Invincible Divine Sword Chapter 2088: Discovering the Primordial Universe Taoist

Previously on Invincible Divine Sword...
Yang Xiaotian and his companions have entered the treacherous Dragon Destruction Cave, ignoring the warnings of Princess Long Ji and the Silver Heavenly Dragon Clan. While navigating the cave’s lethal restrictions and soul-suppressing auras, Yang Xiaotian reveals his shocking breakthrough to the Holy Emperor Realm, displaying power far beyond his years. As the group searches for the Primordial Universe Taoist and a rare Seven Hundred-Million-Year Divine Medicine, they cross paths once more with the surprised Silver Heavenly Dragon Clan deep within the cavern plains.

Upon hearing the other party mention that his group possessed significant power, Yang Xiaotian chuckled. "Your own strength is quite impressive as well. Have you also come seeking the seven-billion-year-old Divine Medicine?"

Long Ji let out a hearty laugh. Her mirth was bold and unrestrained, radiating a sense of candid honesty.

She fixed her gaze on Yang Xiaotian and laughed, "You truly are an intriguing individual."

It was hard for her to imagine that Yang Xiaotian’s party hadn't deduced her true identity. Yet, the fact that they knew and still spoke to her with such ease sparked a genuine interest in the young man standing before her.

"You aren't a native of the Ancestor Dragon Realm, are you?" Long Ji inquired with a faint smile. "The Dragon Destruction Cave is a perilous place. Even though your Cultivation is decent, it would be wise for you to turn back."

"The seven-billion-year-old Divine Medicine hidden within the Dragon Destruction Cave is not a prize easily claimed."

Shaking his head, Yang Xiaotian replied, "Beyond my search for that Divine Medicine, I am also here to locate someone."

Long Ji was taken aback. Entering a death trap like the Dragon Destruction Cave just to find a person?

"Who is it you are searching for?" Long Ji asked with a smile. "Perhaps I can offer some assistance."

"I am looking for the Primordial Universe Taoist," Yang Xiaotian revealed. "My master, the Primordial Universe Taoist, ventured into the Dragon Destruction Cave several years ago."

"The Primordial Universe Taoist!" Long Ji exclaimed in surprise. "Are you truly a disciple of the Primordial Universe Taoist?"

"Are you acquainted with my master?" Yang Xiaotian asked, unable to hide his curiosity.

"I am," Long Ji confirmed with a nod. "I have crossed paths with your master in the past. I had no idea he had entered the Dragon Destruction Cave. Let us do this: we shall continue our searches separately. Should I find any trace of your master, I will send word to you."

"Very well, my thanks." Yang Xiaotian cupped his fists in a gesture of respect before the two parties exchanged Message Talismans.

With a surge of Qi, Yang Xiaotian’s group took to the air and departed.

Long Ji, accompanied by the warriors of the Silver Heavenly Dragon Clan, flew off in a different direction.

"Princess, your heart is simply too soft," a senior Elder of the Silver Heavenly Dragon Clan remarked with a sigh of complaint.

"Indeed, and there is no telling if that youth is actually a disciple of the Primordial Universe Taoist," another Elder added, echoing the sentiment.

As Yang Xiaotian and his companions traveled, the Destroying Heaven Demon, the Blood Demon Old Monster, and the others began discussing the Silver Heavenly Dragon Princess.

"That Princess Long Ji is remarkably kind-hearted," the Blood Demon Old Monster noted.

"I’d say it is simply our Holy Master’s extraordinary charm," the Destroying Heaven Demon joked. "No matter where we travel, there are always beauties eager to lend a hand."

The group erupted into laughter.

Seeing his subordinates teasing him, Yang Xiaotian smiled. "Seniors, please..."

But midway through his sentence, Yang Xiaotian abruptly stopped. He stared ahead in shock, having just detected a faint resonance of the Hongmeng Holy Body’s power.

Even though the sensation was gone in an instant, Yang Xiaotian was certain his senses hadn't betrayed him.

In this vast world, the only other person who should possess the Hongmeng Holy Body was his master, the Primordial Universe Taoist.

Could it be him?!

Yang Xiaotian suddenly accelerated through the air, shouting to the group, "This way!"

Startled, the others wasted no time and followed closely behind him.

Seeing their confusion, Yang Xiaotian briefly explained that he had sensed the unique aura of the Hongmeng Holy Body just moments ago.

