Bei Mo announced his engagement, prompting Qi Jingren to seek confirmation from her father, Mo Jin. Mo Jin revealed Bei Mo proposed willingly and that his previous actions were to protect Qi Jingren from the Bei family. Qi Jingren then challenged Mo Jin, asking to pursue marriage herself and requesting a six-month deadline to prove her financial independence. Mo Jin agreed, provided she avoids scandal. Consequently, Mo Jin also agreed to cancel Qi Jingren's engagement to Shi Aoju, but warned her to be careful and avoid premarital pregnancy.

Qi Jingren and Qin Shaobai commenced their relationship openly and without pretense. Their perspective was that the challenges of the path ahead were less significant than the shared experiences and bonds forged through overcoming adversity together.

Qi Jingren made a modest investment of one dollar into Song Zhike's new video game venture. The principal reason Song Zhike accepted this investment, however, stemmed from Qin Shaobai's influence; as they were brothers, allowing his brother's partner a favorable deal was deemed appropriate.

"Within six months, your task is to multiply that single dollar into one hundred thousand," Qin Shaobai declared, setting a demanding condition.

"Why don't you just propose I go out and rob someone?" Song Zhike retorted, rolling his eyes. The prospect of a thousandfold return on a one-dollar investment was a stroke of luck he'd never experienced himself.

"At worst, I can provide you with a few more billiard rooms," Qin Shaobai offered matter-of-factly. Observing Song Zhike's continued dissatisfaction, he added another assurance: "In your later years, I will personally see to your care."

Song Zhike responded, "I'll grudgingly accept the billiard rooms, but the arrangement for you to support me in my old age, let's forgo that. It sounds as though I'd be some sort of kept man."

"You do carry that sort of aura," Shi Tianjue interjected nonchalantly from beside him, engrossed in a game.

Upon hearing this, Song Zhike flicked the cigarette pack in his hand towards Shi Tianjue. Shi Tianjue, with a swift backhand, caught it, smoothly extracted a cigarette, and lit it.

"Appreciated," he mumbled, tossing the pack back to Song Zhike before resuming both his smoking and gaming.

"Tell me, when are you finally going to find a woman and settle down? You're always strutting around us like some wandering vagabond," Song Zhike inquired.

"No plans for that at the moment," Shi Tianjue replied.

"Zhike, don't make it difficult for him. You must realize, not many women take a liking to gentlemen like him. He's already a grown man, yet he still dons red underwear," Qin Shaobai jested.

Song Zhike remained speechless.

Shi Tianjue cast a sly glance at Qin Shaobai, smirking devilishly, "What, have you personally inspected them?"

"My tastes aren't that unusual," Qin Shaobai countered with a raised brow. "Your brother informed me."

"Setting me up again," Shi Tianjue muttered, inhaling deeply from his cigarette. He exhaled slowly, a wisp of smoke escaping the corner of his lips, then smirked, "However, in truth, he's also mocking himself, given our shared predilection."

"I comprehend," Qin Shaobai chuckled heartily. "Twins typically share a psychic connection, so it's quite natural for Jue to have a preference for red undergarments."

Song Zhike couldn't suppress a laugh and, with unwavering loyalty, meticulously documented the exchange between Qin Shaobai and Shi Tianjue, forwarding the recording to Shi Aoju.

Upon receiving the audio file, Shi Aoju was in the midst of a meal with Su Jiuyi. Mistaking it for a business matter, he played the recording aloud in her presence.

Midway through the playback, Su Jiuyi lowered her gaze in embarrassment, finding the discussion between grown men regarding their underwear color rather peculiar.

She idly manipulated her cutlery, patiently waiting for Shi Aoju to conclude listening before looking up at him, attempting to steer the conversation elsewhere: "Uh..."

"Do you happen to know what color I favor?" Shi Aoju inquired, cutting her off before she could change the subject.

"I am unaware," Su Jiuyi answered with haste, almost defensively.

"Oh?" Shi Aoju narrowed his eyes, his gaze intensely fixed upon her.

"I have a slight inkling..." Su Jiuyi confessed, finding herself incapable of concealing anything from Shi Aoju, who always seemed to perceive her innermost thoughts.
