towards the Starfog as if it possessed the power to cleave through spatial dimensions. Within that expanse of Starfog, he perceived a gargantuan Silver Giant, bearing the weight of the entire cosmos upon its shoulders. At the core of this colossal being, insidious, blood-red tendrils writhed outwards.
These tendrils pulsed with a distinct cadence, each undulation causing the Silver Giant's form to shudder weakly. Su Tu could keenly feel a subtle dissipation of energy with every tremor, though it seemed infinitesimally small, akin to the strength of a mere nine bulls. Yet, it must be understood that the Silver Giant, hailed as the Silver Throne, was a construct born from the combined efforts of all Daluos; even a single strand of its power contained the Dao and methodologies of numerous Daluos. Such might was sufficient to send the entire Star River into a state of upheaval.
"World Light!" A name surfaced in Su Tu's mind. During the True King Competition, World Light had demonstrably wielded the power of the Silver Throne. At that time, Su Tu had assumed this individual had stumbled upon some serendipitous discovery through the endless cycles of reincarnation, thereby acquiring a fragment of the Silver Throne's might. However, current revelations suggested a far different reality!
This entity had been drawing power directly from the Silver Throne itself! "Impossible; no matter how potent or formidable World Light may be, it is utterly incapable of siphoning power from the Silver Throne..." Su Tu's brow furrowed. Having recently vanquished the Three Deceits Cult, his Heart and Spirit had ascended to unprecedented heights, even elevating his Inference of Heaven to the level of Dao Fruit. He had previously surmised that upon returning to his physical form and employing his inherent abilities, coupled with this enhanced Heart and Spirit, he could, at the very least, break free from that peculiar wood bondage, if not outright eliminate World Light.
His physical body was integral to his strategy; escaping the strange wood would inherently thwart World Light's machinations. But if World Light possessed the capacity to steal power from the Silver Throne, then the entire situation was far more complex than anticipated. At that precise moment, Su Tu seemed to grasp an unsettling truth, his expression darkening subtly. Since his Inference of Heaven had attained Dao Fruit status, it granted him not only the ability to perceive beyond ordinary transcendence but also the faculty to instantly examine all past, present, and future possibilities and anomalies.
This newfound perception birthed an even more dire and terrifying realization within Su Tu's consciousness. Whoosh!! At this instant, the influence of the Dao Fruit began to wane; the surrounding world dissolved into phantasmagoria, the Starfog vanished, the heavens and earth became a boundless void, and all things appeared as ephemeral as a dream. Only Su Tu remained, standing resolutely, his visage no longer reflecting the elation of attaining Dao Fruit but rather a profound, weighty solemnity.
"How could World Light possibly pilfer power from the Silver Throne?" he mused. "But if..." "If the Silver Throne willingly bestowed its power, then everything would align logically, including his exemption from the reincarnation cycle..." Su Tu's gaze trembled slightly.
If his conjecture held true, the entity he confronted was neither World Light nor some Void Spirit; that pitiable figure yearning for his lost homeland was merely a puppet. The true architect behind these events was none other than... The Silver Giant, painstakingly crafted from the collective might of all the Daluos!!!
Su Tu suddenly cast his gaze upward towards the grand ceiling, his eyes alight with intricate patterns that seemed to pierce through space itself, offering glimpses of the future and illuminating the threads of causality.
Spanning immeasurable light years and traversing countless ages, Su Tu perceived a pair of silver eyes, chillingly cold, gazing down from above the Star River. The entirety of the Star River appeared to be contained within that silvery hand, with Su Tu standing at its distant end, observing.
...Death Star Realm. World Light sat cross-legged in the void, his gaze fixed on the distant Star River, a subtle smile gracing his lips.
Within the Star River, spectacular bursts of light, akin to fireworks, would periodically erupt. Crimson flames consumed stars, while ethereal azure lights brought frost to all life. These were the advanced civilizations, 'protecting' the Star River, compelled to war against other civilizations in their pursuit of the Void Spirit.
The Death Star Realm occupied a unique position, far removed from all Star Rivers. Despite its geographical distance, it held a vantage point above most of them. Observing from here was like being on a balcony, witnessing a fireworks display composed of endless bloodshed and cries.
World Light’s smile didn't reach his eyes, devoid of any genuine amusement. "Soon, it will be very soon. Once this is over, there will be no need to pave the road with your blood anymore."
"It seems the Human Race has made strides, but this is also to be expected. This race, in every cycle of reincarnation, always manages to produce anomalies when all other civilizations stagnate, bringing progress and change to themselves. How unfair, so unfair. Merely because certain existences favor you more, you get to use our homeland as your cradle?"
World Light murmured, his voice exceptionally calm, yet his eyes overflowed with a suppressed madness and rage. Anyone who heard him would involuntarily shiver.
"However, it will happen very soon. After this concludes, the Human Race will cease to exist, and so will the Void Spirit. Our world will finally return to our control..."
A genuine smile finally touched World Light’s face as he spoke these words. Yet, the moment he finished speaking...
~Empty~
The surrounding space contorted violently, and a black hole materialized from nowhere, engulfing World Light before he could even react.
A void, hollow and vast, filled with only a stark silver-white. This was a boundless expanse, where directions held no meaning, spatial laws were absent, and even time ceased its flow.
World Light surveyed his surroundings, exclaiming in surprise, "You actually came to find me?"
"This world... has shifted."
A voice emerged, peculiar and hollow, yet carrying myriad whispers within. If a linguist were present, they would be horrified to discover that this voice was the native tongue of every race across the Star River, the collective voice of myriad species speaking as one!
"Shifted? What do you mean!!" World Light's expression flickered.
"They might have noticed..." the hollow voice echoed again.
"What! Didn't you say they were preoccupied with a fierce battle against the ominous, with no spare strength?" World Light sounded alarmed.
"They are beyond conjecture..."
"We must be quick." A hint of agitation entered the hollow voice.
Upon hearing this, World Light’s expression initially froze, then a ruthless glint flashed in his eyes. "Fine. I had intended for this to be a gentler approach, but clearly, that is no longer possible. Since that is the case, let it begin thoroughly. The second Void Spirit invasion—let the final catastrophe be initiated by me!"
