Love You Till the End Chapter 1132 - 1140: In Your Heart
Previously on Love You Till the End...
While deep in the embrace of sleep within her chamber, Su Jiuyi perceived Shi Aoju’s voice. Mistaking it for a dream, she paid it little heed and merely turned over, seeking to prolong her slumber.
Yet, as she drifted, a subtle disharmony began to surface. Shi Aoju’s voice resonated with startling clarity, and intermingled were the voices of Su Zhenxiong and Zhao Shuya, intermittently reaching her ears.
Dreaming of Shi Aoju was an entirely natural occurrence, a reflection of daytime thoughts manifesting in sleep. However, Su Zhenxiong and Zhao Shuya—individuals she desperately wished to banish from her existence—how could they possibly feature in her dreams?
Abruptly, Su Jiuyi’s eyes snapped open. She flung back the covers, sitting upright and straining her ears. It dawned on her that the sounds originated from beyond her room. Swiftly, she slid out of bed.
Unlatching her door and stepping out with silent tread, she proceeded to the stairwell. Leaning against the railing, she gazed down into the hall below. Indeed, Shi Aoju was there, lounging languidly upon the sofa positioned in the hall’s center.
Opposite him, Su Zhenxiong and Zhao Shuya were seated, engaged in an animated conversation that caused their faces to split into wide, delighted grins.
Su Jiuyi’s lips tightened into a thin line, her heart silently deriding the couple. They were, in her estimation, nothing more than smiling tigers, presenting a falsified demeanor to the world while their true nature remained hidden.
Concealing herself behind a decorative pillar, she retrieved her phone, intending to send a message to Shi Aoju.
——Why have you come here?
Shi Aoju rarely kept his phone on audible ring, a consequence of his perpetually busy schedule and the incessant stream of calls, which he likely found irksome. Thus, his device was invariably set to vibrate.
Aware of this peculiar habit, Su Jiuyi confirmed the successful dispatch of her message. She then cautiously peered from her hiding spot, a smile playing on her lips as she observed Shi Aoju reach into his pocket to retrieve his phone.
Apparently having noted the message, Shi Aoju’s gaze swept across the surroundings. This prompted Su Jiuyi to swiftly retreat behind the pillar, successfully evading his detection.
Unable to locate Su Jiuyi, Shi Aoju responded with a message of his own.
——Where are you?
Su Jiuyi risked another glance, verifying that she had still not been noticed, before replying to his text.
——Within your heart.
Having dispatched this playful reply, Su Jiuyi watched his reaction with furtive intensity. She anticipated no discernible alteration in Shi Aoju’s stoic expression, as few individuals possessed the ability to sway his mood. Even she, on most occasions, found it challenging to elicit amusement from him, succeeding only by sheer happenstance.
To her utter astonishment, upon perusing her message, Shi Aoju’s lips gradually curved upwards. His normally impassive features softened, suffused with a gentle radiance that emanated beneath the ambient light.
This ethereal glow possessed a captivating quality, capable of warming the soul and enchanting the spirit. Su Jiuyi felt as though she were inebriated, lost in the comforting warmth of his tender regard.
A realization dawned upon her: she was irrevocably ensnared in this intoxicating vortex. It was possible she might remain bound to it indefinitely, compelled to journey onward without respite, incapable of seeking an early departure.
She had never once conceived that she would, one day, be utterly defeated—not by a foe, but by a man. Defeated in her sense of self, her heart surrendered, her entire being lost, a complete and utter vanquishment.
Witnessing Shi Aoju’s quiet laughter as he gazed at his phone left Su Zhenxiong and Zhao Shuya in a state of bewilderment. This seemingly untouchable man, displaying such tender affection, was a mystery they could not fathom.
Within Su Zhenxiong’s recollection, even the rare instances of Shi Aoju offering a smile were devoid of any genuine warmth, instead leaving behind a disconcerting, chilling sensation.
