Invincible Little School Doctor Chapter 2019: What Exactly Is Going On?
Previously on Invincible Little School Doctor...
The Origin of Attributes, a rare and elusive entity, appears unpredictably and in various forms. Consequently, despite his burning desire to rescue his son, Ye Haochuan found himself paralyzed, unsure of where to even begin his search.
While this bead, radiating a profound Earth Element aura, was undoubtedly the Earth Element Origin, Ye Haochuan remained utterly clueless about the whereabouts of the other four Attribute Origins.
"No matter," he mused, clutching the Earth Element Origin. "At least this is a start. I'm confident that with increased vigilance, I can eventually gather all five Elements Origins."
After securing the bead, Ye Haochuan, uncertain if any other useful items remained within the monster's carcass, decided to transfer everything into his storage ring. If nothing else, these provisions could serve as sustenance.
With these arrangements made, Ye Haochuan cautiously continued his journey deeper into the forest.
This time, he was wiser, meticulously inspecting the ground to avoid another encounter with a creature like the previous one.
He traversed this perilous path for an entire day.
As he ventured further, the surrounding fog intensified, and Ye Haochuan observed that the Demon Beasts lurking in the vicinity grew increasingly numerous and fearsome.
Were it not for his Perspective Eyes and his mastery of concealing his aura, he would have surely been torn to shreds by these monstrous creatures by now.
"Damn it, is Le Yao deliberately trying to get me killed?" he cursed inwardly. "If I press on, I'm doomed!" At this juncture, the Demon Beasts surrounding him were already in the middle to late stages of Immortal Transformation – any direct confrontation would undoubtedly lead to irreversible catastrophe.
"Hmm? It's those two fellows!"
Suddenly, two hunched figures materialized within Ye Haochuan's field of vision, causing him to start in surprise.
These were the same individuals he had overheard discussing a treasure in the tavern earlier. Unlike Ye Haochuan, who had the "audacity" to traverse the surface, they were making swift progress through an underground passage.
This tunnel originated from another direction, leading deeper into the forest, and coincidentally, it ran parallel to Ye Haochuan's chosen route.
"To run into these two again in such a short span of time," Ye Haochuan marveled, "I must share some profound destiny with them!"
He hadn't anticipated this turn of events; it seemed they had entered from separate directions yet converged at this precise location.
"Could the treasure they spoke of be the same place Le Yao mentioned?" A suspicion began to form in Ye Haochuan's mind.
The more he pondered it, the more convinced he became. How else could there be so many valuable treasures concentrated in a single area?
"Blast it all, seeking treasure, yet such disparity in our journeys!"
Ye Haochuan couldn't help but grumble to himself.
The pair were clearly far more fortunate than he; they had discovered an underground tunnel devoid of any Demon Beast threats, a perfectly secure route. In stark contrast, Ye Haochuan had to navigate with extreme caution, constantly fearing he might become a powerful beast's next meal should he falter.
Ye Haochuan's frustration was short-lived as he reached the tunnel's entrance. After excavating through nearly a hundred meters of earth, he finally managed to breach the passage.
The tunnel itself was not expansive but was constructed from blue bricks. Despite its apparent age, it remained remarkably sturdy.
The two men were already some distance ahead and had not yet noticed Ye Haochuan. To avoid raising suspicion, Ye Haochuan deliberately maintained a safe distance, planning to let them face any potential dangers first.
In retrospect, Ye Haochuan's caution was somewhat excessive, as the tunnel was entirely free of traps, rendering it completely safe.
Approximately ten minutes later, the path was abruptly obstructed by a massive gate. Ye Haochuan was unable to ascertain its material, as even his Perspective Eyes could not penetrate its formidable surface.
The two men had evidently encountered this obstacle before; they bypassed the gate entirely, opting to scramble through a small opening situated above it.
After their passage, Ye Haochuan attempted to move the gate himself, but even the formidable Divine Concealment Sword could not budge it an inch. With no other recourse, he had no choice but to follow their lead through the narrow aperture.
"Wow! A Crimson Blood Tree and a colossal stone!" Even before fully emerging from the confined space, Ye Haochuan's Perspective Eyes clearly perceived the scene unfolding before him, eliciting a chuckle of amusement.
The truth was, the treasure these two were so eagerly pursuing was indeed identical to the one Le Yao had described.
"It appears my luck isn't too shabby; the heavens must have known I couldn't find it on my own, so they sent these two living maps to guide me!"
Ye Haochuan found some amusement in this turn of events, chuckling silently to himself.
At that precise moment, as the pair advanced towards the colossal stone, one of them abruptly halted and scanned their surroundings with a keen, vigilant gaze.
"What's wrong?"
His companion immediately stopped, inquiring softly.
"I had the distinct sensation of being watched," the first man replied with caution.
"Impressive! This fellow certainly has sharp senses!"
Concealed within the narrow passage, Ye Haochuan remained utterly motionless, his extraordinary Perspective Eyes casually observing the two individuals locked in a tense standoff, a silent commentary unfolding in his mind.
Without the god-tier Perspective Eyes at his disposal, the duo could never have detected Ye Haochuan's presence; consequently, they soon dismissed their apprehension and proceeded onward.
Yet, their progress became markedly more deliberate, with several minutes consumed for a distance that would normally take mere steps.
Upon arriving at the colossal stone, they did not immediately attempt to dislodge it and reveal the entrance. Instead, they positioned themselves beside it, seemingly anticipating something.
Ye Haochuan, exhibiting remarkable patience, chose to wait alongside them.
It was only when the moon ascended to its highest point in the sky that the pair finally rose to their feet.
Concurrently, Ye Haochuan was utterly astonished by the spectacle that unfolded before him.
Illuminated by the moonlight, the vicinity of the Crimson Blood Tree was transformed into a shimmering pool, while the immense stone seemed to dissolve into the very air.
As Ye Haochuan stood in bewildered awe, the two figures moved with the unsteady gait of those who had indulged too heavily in drink.
What is transpiring here?
Ye Haochuan was left perplexed, unsure of the fate that had befallen the two individuals.
Abruptly, they vanished as if they had never existed, evaporating into nothingness.
"Where did they go?"
Shock rippled through Ye Haochuan. His Heavenly Eye had remained active throughout the entire ordeal, yet he had no recollection of how they had disappeared.
He promptly emerged from the tunnel, hastening to the spot where they had last been seen.
However, the area appeared as nothing more than an ancient tree beside a tranquil pool, devoid of any remarkable features. Furthermore, the location marked by the colossal stone revealed no sign of the tunnel Le Yao had mentioned.
Nonetheless, a scattering of fresh footprints was discernible at the bottom of the pool, serving as irrefutable proof that Ye Haochuan's vision had not deceived him; someone had indeed traversed this place recently.
Peculiarly, the footprints themselves were highly unusual. Only a portion of each print was visible, and it was neither the front nor the back half. Instead, they were split vertically, with some prints appearing on the left and others on the right, creating a profoundly bizarre scene.
What in the world could be happening?
Ye Haochuan's thoughts were in utter disarray.
