Ye Haochuan learned about the power levels of angels and worried about his friends. After letting Rui'er go, he was pursued by a four-winged angel named Cody. Unable to outrun Cody, Ye Haochuan fled into a mysterious black and white swamp.

"Ignorant brat, within this Yin Yang Marsh, it’s not merely a matter of suffering various torments. To have your flesh slowly devoured by Demonic Beasts from both sides is a fate far worse than death!"

Observing Ye Haochuan daringly step into the black and white marsh, Cody's face contorted into a sneer. He couldn't fathom why, even though Ye Haochuan's demise seemed certain, he lingered as if awaiting something rather than leaving immediately.

"Heavenly Eye, activate!"

The unknown surroundings still caused Ye Haochuan a degree of unease, prompting him to quickly activate his Heavenly Eye. However, to his surprise, even with the Heavenly Eye engaged, his vision was restricted to within a meter of himself.

What kind of desolate place is this?

Ye Haochuan couldn't help but marvel; there were few locations that his Heavenly Eye had failed to penetrate before.

Kie nie~

A few chilling breaths emanated from not too far ahead. Ye Haochuan instinctively retreated a couple of steps, his grip tightening on the Halberd of Heaven and Earth as he remained vigilant of his surroundings.

Ka~

Ye Haochuan felt the crunch of something underfoot. Turning, he discovered the remains of a bear-like Demonic Beast. The creature was mangled and grotesquely bloody, its skull completely crushed, its brain nowhere to be seen. Though the beast had been dead for some time, its residual aura was still formidable. Ye Haochuan deduced that in life, this creature possessed a cultivation level comparable to the Late Stage of Immortal Transformation.

Damn it, even beasts at the Late Stage of Immortal Transformation have perished here. That guy outside was correct; the peril in this place is no less than outside!

Ye Haochuan inwardly sighed.

The "kie kie" sounds grew closer, causing Ye Haochuan's heart to pound rapidly, cold sweat beading on his brow. This sensation of being undeniably in danger, yet unable to pinpoint the source, was utterly tormenting.

Yet, the origin of the sound didn't seem inclined to attack immediately. It appeared to be circling Ye Haochuan slowly, allowing him to stew in the agony of endless fear.

Damn it, are you toying with me? Today, I will uncover your true form!

Ye Haochuan sneered inwardly.

"Heavenly Eye, transform!"

As Ye Haochuan spoke, his golden eyes shifted to a crimson hue, accentuating his unsettling appearance of red eyes with blue pupils. Upon the transformation of his eyes, the surrounding colors shifted dramatically; the pervasive darkness dissolved into a brilliant white light. Within this luminous void, however, he could discern a faint silhouette.

It was a bizarrely formed Demonic Beast, possessing a head and maw that resembled an immensely magnified parrot's beak. Its body bore a resemblance to a sea lion, but instead of smooth, plump skin, it was covered in an extremely coarse hide.

Ye Haochuan considered himself fairly knowledgeable about Demonic Beasts, yet he had never encountered one quite like this. This creature is truly… unpleasantly hideous!

Ye Haochuan couldn't help but muse internally.

Despite its grotesque appearance, the creature's formidable strength caused Ye Haochuan to furrow his brow. With his enhanced vision, he was utterly incapable of discerning its cultivation level; not even the slightest aura fluctuation could be detected. He wouldn't be foolish enough to assume this was a mere ordinary beast—the remains of that bear-like creature were still evident; only an imbecile would dismiss it as ordinary.

Furthermore, as Ye Haochuan's field of vision expanded, the carcasses he observed multiplied exponentially. These were not only those of Demonic Beasts but also numerous cultivators', and judging by their state, they had clearly met their end recently.

Kie kie

The beast's gaze abruptly locked onto Ye Haochuan's eyes. It seemed astonished that Ye Haochuan could perceive it. Then, like a pauper stripped of his last shred of dignity, it charged forward in a fit of rage.

With its sudden movement, an immediate sense of mortal danger washed over Ye Haochuan.

Ye Haochuan's heart constricted sharply, and he turned to flee. It wasn't a matter of weakness or cowardice; when confronted with an insurmountable adversary, what recourse did he have but to escape? To stand and fight would be utter folly!

Ye Haochuan bolted, his speed increasing rapidly. However, the beast moved with even greater celerity, bridging the distance between them in the blink of an eye. Ye Haochuan could even discern the rasp of the beast's breath.

Damn it, I'm truly finished this time!

Ye Haochuan's heart sank, despair finally taking hold. In that moment, fragments of his past flashed through his mind—moments of sorrow, joy, regret, and hope. He was disoriented, running purely on instinct.

"Huh? Why does the sense of danger feel like it's vanished?" After some time, when Ye Haochuan's senses cleared, he was profoundly surprised. Mustering his courage, he glanced back and discovered that the hideous beast was indeed no longer pursuing him.

What could be the reason? Could it be that it finds me too handsome to slay?

Ye Haochuan mused jokingly. Of course, it was a jest, but the situation was undeniably peculiar.

Turning around, Ye Haochuan observes that his surroundings have changed. The previous white scenery has been replaced by a greyish hue.

His mutant Heavenly Eye possesses the ability to alter the original colors of objects. What was once a black backdrop had turned white; now, this grey signifies that the area's original color should have been black.

"Have I perhaps entered the black area?" Ye Haochuan ponders.

This marsh appears to be a mosaic of black and white spaces, making another colored zone unlikely.

To test his theory, Ye Haochuan cautiously takes a few steps back.

Around him, apart from the base color alteration, everything else remains consistent. The ground is still strewn with various remains, creating a grim and bloody spectacle.

Approximately half a minute later, Ye Haochuan finally perceives what he has been seeking.

A distinct demarcation separates the grey and white zones, ensuring they do not encroach upon one another.

Beyond this boundary, the monstrous beast continues its furious roars, seemingly enraged by Ye Haochuan's impending escape.

However, regardless of its efforts, the creature dares not breach this dividing line even by a fraction of a step.

Haha, even the heavens are on my side!

Ye Haochuan cannot suppress his elation, secretly marveling at his fortunate turn of events.

He had believed himself doomed, yet unexpectedly, he is spared by these peculiar rules.

Just as he allows himself a moment of quiet relief, a 'kie kie' sound emanates from not far behind him.

Damn it, it can't be that dire, could there be another such creature lurking nearby?

Ye Haochuan's heart plummets, and he quickly spins around to investigate.

At this sight, he is almost compelled to strike himself, lamenting that this jinx is truly unbearable.

Indeed, a hundred meters behind him stands a bizarre-looking beast, remarkably similar in appearance to the previous one, save for its hue; its skin is a vibrant red.

For reasons unknown, this creature seems consumed by fury and, upon its appearance, lets out a roar before charging directly at Ye Haochuan.

A shiver travels down Ye Haochuan's spine. He hesitates to cross the boundary again, momentarily paralyzed and uncertain of his next move.
