Su Jiuyi continued to sob uncontrollably, unloading years of pent-up frustrations from the Su Family onto Shi Aoju, leaving him equally distraught, covered in tears and snot.
Shi Aoju possessed an extreme aversion to dirt and germs, generally forbidding anyone from touching his personal possessions. Su Jiuyi was the very first person to breach this boundary, daring to disturb his private belongings.
"The housekeeper mentioned your severe cleanliness issues, that many things aren't to be touched by others. So why did you let me cling to you like that?" Su Jiuyi, perhaps sensing her overstep, dabbed her eyes and asked through her sniffles.
Shi Aoju gazed down at the woman cradled in his arms, her face streaked with tears, her hair in disarray. Though not conventionally stunning in this state, she was undeniably captivating.
"You aren't 'others.'" Shi Aoju replied, gently brushing a stray lock of hair from her face. A faint smile played on his lips, his deep eyes twinkling as his sexy mouth curved into a soft arc.
"Then who am I?" Su Jiuyi's gaze was fixed on his features, as if attempting to imprint his image onto her very soul.
"You're my fool." He tapped her forehead lightly with his finger, chuckling softly. "I belong to you. Aren't you afraid of getting dirty? As long as you wish it, I'll let you cling to me for all eternity."
Su Jiuyi stared at him, a sense of bewilderment washing over her. For the first time, she perceived him as incredibly gentle, his words laced with a slow, tender affection, so unlike the cold man she was accustomed to.
Shi Aoju embraced her, tenderly cradling her face in his hands. "Let's get married."

"It's about time Song Zhike churns out a new game. I can conquer this one with my eyes shut." Qi Jingren announced to Qin Shaobai, having once again surpassed the final level.
"I've heard whispers of it being in development." Qin Shaobai replied, resting his chin on his hand as he observed Qi Jingren with a subtle smirk. "Why do I feel like you've become progressively more radiant since you've been with me?"
"As if I wasn't radiant before." Qi Jingren stretched languidly, letting out a yawn. "I'm feeling rather hungry."
"Let's head out for a meal then." Qin Shaobai rose from his seat.
"I'd rather not go out to eat." Qi Jingren remained sprawled on the table, utterly still.
Qin Shaobai cast a glance at her, noting her languid posture, and couldn't suppress a smile. He walked over, sat beside her, gently tilted her face towards his, and inquired, "Shall I cook for you instead?"
"That sounds lovely." Qi Jingren agreed. "I'm craving steak."
Qin Shaobai chuckled. "Consider it done."
Steak was Qi Jingren's favorite. Even before she had moved in, Qin Shaobai had ensured the refrigerator was well-stocked with ingredients, catering to her culinary desires at any moment.
After meticulously preparing the steak, Qin Shaobai artfully arranged it on a plate, then employed a dining knife to sculpt it into a heart shape. Adorning it with an assortment of fruits and vegetables, he presented it to Qi Jingren, subsequently retrieving a bottle of red wine and two goblets from the wine rack.
He poured the wine into the glasses, offering one to Qi Jingren. "1982 Lafite. Your preferred vintage."
Qi Jingren accepted the wine glass, taking a delicate sip. Her gaze drifted to the steak on her plate, and she commented with a touch of indifference, "It looks quite appealing."
Qin Shaobai set down his glass, picking up his knife and fork. He sliced a small piece of steak and offered it to her lips, a roguish grin on his face. "Generally, things prepared by a handsome man are never subpar."
"Qin Shaobai, have you no shame?" Qi Jingren raised a slight eyebrow, giving him a cool, appraising look before biting into the steak presented on the fork.
