Love You Till the End Chapter 1196 - 1194: Shi Mei vs Shi Keke (41)
Previously on Love You Till the End...
Upon hearing the commotion, Shi Keke turned her head to witness Qian Hao brutally seizing Zhang Er’s hair and slamming her head against the ground with force.
Chen Shijin attempted to intervene and calm Qian Hao, but her efforts were futile. Not only did Qian Hao show no signs of ceasing his assault, but he began to strike with even greater ferocity.
Zhang Er desperately shielded her head with her hands, curling her body into a ball. Witnessing this, Qian Hao’s rage escalated, and he resorted to punching and kicking her.
"I'm going over there now. You inch closer and record a video of Qian Hao attacking her. It might be useful later," Shi Keke instructed her companion before swiftly moving towards Zhang Er and Qian Hao. Behind her, Wei Shenshen cautioned, "Master, please be cautious. A man who resorts to violence against his own wife is capable of any outrageous act!"
"Please stop, I'm begging you, don't hit me anymore..."
Unable to withstand Qian Hao’s savage assault any longer, Zhang Er couldn't help but sob uncontrollably. In that moment, she felt utterly alone and helpless, as if the entire world had plunged into darkness.
"Stop hitting you? Hmph! I'd rather beat you to death! You wretched woman, you actually have the audacity to consider filing for divorce. Let me tell you, even if you manage to get the money, you can forget about living a peaceful life. I will never, ever let you go!" Qian Hao viciously kicked Zhang Er squarely in the stomach, all traces of their past affection evaporating in the heat of his fury.
"Ah..." Zhang Er shrieked, her tears of agony streaming down her face like pearls snapped from a string.
"Scum!" In an uncharacteristic move, Shi Keke, striking a man unrelated to her for the very first time, brought her briefcase down hard on Qian Hao’s head, finally forcing him away from Zhang Er.
"How dare you strike me? Do you have any idea who I am?" Qian Hao clutched his head, his eyes blazing at Shi Keke with incandescent rage, as if he intended to tear her limb from limb.
"I know, I certainly know. You are the lowest form of scum I’ve ever encountered, the most detestable hypocrite I have ever laid eyes upon."
Shi Keke’s voice remained remarkably steady as she delivered her retort. She cast a dismissive glance at Qian Hao before bending down to assist the fallen Zhang Er.
Instinctively, Zhang Er retreated behind Shi Keke, her body trembling with fear of Qian Hao, terrified he would resume his assault.
"There's no need to be afraid; everything is alright now," Shi Keke said softly, her hand gently clasped with Zhang Er's in a comforting gesture.
"You say it’s alright, and therefore it is?" Qian Hao scoffed coldly. "Lawyer Chen, this woman has not only assaulted me but has also slandered my character. I intend to press charges against her immediately."
"Mr. Qian, let's engage in a calm discussion. Whatever the issue may be, we can sit down and resolve it through dialogue. Pursuing legal action for every minor dispute could potentially damage your reputation, so I urge you not to act rashly."
Chen Shijin offered her advice to Qian Hao with a kind tone. She then turned to Shi Keke, her expression shifting slightly. "Lawyer Shi, I implore you to be mindful of your professional standing. You are a lawyer, not some common street brawler. Your conduct reflects upon your entire team, and indeed, the legal profession as a whole. Please do not jeopardize your promising future over such a trivial matter. Perhaps an apology to Mr. Qian would suffice, allowing us to de-escalate the situation and consider it resolved. Mr. Qian would then refrain from pursuing any action against you."
Shi Keke let out a laugh. "I would sooner apologize to a dog than to this degenerate. You wish to hold me accountable? Bring it on; I, Shi Keke, would be more than delighted to face your legal challenges. And Chen Shijin, there's truly no need to feign such an amiable demeanor in front of me, as your underhanded tactics are quite apparent to everyone."
