Invincible Little School Doctor Chapter 2096: Jigsaw Puzzle

Surrounded by beasts, Ye Haochuan found himself at a loss, instinctively retreating to the side.
Merely two body lengths back, the crimson demon beast had already reached the boundary.
To Ye Haochuan's bewilderment, the demon beast seemed utterly uninterested in him, charging directly towards the gray demon beast on the other side of the boundary.
Upon spotting the crimson beast, the gray one roared relentlessly, as if confronting an ancient foe, exhibiting dominance while also issuing a challenge.
Yet, despite their fierce outward appearances, neither beast dared to cross the boundary, much like two individuals shouting insults but never initiating physical contact.
Ye Haochuan took considerable time to recover from his shock, observing the bizarre tableau with a mixture of amusement and disbelief.
In any case, his life had been spared once more.
However, this encounter impressed upon him the profound dangers lurking within the Yin Yang Marsh, strengthening his resolve to escape sooner.
While he had previously moved without caution, he wouldn't intentionally walk into certain doom.
He attempted to summon his Flying Sword to ascend and exit, but the marsh seemed enveloped by a barrier, thwarting his aerial escape.
The same restriction applied downwards; mere meters into digging, he encountered an unyielding barrier.
Horizontal movement, then?
He hesitated, truly wary of such a move.
From the outside, he had observed that this place comprised countless black and white formations. He surmised that demon beasts were not confined to these two particular regions but likely populated others as well.
For the moment, the standoff between the two beasts afforded him safety. Venturing into a different zone might not bring such luck.
Damnation, was he fated to simply await his demise here?
A sense of gloom washed over Ye Haochuan, despair beginning to creep in.
He had no inkling how long the two demon beasts would remain locked in their confrontation. Once their standoff ceased, his own end would likely follow.
Feeling utterly lost, Ye Haochuan slumped down, inadvertently landing on an irregularly shaped rock, nearly injuring himself.
"Curse it, even the rocks are against me now?" Ye Haochuan fumed, snatching up the stone and tossing it aside.
Rumble~
The stone's flight triggered a sudden tremor in the ground, leaving Ye Haochuan feeling disoriented.
"What just happened?"
Bewildered, Ye Haochuan focused his gaze and discovered that the boundary between the two regions had receded, the distance mirroring how far he had thrown the stone.
The two demon beasts, momentarily taken aback by the abrupt shift, fled in terror and vanished into the distance.
Ye Haochuan thoughtfully approached the spot where the stone had landed, examining it with care.
The stone's material was unfamiliar, resembling a Crystal Stone yet lacking transparency. It was surprisingly light, almost like hollow plastic.
Most peculiar to Ye Haochuan was the stone's color; it appeared white one moment, but with a blink, it seemed black, giving off an unsettling vibe.
"Judging by this fractured edge, it looks like a fragment!" A sudden idea sparked within Ye Haochuan's mind.
If this fragment represented a piece between two black and white formations, could reassembling these fragments potentially restore the Yin Yang Marsh to its original state?
Ye Haochuan was unaware of the Yin Yang Marsh's original form, but he harbored a strong feeling that piecing these fragments together might offer him a path to escape this accursed place.
He acted without delay, picking up the fragment and attempting to place it in his ring, but to no avail. Reluctantly, he had to carry it by hand.
Irritatingly, while holding this fragment, every step he took caused tremors, inducing dizziness.
However, desperate for an escape, he resolved to endure the discomfort, slowing his pace and moving forward incrementally.
Fortunately, this situation wasn't entirely disadvantageous; at the very least, the beasts in the vicinity remained intimidated and preoccupied, refraining from confronting him.
After advancing several tens of steps, Ye Haochuan had still not crossed the boundary, as it continued to recede with his movement, always remaining just out of reach.
Ye Haochuan's brow furrowed further, as this constant ebb and flow prevented him from reuniting the fragments.
In the depths of his despair, the white area ahead suddenly vanished, replaced by another expanse of gray.
Subconsciously, he had traversed the entire white region.
Between the two gray areas, unlike the previous repulsion, Ye Haochuan could finally search for puzzle fragments in peace.
His persistence bore fruit; after a few minutes, he successfully discovered a similar fragment, which fit perfectly with the first piece.
Upon their union, the fracture sealed seamlessly, leaving no trace as if they had never been apart.
"It seems my intuition was correct!" Ye Haochuan rejoiced, his resolve to find more fragments intensifying.
Having gained prior experience, Ye Haochuan's speed drastically increased. Throughout a significant portion of the day, he succeeded in reuniting five fragments.
As Ye Haochuan gradually pieced the fragments together, the patterns within the black and white marsh began to undergo a drastic transformation.
"What exactly is unfolding here?" Cody, observing the marsh's constant state of flux, was entirely filled with doubt.
This Yin Yang Marsh had endured for countless millennia. During this immense span of time, numerous cultivators and beasts had entered its confines, ultimately meeting their demise within.
While pattern changes did indeed occur, they were minimal and insignificant. This present situation, however, was unprecedented, with several white areas merging into one another.
"Could it be because of that young man?" A thought flickered through Cody's mind, but he swiftly dismissed it.
Everyone who enters the Yin Yang Marsh loses their sight, with their fate being either partition by one of the Yin Yang Magical Beasts or some other unidentifiable outcome. No other possibilities existed.
He firmly refused to believe that Ye Haochuan could survive the jaws of the Yin Yang Magical Beasts, let alone accomplish such an astonishing feat.
"Regardless of who is responsible, the alterations within the Yin Yang Marsh are of great significance to the entirety of the Tianxi World. Others must be informed!" Cody pondered briefly, retrieved a Crystal Ball, and thoroughly explained the unfolding events into it.
"Could the prophecy of Lord Divine Ancestor be materializing – the refusion of the Yin Yang Marsh?"
"Impossible! Lord Divine Ancestor once stated that this Yin Yang Marsh is a remnant Magic Artifact belonging to the Hua Clan. Anyone who completes its assembly would undoubtedly be a genius remnant of the Hua Clan, posing a severe catastrophe for our own clan!"
"Certainly not. The Hua Clan has long since declined; surely no more powerhouses from the Hua Clan exist..."
Instantly, a cacophony of voices erupted from the Crystal Ball.
Cody's expression grew grave as he stated, "Regardless of whether this is true or not, please convene together to investigate..."
