Following a chaotic breakfast, Riezel, Lizbeth, and Luna navigate their strained relationships as they leave the dining hall. Luna's animosity towards Riezel escalates due to his past actions with Lizbeth, leading to a heated exchange. Their walk is interrupted by a sudden, coordinated attack by knights, servants, and maids, all exhibiting unnaturally fanatical behavior and black eyes. Riezel's magic restrains the attackers, and the group, bewildered, decides to seek out King Hendrick. Their path to the throne room is fraught with more assaults by seemingly possessed individuals. Upon reaching the throne room, they find King Hendrick dead on his throne, prompting a new, powerful voice to demand an explanation.
