Love You Till the End Chapter 1212 - 1210: Shi Mei vs. Shi Keke (57)
Previously on Love You Till the End...
Mei turned, scrutinizing Mei from head to toe, then let out a curt sound of acknowledgment.
What was the meaning behind that sound?
Keke knitted her brows in displeasure. "Are you simply going to watch your sister like this without lending a hand?"
"What else can I do?" His chiseled, handsome features, illuminated by the sun, possessed a captivating brilliance, an almost hypnotic sheen.
Keke, who usually prided herself on her self-control, faltered for a moment, almost ensnared by his charm.
"Can you help me get my heel out of this shoe?" she inquired.
Mei cast a nonchalant glance her way, unmoved, uttering only, "Don't you know how to take off your own shoe?"
Keke understood his pique. Earlier, she had mentioned the newly transferred male student was his idol and that she had secretly watched him play basketball, even sketching him.
"Fine, I'll take it off myself."
As she said this, Keke leaned on Mei's arm, bending to remove her shoe. However, Mei abruptly pulled his hand away, causing her to lose her balance.
Fortunately, her reflexes were sharp, and she managed to brace herself on the ground with her hand, narrowly avoiding a fall.
The phrase 'repaying kindness with ingratitude' immediately came to Keke's mind.
She looked up at him, a smile replacing any hint of anger. "Brother, do you know what I like most about you?"
Mei regarded her with a blank expression, showing no inclination to respond. His eyes were dark and unreadable, seemingly conveying a distinct lack of interest.
Yet, Keke's question wasn't seeking his opinion; regardless of his response, she intended to provide the answer herself.
"It's that you can't stand me, but you're powerless to do anything about it." Her smile was mischievous, a playful challenge glinting in her eyes.
"Powerless to do anything about you?" Mei finally spoke, his voice dropping to a deep, chilling tone. "Keke, overconfidence can be a detrimental trait sometimes."
"Are you going to do something about me then?" Keke asked, her fingers deftly untying her shoe strap. Her casual demeanor held a captivating allure.
"I won't do anything about you," Mei replied, a subtle, mocking curve gracing his lips, making his true thoughts and feelings impossible to decipher.
"It's not that you can't, it's that you won't. A woman like me – with a great figure, a lovely face, eloquent, and possessing queenly style – is a rare find. If you were to 'do' something about me, it would be a significant loss."
Mei's gaze deepened as he studied her. After a pause of four or five seconds, he stepped closer, bending down and murmuring near her ear, "I would only do *you*."
Initially, Keke didn't grasp the implication of his words; her mind hadn't ventured in that direction. It was only when she met his roguish, wicked gaze that the meaning became clear.
Suddenly, she understood the meaning of digging her own pit. Her intention was merely to provoke him slightly, yet he had seized the opportunity, turning the tables and teasing her instead.
"Brother, I think it's time we had a serious talk about life." Keke turned her face away slightly, avoiding his warm breath, and calmly stated, "Given our current relationship, the most we can do is hold hands and share little kisses. Words like 'do' can be spoken, but they should not be acted upon."
Mei straightened, leisurely adjusting his shirt collar, and slowly responded, "Indeed, I have no intention of acting upon them either."
