Shi Keke receives a mysterious delivery of milk. When asked by her assistant, Wei Shenshen, about the sender, Shi Keke directs her attention elsewhere but later texts her brother, Shi Mei, to thank him. She tries the milk and finds it unpleasant. Shi Mei then calls her.

Upon hearing Shi Keke’s sound of retching, Shi Mei on the other end of the phone adopted a colder gaze, speaking with a chill, "Shi Keke, I have cautioned you numerous times. Don't consume coffee on an empty stomach; it wreaks havoc on your digestion. Why do you never seem to remember?"

He likely surmised Shi Keke felt unwell due to drinking coffee without having eaten, a habit he was aware of. Shi Mei had reminded her multiple times that an empty stomach and coffee were a detrimental combination, urging her to break this detrimental habit.

However, Shi Keke seemed oblivious to self-care, never truly internalizing his advice. She continued to drink coffee irrespective of whether she had eaten any breakfast.

"It has nothing to do with coffee; this isn't the first time I've had it," Shi Keke replied. She set down the milk, picked up her coffee, and took a sip, which somehow alleviated her discomfort.

"Then why were you just retching?" Shi Mei's voice deepened, laced with a seemingly suppressed anger.

"Feeling nauseous makes one retch," Shi Keke answered with blunt honesty.

"Haven't you investigated the cause of your stomach's unease?"

"Perhaps I'm pregnant. Last month, after a night of heavy drinking, I woke up in your bed. My intuition suggests you did something to me," Shi Keke stated. She turned, walking towards the expansive floor-to-ceiling window, and pulled back the curtains. Leaning against the glass, she observed the vibrant cityscape, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

"Shi Keke," Shi Mei uttered, his tone emphasizing his words. A hint of hostility seemed to transmit through the phone. "Are you unaware if anything transpired between us?"

"I am aware," Shi Keke responded with a smile. "I was aching all over, as if I'd been hit by a truck. Later, I looked it up online, and well, it seems to be post-*ex syndrome."

Shi Mei: "..."

Shi Keke: "Seriously, brother, what if I really am pregnant? You know our relationship isn't public yet; we're still perceived as siblings."

"Shi Keke, stop playing coy with me," Shi Mei retorted. She had indeed been intoxicated that night, yet her senses had been remarkably sharp. He had merely offered to help clean her face with hot water, but she had vehemently shielded her chest, exclaiming, "Men and women must not touch, especially given our unusual relationship. We are siblings, actual siblings, and we shouldn't cross boundaries or behave improperly... no hand-holding, no hugging, no touching, no physical contact... and most definitely, no sleeping together... do you understand?"

At that moment, Shi Mei was incensed and left Shi Keke alone in the room. As for her feeling sore all over the following morning, that was entirely a consequence of her own actions.

He hadn't even touched her. Therefore, if she were pregnant, it would indeed be quite peculiar.

"Oh, if you truly didn't do that thing with me, then perhaps I'm pregnant with someone else's child," Shi Keke mused for a moment before saying, "I intend to visit the hospital after work to confirm if I'm pregnant. If I am, I'll need to find the father."

Shi Mei, who was driving at the time, heard her words. His eyes turned as icy as frost as he abruptly slammed on the brakes, halting the car so suddenly that the vehicle behind nearly rear-ended him.

"Can't you drive properly! Honestly!"

The irate driver of the car behind poked his head out of the window, grumbling his displeasure before returning to his seat and blaring his horn at the car ahead.
