Shi Mei brutally shoots Qian Hao in the leg in his carriage as a warning. Meanwhile, Shi Keke is ambushed outside the courtroom by a group of thugs hired by Qian Hao.

The area surrounding the courtroom buzzed with a chaotic energy, pedestrians deliberately steering clear, anxious not to be caught in a situation they had no business being involved in.

Yet, amidst the dozens of onlookers, Shi Keke stood composed, an air ofNeither nervousness nor fear about her.

Her upbringing within the Shi family had instilled in her a core principle taught by her elders: 'If others do not wrong me, I shall not wrong them. Should they wrong me, I will retaliate.'

On numerous occasions, she refrained from initiating conflict, not out of meekness or a lack of youthful impulsiveness, but because she consistently adhered to the Shi family's strict tenets.

The rules were clear: Do not seek trouble, do not create trouble, and do not provoke trouble.

This instance marked the solitary occasion where she acted on impulse, setting aside family rules and their potential repercussions.

As a lawyer dedicated to justice and as a woman standing firm, she championed Zhang Er's cause, a decision that led her to cross a forbidden line.

Precisely as Qian Hao had warned earlier, the charges of intentional harm and defamation, if proven, would lead to the revocation of her lawyer's license, effectively ending her legal career.

Still, she harbored no regrets; her life had always been a testament to order and adherence to the rules, and embracing a moment of intense fervor was far from a negative experience.

"You, woman, of all people, you dared to provoke Brother Hao! Do you think Brother Hao is someone easily trifled with? You truly overestimate yourself, utterly ignorant of your own standing!"

The assembled group, summoned by Qian Hao, consisted of numerous unemployed ruffians, individuals accustomed to earning a living through illicit activities like physical assault, often to fund their vices.

Among them were individuals with prior convictions, whose time in prison had done little to deter them; quite the opposite, they had emerged more audacious, perpetuating various wicked deeds with the financial backing provided by Qian Hao's ill-gotten gains.

"In Du City, there is no one I cannot afford to offend," Shi Keke stated, subtly shifting backward and then slowly curving her lips into a slight smile. "Do you genuinely believe that a handful of nobodies like you can inflict any harm upon me?"

One of the men scoffed, "Hah! Such a sharp tongue you have! I wonder if it will remain so eloquent after we've severed your hands and feet in a short while. Let me assure you, we are not here for pleasantries. You may call us scum, but we are quite capable of turning you into one. The thrill of playing with you first might just send you straight to the heavens! Haha!"

His cruel amusement was echoed by the others, their laughter fueled by depraved thoughts as their gazes lasciviously swept over Shi Keke.

"The allure of a uniform is certainly tempting... just the thought of it gets me hard..." one man muttered, provocatively rubbing his hands together.

"A group encounter would be even more thrilling. We brothers can take turns, enjoying her from head to toe until she's utterly spent!" another exclaimed, voicing an even more vile fantasy.

"Brother Hao treats us generously; such a premium-quality item isn't something one can acquire with mere pocket change. It would be a waste to simply dispose of her. Why don't we take her for ourselves first, indulge to our hearts' content, and then decide her fate?" a suggestion was made.

"Absolutely not, doing so would complicate matters with Brother Hao," the apparent leader interjected. "You lot, hold back for now. Once this task is completed and the payment secured, you can find yourselves some entertainment elsewhere. Do not dwell on this woman; she is Brother Hao's target. Quickly seize her, break her limbs, and leave her crippled!"

With that directive, the others reluctantly suppressed their desires, prioritizing the financial reward. Their greed ensured that any deviation from the assigned task could jeopardize their earnings.