Meanwhile, within a specific stretch of sea ahead, the Primordial Universe Taoist was trapped inside an Innate Grand Array. He was desperately striking at the array's restrictions, trying to shatter the barrier and flee.

But the power of this Innate Grand Array far exceeded his expectations. No matter how much Qi he poured into his attacks, the formation remained unshaken.

What truly filled the Primordial Universe Taoist with dread was the fact that this array was relentlessly siphoning away his blood energy and life force. It had been draining him for years, leaving him in a state of extreme exhaustion. At this rate, he wouldn't last another year before being completely withered to death.

He had pushed his Hongmeng Holy Body to its absolute limits, yet even that legendary physique could not halt the array's devouring process. His vitality continued to seep away.

Deep within the Dragon Destruction Cave, there was a total absence of people. Few ever dared to enter this place, making the prospect of rescue almost non-existent.

Was his journey destined to end here?

Drained of his life force and blood energy, the Primordial Universe Taoist panted heavily, his face a ghostly pale. After his latest attempt to break free, he was forced to sit cross-legged and consume Elixirs to stabilize his ragged breathing.

Just as he began to meditate, a thunderous, savage roar echoed through the area.

The sound made the Primordial Universe Taoist’s expression darken instantly.

His greatest fear was that his attempts to break the Innate Grand Array would draw the attention of the local Fierce Beasts.

Sure enough, a massive shadow soon loomed in the distance. An Earth Dragon Beast, wreathed in a terrifying evil aura, was hurtling toward his location.

The energy radiating from this Earth Dragon Beast was immense—it was easily as strong as he had been during his peak.

Now, weakened and imprisoned by the array, he stood no chance against such a creature.

The Earth Dragon Beast reached the perimeter of the array and unleashed a devastating palm strike.

The sheer force of the blow bypassed the array's boundaries, forcing the Primordial Universe Taoist to scramble away in a panic.

Although he avoided a direct hit, the shockwave of the palm strike clipped him, sending him tumbling backward as a thin trail of blood escaped his lips.

Before he could even regain his footing, the Earth Dragon Beast launched a second attack.

Just as it seemed the Primordial Universe Taoist would be crushed, several brilliant rays of light suddenly tore through the sky. They obliterated the Earth Dragon Beast’s palm force and pierced straight through its massive hide.

With a deafening bang, the Earth Dragon Beast’s body was blown into fragments.

This sudden turn of events left the Primordial Universe Taoist frozen in shock.

He looked up and saw a youth dressed in blue robes, accompanied by nine powerful figures, descending toward him.

Upon seeing the blue-robed young man, the Primordial Universe Taoist trembled violently. Could it be?

The arrivals were indeed Yang Xiaotian and his group from the Abyss of Darkness.

In a flash, Yang Xiaotian landed before the Primordial Universe Taoist. Looking at his mentor, Yang Xiaotian was overcome with emotion. In the lower realms, this man had been his master.

"Master," Yang Xiaotian spoke. He tried to remain calm, but the word "Master" carried an excitement he couldn't fully mask.

"You... are you Xiaotian?!" The Primordial Universe Taoist stared at him, his own excitement mirrored in his eyes.

Though they had never met in person, he was well aware of Yang Xiaotian’s legendary exploits across the Three Pure Continents, the Mist Continent, and the Feiyang Continent.

This young man was truly his youngest disciple!

"Master, let us get you out of there first!" Seeing the dire state of his master’s life force, Yang Xiaotian immediately coordinated with the Abyss of Darkness and the Dragon Corpse Beast to shatter the trapping formation.

As the array crumbled, the Primordial Universe Taoist stepped out, feeling as though he had been granted a second life. He grabbed Yang Xiaotian’s hand with fervor. "Xiaotian!" He then turned and cupped his fists toward the Abyss of Darkness and the others. "I thank you all for my life."

Knowing that this man was Yang Xiaotian’s master, the experts from the Abyss of Darkness and the Dragon Corpse Beast did not dare act with arrogance, politely returning the gesture.

"Master, I must heal your wounds," Yang Xiaotian said. He first offered the Primordial Universe Taoist a Primordial Life Holy Fruit to eat, then activated his Ultimate Life Holy Body to begin the treatment.

Under the restorative glow of Yang Xiaotian’s Thirty-Three Layer Ultimate Life Holy Body, the Primordial Universe Taoist’s depleted blood energy and life force began to rapidly recover.
